If you guys could help me add to this list that would be great. We want to create an awesome algorithm monitoring hub to analyze the prominence of emerging hashing functions and their net hashrate dynamics. I'm trying to compile every coin that exists that isn't purely SHA256, Scrypt, Skein, Groestl, or Qubit. No PoS coins!
Updated List
Adaptive N: 10-5 Coin, Altcoin, CaiShen, Cataloniacoin, CherryCoin, EmuCoin, ExeCoin, Euphorian, GPU-Coin, H2OCoin, GenesisCoin, MinerTokens, PerfectCoint, Rhinohorn, RotoCoin, ThePandaCoin(PANDA), SpainCoin, SiliconValleyCoin, Vertcoin, WolongCoin

Please add to the list! I'll give each person 200 Myriad for each coin they can hunt down and add to the list. We want to include every coin, even the coin with just 1 miner on it (if it exists).

Guys,
We're sorry to announce that we are closing our skein pool. It seems that there is an exploit in the stratum that allows hashrates/shares to be falsified.
We applied the latest fixes to to our stratums but still the issue persists. If someone *cough* Ahmed *Cough* manages to find a working stratum then we will gladly re-open.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Regards
Nut
This might explain why I received only 400 coins yesterday?

I know it's hard to get used to but with Myriad you gotta let us know what algorithm the pool is for.

Why is nobody mining on skein? Skein is almost always more profitable when compared to other algos. It seems that people like groestl/qubit algo more than skein for GPUs. I am not considering Scrypt since ASICs are out already for Scrypt.
Someone on reddit had the idea to make a profit switching pool to different algo...I think that will make all algos equally profitable.
Is there any update on swapping one of the algos with a new one?....I know Neuromode is collecting the huge data.....
I hope only those algos are selected which are good to GPUs...I mean low wattage and low temps....

Might be because theres an bug in the stratum that make people able to send false shares, making skein pool miners have to share their earnings with people that do no actuall submitt valid work on the pool. Hopefully someone will find a way to patch that hole soon. Until then i actually would recommend pools to have their head low and not attract to much hashrate. Since that will lure in the cheaters to.

So I too shifted to groestl 2 days ago...I thought because the pool is not so lucky and to find every bolck we were submitting like 300-400% shares....I got twice the amount on groestl actually in one day than on Skein. So, its the problem with pools...

How can we know that a particular pool is compromised before the pool itself announced?
We can't. We just need to trust the pool operators to monitor their pools and deal with these users appropriately. Only when a pool is compromised is it possible to investigate and work out a fix. I'm keeping a close eye on my pool.

We can't. We just need to trust the pool operators to monitor their pools and deal with these users appropriately. Only when a pool is compromised is it possible to investigate and work out a fix. I'm keeping a close eye on my pool. The issue is the pools ops cant see it either. The shares come in, stratum accepts them, they get counted for the rewards. It's only after a while when you see that userx hasn't found a block after x time that you can SUSPECT that they are cheating. If we banned every user that had an unlucky spell though you'd all get banned sooner or later. At some stage i will get the issue fixed but i don't have the time right now so rather than let people steal from legitimate miners, we decided to shut the pool rather than let the thieves prosper. Hope you understand. Regards Nut
