I think the name the community has settled on is polymyr.  I'll try and give a little tl;dr for the paper.

It's a multi algo merged mining auto exchange multipool, or, the first system of it's kind to combat multipool dumping.   The basic is idea is that a bunch of currencies merge with myriad's blockchain, so that mining myr gives you each currency all at once (across all of myr's algos too remember).  Then you pick which coins to hold, buy, and sell.  Each miner chooses this independently, and will effectively act as a load balancing system across all the merged currencies to prevent dumping from other multipools.

It's a fucking awesome idea

Thanks and agrees with yours opinions, those what our community needs to do, not follow the idea to shut down the supply of MYR.  Only 5 BTC per day makes the price steadily declines, this means investors includes community lose confident on MYR.  Now MYR has no serious problems. Why not buy cheap MYR right now? The main reason should be most of us are watching, waiting the lower price, pick it up or sell for short term profit.

I think that's a good point. There's currently no reason for an investor to invest anything into this coin.

However, this is a long term coin, meaning it has a high chance of succeeding wildly or failing in the long term. Most "investors" are only interested in making short term profit, and can do so quite easily with the latest pump and dump POS coins.

Will having those kinds of people onboard help? Maybe. Blackcoin's hype train was largely fueled by zealous speculators. But I really don't think a coin with such a high inflation rate and slow progress as MYR will attract those kinds of people.

I think zetacoin is a better model for the progress we'll follow (and should emulate).

I was with myriad from February and I think this coin will not die so easy. Keep the good spirit and hope for good. After all this is crypto and anything can happen:) so relax and please don't argue abut the price. This is it.. if you can't manage the price you are in the wrong place . You guys all wanna just earn money but if we all win who will be the looser's ? Who will put money in this coin and take your share? So if I understand it right, it would be better if Sha/scrypt algo's diff would rise much faster compared to GPU/CPU algos. So it would fix the problem we have now. ASICs would get much less coins in the same period of time.
In other hand, if ASICs will leave (because of no profit),  what will happen to our blockchain? It would decrease quantity of miners drastically... But the price should rise and inflation effect should be much smaller...

The fact that the sites are not considered to be profit-making parameters Asik's the reason really.

I expected 10x profit and now I'm officially at 10x loss. Biggest flop in my crypto investments. Without a doubt.
I remember that huge expectations in Feb/March, many of more experienced traders was writing about Myriad as a next Vertcoin, it was sure thing. Things turn out differently and after 4 months we have nearly a dead coin.
Our only hope for dumping coins with profit is in the next bitcoin bubble, some crazy altcoin pump like in November '13,  because right now we're going down, going down hard to 15-20 sat, and I'm afraid that we might be delisted from Mintpal in couple weeks.
