well it appears hitbtc may have been hacked as well. withdrawals are disabled.
i like the idea of a ZEIT/XMR market on poloniex. always good to have goals other than just a higher market cap imo.

Question 2: Are we fated in that just as we get to the top of a coin vote poll, the exchange closes down!? We were at least 8th out of 256 and rising faster than all the other coins on BTER.
Best Reason in the world to be on Multiple Exchanges, as you never know when one will implode. Also a reason to limit the amount of coins on an exchange to only a small amount at any given time. Strange how the exchanges with alot of chinese exposure are getting zapped at the moment , crypto-trade and now bter both offline. No Matter, ZEIT marches on , For all that have a Bleutrade account , please submit a support ticket asking them to add zeitcoin. For all going into Zeit voting withdrawal , No Worries, https://hitbtc.com/voteFree Voting, don't even need to sign in, they just limit 1 vote per ip address. I would add C-cex to the list of the exchanges people may vote. https://c-cex.com/?id=voteI voted right after my suggestion of adding ZEIT to the list of the coins to vote was accepted, and for now we have altogether 2 votes (Vavarin?). Anyway, we need like 200+ votes and I believe we will be able to collect them. The more exchanges the coin is available, the bigger the community and harder that problems of one exchange may corner the coin - see Cryptsy, BTER, any other exchange.

Just saw the news about BTER. Seems I took a hit. I hope not too many others were affected. We were warned. Here's the latest on what BTER have to say on their website :- Question 1: If it's a cold wallet, how can the coins be stolen?
Question 2: Are we fated in that just as we get to the top of a coin vote poll, the exchange closes down!? We were at least 8th out of 256 and rising faster than all the other coins on BTER.Q1: Inside job. If you have the private key everything is possible. Cold storage isn't a solution. Thief can import the key --> the wallet is hot. Different scenario: Bruteforcing with vanitygen, high calculation power and a lot of luck. (watch my signature - It took ~10 Minutes with an old AMD card.) There are some webpages with thousands of random-generated keypairs - If a key matches with an existing key (let's say the thief is monitoring all accounts >1000 BTC against his database) he would be the winner. And the next question could be: Is "thief" the right term then? (I don't know how key generation in Bitcoin core works, but if it works with a system time randomizer, you could try to generate addresses with a manipulated system time. But that's only a thought.) A "good" key generation could be: Mouse moving + personal message + systime + actual CPU temperature + ID of the third process in your taskmanager + hash of the current block. Had too much beer today. Cheers, Ray

A big 'UP' for all the Knights who were able to join last nights' teamspeak session. I feel that every time we meet up, we strengthen the understanding between us, and thus make the team more able to meet the challenges we will face in making Zeitcoin the worlds' favourite currency. For sure, there will be another one next weekend - same time unless there is a consensus for a change. Reminder for the rest - You only have 12 days to claim one of the 5 available seats at the high table - after that you face a long wait.

Cheers, Ray You're alright. Everyone deserves a drink every now and then. In fact have another. I have a question to ask you. Say a large number of Bitcoins went missing at a big exchange and you had the blockchain info, how would you 'chase it back' so that the person responsible would be identified and the coins recovered? Let's pluck a random figure out of the air ... completely out of the blue ... say 7170 BTC for instance ... and the blockchain info was ... hmmmm, let me think ... let's say:- https://blockchain.info/tx/f5b0363f03e1ed8bb812c135361ea93590c831ce9f13a3750be1b93575baccc6Purely hypothetical of course, but how would you do it? Now take your time ... nice and slow, while I take notes ...

I haven't had any issues with c-cex so far, thus I cannot report on that. But my experience up to date with trading there was rather ok. They do not have big volumes, I think I only saw once a coin reaching more than 500 BTC of volume (and it could have been fabricated), but a solid double digit BTC volume, yes. It is a small to medium size exchange, and as every such of that kind (Comkort, Yobit.net) it is making its living by accepting new coins faster than the bigger exchanges would do, hoping to get some profit from that. And some of these coins may have caused issues for sure. but still I think it would be good to have ZEIT there.

I've sent a request and been warned many many times about not talking too much about coins not listed there. Tho should have asked Ray to ask them.

Geez, that is a little orwellian. Edit: Their Loss if they chose to exclude zeitcoins.

I think they will include Zeitcoin if it has any kind of worth. I wouldn't take it too. Why Look at cryptsy and comkort, just two exchanges and just a very very small trade. Please ask yourself why they should take it. Just why you believe in Zeit? As said long time ago, get more realistic. That's the main cause for me not being a "Knight"! It's to far away from reality for me

Please ask yourself why they should take it. Just why you believe in Zeit? As said long time ago, get more realistic. That's the main cause for me not being a "Knight"! It's to far away from reality for me I can give you my reasons, 1st I believe in myself and Ray and Lion and the new Knights and the zeit community. Zeitcoin being at $1 is far from unrealistic , when you consider bitcoin over $200 and litecoin near $2. You have put circuit breakers on your own imagination and that limits what you can achieve in reality. I was always told growing up, that you can do anything that you set your mind too. For example, a Circus trains baby elephants by placing a chain around their leg that they can't break when young, but when full grown are more than strong enough to break. But yet due to thinking they can't for so long , they never try when they are more than able to snap it. Saw people in college do the same thing, they let 1 class , that they just thought was too hard for them make them fail, but they did not see it through to the end , they always quit before nearing the end , because they thought they would fail , they quit making the attempt. Mitras break those chains you have placed in your own mind, realize your true abilities and combined with the Zeit Knights and Zeit Community our success is certain. Zeit Knights : failure is not an option , We keep at it til we succeed.

thats true what you say. But think in a financial way if you speak about exchanges. They have to earn money. What can they earn right now? We can't support two exchanges!
Learn to walk before starting a marathon. Don't try to get to the big exchanges as long as Zeit is unknown as it is. Grow, become more public and than the exchanges will come to Zeit. 2-3 btc trade volume / day and than its getting interesting for the exchanges. I'm absolutely not against Zeitcoin indeed I realy hope that your dreams will come true.

Thinking in financial terms is what I do. The more exchanges we are on , the fewer zeitcoins per sell walls per exchange. If it was beneficial to the community, within the next week , we could bounce our market cap near 1 million , and that is only being on 3 exchanges. But that would not help anyone new trying to be a zeitknight, just make it harder for them, so until the rest of the new knights arrive, will hold off on that. Our trading volume will skyrocket after we get in the millions for market cap. But we also have to get our virtual to real world economy going, that is what will make more of a difference than anything else and will sustain our market caps throughout the future.
