Thanks Ahmed - Electrum wallets are going great again - Cheers

So how do we get the electrum wallet connecting again?

ahmed on irc this morning:

Quote
[07:47:59] <ahmed_> it might be that the electrum servers haven't been updated
[07:48:17] <ahmed_> ill setup a new electrum server after I've finished installing ubuntu-server on my home pc

In the meantime, if you have coins trapped in electrum that you want to get out, you can go to console in electrum and use "dumpprivkey()" command, and then "importprivkey privateKeyHere" command in qt console.

I'm running the latest version, but I've had a transaction to an exchange stuck with zero confirmations for the better part of 24 hours now.  Also, while a mining pool says it's sent me payments, they've not arrived.  Is something still not right with the network?

You might need to reindex the blockchain to get back on the right fork, which you can do by starting the wallet with " -reindex" option.

Yes I had same with the QT wallet version 7 - "-reindex" and delete peers fixed it

Trading resumed on Poloniex. Hopefully there's no incoming 70M coin dump  Roll Eyes
block 740000 to 766000,total 26M coins,
the leakage is groestl algo, total generate about 22M coins,
the myr-goestl miningpoolhub pool got 10M coins
so the attacker got 12M coins,
when i noticed the attack,i dump ,and drive the price below 30 sat,
if the attacker dump,he will get 3 BTC.
i hop he dump and not hold anymore.
if he never dump,i will never drive the pirce up.
i also have 20M more to dump, and have enough rigs to mine most coins, and control the price.

How will you know when he have dumped? He could just sell it bit by bit...

Enuogh rigs to mine most of MYR? 20M to dump and control the price? you sound scary and not healthy for Myriadcoin at all...

I was thinking the same thing as rentodev. ltcmax sounds like a cancer to alts. Big holders are like big corporations, they are bad for everyone. Little man syndrome is a bitch Cry

On a different note: Anybody made any progress with MYR withdraws from mintpal? They sent all my coins back except MYR.

Giving this a shot now...we'll see what happens when it's done.

do you understand altcoins?
do you remember MYR 600 sat?
many people, include me,lost money on MYR,
to keep the coin alive, must keep the  the network running, and keep the netdiff not too low,and pay for the miners, did you pay?
not everyone keep all coins, each coin have big holders.
they keep buying and keep the price not too low,
if not,miners gone,dev gone,coin dead.
the mintpal stolen  millions of MYR, the attacker inst-mine millions of MYR,should we drive up the price ,pay for the criminals?
no. never compromise,i can burn even 10BTC but never pay 0.001BTC for the criminals.
what do you want?what will you do?

Never buy any ICO altcoin.
Never buy any ASIC altcoin.

Yes, reputation more than money.
But there are different methods ...
not necessarily punish all honest miners
because of a couple of some crooks.
For example, can increase the award for the block ...
For dgb is about 7000 and no one has died from it yet))

Someone used a timewarp attack on the groestl algo to mine several thousand blocks in a rather short time period. There was two hard forks over the course of three or seven days to mitigate the issue, and they seem to have worked, but the attacker was able to get somewhere between 5-50M myr before mitigation, probably more on the low side, I think someone calculated 7M, but I've seen several numbers thrown about. (Afaik, don't treat it as gospel.)

Did that, and now the coins received from the pool have shown up.  Coins sent to Cryptsy for trading haven't shown up there; a support ticket has been opened.  They might need to do the same.

I think if you sent them while you were on the wrong fork you might be SOL. I'm not 100% sure, maybe you can export and then import your private keys and get them back by reindexing again, but I kinda think if you sent them on the wrong fork they might be gone. Can someone else chime in, Foodies or 8bitcoder mebbe?

Only coins mined in wrong fork can be gone.
If you send  good coins in bad fork transaction should be resend from wallet just after rescan.
If not, they should reappear in wallet.

@ltcmax: When you threaten to purposely dump a coin down to x sats you become part of the problem. You can't talk you way out of a statement like that...period. If you misspoke then issue a correction. And yes I do remember 600sats, the bag I hold is worth pennies on the dollar but you dont hear me threatening anything.

@usakan: Blindly following others is a fools game and how you get screwed in the end but nice try...maybe max will send you a few million for "having his back".
