Hahaha, very funny pics.

These good enough for a logo? i dont know...

A bounty for a logo design is a good idea, maybe get a little promotion from it also.

Do you think a change would be good? That's another thing i'm not entirely sure. We wanna market as the "same" coin, the ticker will have to be changed ofc but for exchange reasons, not sure about logo.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I think the current logo is fine. Pretty representative of what the coin is.

Are you planning on changing anything else?

current logo is better although I'd donate to a bounty if you want to crowdsource one.

PIGGY ticker is better than OINK ...

NEM   NanoWallet   SuperNodes   Apostille   Landstead   Catapult   Mijin

Seems like the logo is staying then. I'm really not sure about the ticker, everyone on twitter seemed to like OINK more. 2 weeks to decide nevertheless.

What do you guys think about a new logo? Should we keep this one or change it?
A buddy of mine made this ones for us Smiley

I think current one is more professional. New logos are funny but less attractive.

Just taking a really close look at the block explorer...

Found some huge payouts from single blocks?

Take a look... Can you explain? The coins look like they have never moved out of there wallets. Total coins so far is around 231,000,000.

The coinbase transactions in each of those blocks, i.e. the newly generated coins, are correct at 4000.

The large values out have equally large values in, and are normal. The total value out is shown in the block explorer, but the total value in isn't. If you look in more detail at the individual transactions you can see it's just small amounts of PIG being sent from an address with a lot of funds; and the client sends the remainder to another fresh address.

This is normal, this is probably the premine address me (21M), sending some giveaways or something like that. Imagine I send 1000 PIG, 21M appear there and then 21-1k are returned to me.

Original code (before we changed to reducing block rewards and then to 0 block rewards at block 62500 more recently):

Code:
  {
      int64 nSubsidy = 4000 * COIN;

        if ( nHeight == 2 )

         {
          nSubsidy = 21000000 * COIN;
         }

     return nSubsidy + nFees;
  }

EDIT: Seems like notsoshifty was quicker Smiley

Ok, that's the *new* cap that comes into being when the new wallet launches. I think I get it now, so the ambiguity in the Specification section makes sense now. Looking forward to the new features like POS. I've noticed that this is implemented seemingly very differently for different coins. Some (eg DEM) although not tested yet, only release a stake yearly; others like CGB function very well and reliably each month. What are the plans for Piggycoin in the stake frequency, and is it distributed directly proportional to wallet size?

I think CAIX is the template for piggy. I think stake will be paid daily after coins start staking.

Piggy is jumping on a whole new blockchain, so the implementation shouldn't be a prob if the fork goes to plan.

The specifications are not updated since we are still working in this "old" blockchain. I will create a new thread when the new blockchain is launched (+-13 days from now).

The Specifications for the PoS will be:

-15% annual interest
-Min Coin Age = 8 hours
-Max Coin Age = Unlimited

This means you need to have some piggycoins in your wallet, after them being 8 hours there they will start to "mint" and you will start to receive transactions (your interest), this interest will equal to 15% of your coins/year.

EDIT: A good FAQ on this is the blackcoin one: http://www.blackcoin.co/faq/
We will have one for piggy posted in our website.
