Optional. >=0.14.4.1 is still supported. The last fork, MIP3, has already been confirmed via 0.14.4 consensus and 0.16 has full support.

The yescrypt we have is now a fairly strong algo for somewhat recent Nvidia GPU's. AMD will require improved mining software to be competitive; we hope to encourage development of that. Presently, there's some agreement about bringing in Argon2d4096 (as in UIS and ARG) for CPU, and deactivating skein.

Myriadcoin has been using BIP9 mining consensus to determine when a fork will occur, therefor it is not possible to give you an exact block or date. This data can be helpful:

As long as you've upgraded to v0.16.4.0 or v0.14.5.0 you can safely follow the chain as it progresses to activation.

To be clear, skein will be deactivated and argon2d added. Sha256d, scrypt, myr-groestl, and yescrypt will remain.

Less active community respect to similar coins Digibyte and Qubitcoin but still alive. Multi-algorithm and merge-mine were great idea because keeps the coin alive.
Nothing good will happen unless we all work for it. There's no company behind Myriad. On the other hand, I think it's community coins that will really shine when they eventually do. To me 'company coin' kinda goes against Cryptocurrency principles. The best coins such as Bitcoin and Monero are community coins like us, and they took a long time to get off the ground too.

I think that Myriad is one of the best coins for beginners to get into. It's just so friendly and easy to mine, And pretty similar to Bitcoin. So what you learn here can be applied to the rest of the Crypto-system.

I'm happy to announce a new version of the Myriad Wallet for COINiD.

This version of the COINiD Wallet contains a whole lot of smaller fixes but also a new account information settings page that also allows for exporting slip132 public keys for use in other applications.

We are also hard at work at version 2 of the wallet which is turning out really nice.
