I run 2 x R9 290s on groestl at 15Mh/s each, the system uses 344 watts.

It will be nice if people add config also when posting how mutch Mh/z they get with cards what is in use.
Mine 2 x Asus HD 7970 DC II TOP get 21 Mh/z groestl with this settings:
Code:
./sgminer -k myriadcoin-groestl -o stratum+tcp://mypool.com:1010 -u worker -p xxXXxx -I 20,20 -g 1,1 -w 64,64 --gpu-fan auto --gpu-powertune 0 --gpu-fan auto,auto --temp-cutoff 85 --gpu-engine 1000,1000 --gpu-memclock 300,300 --thread-concurrency 22400,22400 --lookup-gap 2
g 4 i 21 engine 1200(1150 to be safe) enjoy extra mh

Thanx, but when I change g 1 to g 4 and i 20 to i 21 it lower my Mh/z from 21 -> ~17Mh/z? GPU I like to keep default, because heat. I have now 68 and 76c and thats ok to me.

Hey guys,

If you have the time I wrote a brief outline proposing what Myriad's "niche" in cryptocurrency is.

Feel free to give me feedback or editing errors. I wanted to keep it 1-2 pages so I might not add a ton more.

Thanks!

New Bounty: Twitter Tipping Bot for MyriadCoin
If you want to contribute to whoever takes on this project donate here: MTk3oCFV3CXixtdjufWjNFzw8D2jMkQ9H8

Let's build an internet MYR highway to Brazil

If Myriad is going to bring cryptocurrencies to the masses worldwide then a Twitter bot will be a valuable resource, more so than it would be for other coins less focused on internationalization.

Hopefully someone can get one up and running by the time work begins in Brazil so we can send MYR to any of the locals that might have an account. At the very least we can send Bryce some beer money. Smiley

Can anyone help me get a formula to calculate the amount of coins per day and MH/s based on difficulty for Scrypt, Groestl, Skein & Qubit please?

86,400 / (difficulty * 2^32 / hashrate) for SHA256D

Rest you can see at the blockchain here. http://myriad.theblockexplorer.com/

Ok, this formula works for SHA-256, Scrypt, Groestl & Skein.

But with Qubit it doesn't add up when I compare the figures with what pools predict for a daily outcome.

Can someone from the dev team confirm if the assumed equivalent hashrate for Qubit @ 1MH/s scrypt  is 7MH/s or 7.777MH/s in http://myriad.theblockexplorer.com/?

EDIT: oh, nevermind. apparently http://myr.nonce-pool.com/ has it wrong. It's 7MH/s

My new MyriadCoin faucet has officially been up for 24 hours now and the first payouts have been processed (yay!)

I know the payouts are meager right now, but as I am able to get / mine / buy more MYR, the payouts will go up a bit.

Cheers!

Im mining this with Scrypt getting about 0.004 BTC/day/MH.

Does anyone know what the difference would be if I were to switch to another mining algo?

There is a '(' in the first line of A) but no ')'.

A.d. has the word 'and' to many times.

I assume you have jumped from C to Z because "it's a long way down the road"?  The Z section doesn't line up with the A, B and C sections.

Z) ...'we should be contemplating R&D' or just 'we should contemplate R&D'.

"The only reason to artificially reduce the coin rewards 2 months in is to blatantly make yourself richer by reducing sell pressure. The honest way to make the coins you hold more valuable, if that is indeed the most pressing issue inside your morally object mind, is to actively contribute to the community. "

This is the core issue. The reason anyone would buy a coin is either to use it or to trade it for profit. How many people use Alt coins today for payment?
The coin's main financial purpose today is to be part of a game. The game we are all playing. To make money. The more this happens the more
likely Alt coins will be used for payment in time by the masses.

If you want to make a coin to use as an experimental base for new tech but not a coin of higher dollar value then you have done that with the existing reward structure. Please continue.
If you want to make a coin that does the above AND raises in value so more people learn about it by buying it and using it -- then change the reward.

See what is happening with "other" coins right now? The ones that protect investor value. They go up in value over time. As you said my response is a FU to miners
then your response is a big FU to investors and coin users. Brazil would be much more interested if the coin had it's value protected.

There is a happy medium.

Best of luck.

Your argument doesn't even make sense and you've seemed to miss the point.  I think the people who believe in Myriad are the same people that think cryptocurrencies can revolutionize the way things are done.  Innovation, development, time and effort are what investors AND miners should be looking for.

"The coin's main financial purpose today is to be part of a game."  Your mentality is the mentality of these other coins you talk about - out to make a quick buck.  No more than an innovation-less pump and dump scheme.  Then you go on to say that somehow that would be good for the long term health of Myriad?!  Why does a coin need to "protect value" if it's actually got things going for it?  The value is inherent to the coin - just like the blockchain protocol is the inherent value of bitcoin.  I see inherent value in Myriad that doesn't need to be protected.

"How many people use Alt coins today for payment?"  So because they don't now, we should give up on people ever doing it, and sell out to make a quick buck?  Just an amazingly self-serving way of looking at it.  Maybe the point is to start developing, contributing to the community and creating ways for people to use it.

Thanks for replying to this guy. We need to keep a bottle of roach killer in this thread to prevent infestations from ballooning.
Not only does this detract from legitimate discussion, it also might influence the way newcomers think about the coin. It absolutely cannot be allowed here.
