I never trust these ico rating websites. I saw too many thing about that sites. and you shouldnt trust these websites.generally they want money for these ratings. I also saw some scam icos in some rating websites. so they dont care about investors.

They seem biased to me. A friend of mine who's doing an ICO told me that they paid 10ETH for 5 quality ratings and that's that! I noticed that some ICOs with good project, team, and good social media presence are struggling with getting good reviews.

With all that said, should it still be a factor to look at when investing in ICO?

It doesn't matter that there are ICO rating sites which you can bribe(what site was that btw?) in order to obtain a better rating. The good news is that there are many ICO rating sites and when considering investing in an ICO you have to check out all of them. Even ratings on sh*tty sites can provide some valuable information for you. For example, if an ICO has unimpressive ratings on most trustworthy sites and, at the same time, has top ratings on sites like you've mentioned, it means they bribed the site which makes them even less trustworthy.

Also, you can look for an info on ICO rating sites here on bitcointalk. For example in this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2913032.0 or in similar threads.

What is definitely a wrong thing to do is ignoring ICO rating sites while researching on an ICO.

They really are biased. Icos pay to get listed on them so it makes sense that the higher pay gets better ratings . Lack of content in most icos is not considered with their fake experts with fake linkedin profiles. Its amazing how every body wants to make a quick buck in crypto.

ico rating is not the only indicator. there are still many more valid indicators.
the ico rating indicator is now no longer pure. now everything can be bought with money. including ico rating.
the best indicator is yourself, by checking it manually lol.

use google, and maybe one of the results of the search will lead to ico rating. but there are many other factors that you can find on google, like one of the background project dev teams.

many things you can find on google if you can maximize its function, just like detective lol

Sometimes I don't trust those sites because they are also paid for giving ratings to ICOs which most people need for finding ICOs. I think it's always better to do your own research than relying on websites since you have the fist hand information you already need for identifying the ICO you investing on.

Any place in the ranking can be bought. So why should we believe in ICO ratings. We use them to avoid responsibility.

They're ok to get a rough idea on a project, obviously need to do a lot more research than that though, pretty much everything is bias at the end of the day.

at first I was very trust with ICO review sites, like icoranker, icobench, etc. but it turns out that even though the ico is 5-star, in the end the ico program was not successful or did not reach the softcap, and in the end I found out that the site reviews were paid, so that's why they gave good reviews

For each time I am taking consideration of the many sources and check the info. I have couple of sources in which I still believe. But I am doing my own research, because in crypto are a lot of speculate and they don't care of me or you. They a got paid for make a hype or to talk good thinks about ico or to add fake metrics

I think it is a good indicator that is worth a try but I won’t rely too much on it when deciding whether or not to invest in an ICO project. Instead, I will do my own research.

Never trust what anyone else says to me about a coin, when you realize the power of money and the fact that everyone has a price that is when you start to learn to do things yourself instead of listening to what other people have to say and investing your money accordingly.

I have never believed in the ICO rating site. because everything they share is a lie. we better do a personal analysis. so that the results obtained are in accordance with the facts.

I personally do not trust ICO rating sites because it has been proven from months that that rates are useless by watching projects with high star ratings that now are died

Yes i do trust them because for me they are the professionals when it come to giving opinion to a certain iCO as well whether you will know if it a good one or not but most likely i do always prefer to use this as well

I always prefer doing my own analysis. ICO review sites are nothing but paid. They will rate an ICO good, only if they get paid. Otherwise, an ICO with good idea and development can ever not be able to get a good review. ICO rating sites are not biased and trustable.

Yes, I believe in ICO rating. But it will depends on the campaign that you will choose to invest.  I think ratings are still useful to some extent, but information from ICO ratings alone is not enough to make a final decision on investing.

The best way to trust an ICO is to conduct a personal research project. Currently, ICO rating sites are paid for. Because I do not risk trusting them

I do not trust ICO Rating sites by reason. Why ICOS Rating sites rated the site very high, but there are still a lot of scams and busted ICOS campaigns as well as bounty hunters like us. Trust ICO Rating sites really do not have as much meaning as before.

I really do not trust the ICO Rating sites, why? Because they do not have any specialists to judge that, absolutely the reviews are self-imposed and no one is able to explain why.
