Myriadcoin 0.8.99.8 - Required updateThis version implements a security improvement in Myriadcoin and is a required update. The change will come into effect starting at block 142000 (about 6 days from now). Please update your daemons and wallets as soon as possible. Technical descriptionPreviously the work a block contributed to the blockchain was determined by the difficulty of the algorithm used to solve the block. This gave higher difficulty algorithms (like SHA) an advantage over lower difficulty algorithms in certain cases. This change implements algorithm weightings to normalise the work a block contributes to the block-chain across all the algorithms. The weightings for each algorithm is based on the work required to calculate a specific hash algorithm. Special thanks for Gatra for his input. MYR is one of the hottest traded coins on Poloniex which has really made me quite intrigued. I guess innovation does play a part in the adoption of a coin. I really love the logo design too.

Thanks for your hard work! Myriad is my #1 altcoin pick for 2014! If Myriad needs a testnest, I might be able to contribute 10-15 nodes - PM me.

I updated my Linux myriadcoin-qt using the github link and it was pretty easy. In the process of upgrading my myriadcoind for the Linux stratum server. I haven't mined any blocks yet, I'll try again. Diff is over a Million on sha-256 and 405GH/s couldn't do it in 3 hours try. On a speculation note; I think I should have bought more Myriad coins. With the latest TAX implications on bitcoins and more popular Cryptocurrencies; I believe the "smart" (Wallstreet-type investors) money are looking to other Cryptocurrencies for store of value. There's too much money invested in Bitcoin and I think there are concerns whether it's wise due to a lot of risks (i.e. MtGox, inability to handle the amount of transactions - think Overstock multiplied a thousand times by different retailers, both online and offline, etc.) I noticed some of the altcoins I hold are starting to creep up in value, but these are ones with solid development team and stable ideas. Myriad coin is one with a very good development team and very innovative ideas. TL;DR... I like Myriad coin

I made an mistake yesterday. Was gonna transfer 50k Myr from one adress to another. But i mistakenly copied an Mazacoin adress (poloniex account). Usually the clients will complain that the account isnt valid, but for some reason it accepted it without issues! heres the transaction: http://myr.theblockexplorer.com:2750/address/MPBwccKVcaRpDpN59njzKVWLCSRr6XpsD2So basiclly the transaction didnt get rejected. My wallet is empty... this sucks! Guess those coins are lost forever? or is it possible to use the Mazacoin wallet on an myriad client? (however that depends on poloniex since its their system) The same mistake, but I was experimental, at present, MAZACOIN wallet can be copied to the MYR and use the MYR client, you can also get a MAZA and the same address, I'm updating client, see time deposits can be received in the MYR client, of course it's all depends on the POLONIEX, because the wallet file in them there. And complain about, POLONIEX balances the interface is too crowded, I than you miserable, 260K MYR, is really a tragedy. Have to bump this and give poloniex some cred! As earlier i made a mistake and transfered 50k myr to the mazacoin wallet address by mistake. contacted poloniex which where helpfull getting it fixed. I now have gotten all those lost funds returned to me:) Thanks Poloniex! Wow, awesome! Poloniex gets an A+ from me. Not the sexiest looking trading site but damnit it does the job! Definitive an A+ from me to, really appriciated that they took the time to fix this on such an "small" amount. That beeing said, i think they really need to restructure their balancepage, cause im not the first one that has done this mistake. Its to messy and easy to copy/paste the wrong address when everything is in such an neutral grey look.

Special thanks for Gatra for his input.
Thank you for the update. Is it possible to normalize the weights to the most recent/highest difficulty algo instead of using fixed weights? Otherwise, we may have to adjust all the weights again and again later on to chase after changes in the relative difficulties between the algos.

Otherwise, we may have to adjust all the weights again and again later on to chase after changes in the relative difficulties between the algos. Since it's a profitability thing I think ratio oriented weights are good but I also see your point so a more elaborate update could be included when and if we decide to add remove or swith an algo.

All proceeds from the dice games will currently go towards Myriadcoin development. Play for a good cause! Addresses, rules, results and proof can be viewed here: http://cryptap.us/myr/dice/Since this is currently for charity, the 500 MYR bounty for flaws is rescinded. If you do find a flaw I will gladly refund any lost coins, PM me. Feedback is welcome. There is a new game on the dice page, a coinbomb game (also known as "hot potato"). Please let me know if there are any issues. And remember, all proceeds currently go to the Myriadcoin dev bounty fund. From the 3rd week of donated dice game proceeds: 2082.55995904 MYR donated to the Dev account ( MWShVDmRxWagXcrKHbBSDb2q7EsXxjApA4 ) , txid: 40fd6a4eca6119d551f774ef841ac0c701b93aea61488f1d28381961ff3a3a85 Keep playing, remember that currently all proceeds go to MYR development.

Hello guys, great News about the new Security Feature. I made some updates to the Community Bountyboard Today. http://just-wegi.de/myriadbounty/The Donation-Accounts are now linked to the blockexplorer, number of donations is shown, and you can sort for every criteria and use a search function. Next feature is referencing the people who curate the accounts and with it a way to add new bounties for everybody. ETA on the Feature is sometime next Weekend.
