Mint peaked at 40 sats without a real dev and historically Zeit is about 50% of Mint price. I'm thinking someone will pump Zeit to 20 sats within the next 30-45 days and it'll go back down and stays around 10 sats  Cheesy

Possible theory for the mint pump.
Shapeshift.io buying up enough mint to have an inventory to sell,
Drives the price of mint higher and since they sell at a higher rate than the markets instant profit.
Their only risk is if their is a large mint dumper, but if not a huge financial win for them.

 Cool

FYI:
Shapeshift raised $525,000 in Venture Capital in March.

http://www.jubi.com/ another possible chinese exchange for zeit currently doing massive volume ($200k today on VTC).
what is actually the status of BTER? ZEIT is 30 points shy of first place which is great! But how often do they add coins?

Zeitcoin is now top of the BTER voting list. That's numero uno. Top of the pile. In first place out of 277 coins with 32,873 votes and counting ...

Well done to all who voted and those that are still voting!

Looking for an explanation on BTER admission policy, I found this old topic and posted my question there: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=502363.1620.
Let's see how long does it take before they add ZEIT.

Of course it's possible. I've a pretty good handle on ZeitCoin inflation rate during that time, but how many trillions of dollars will be produced? No clue.

@ lxxtikk
Anything is possible, but I think it's best not to think in those terms. If the price were to stay the same, minting more Zeitcoins is not that difficult. That's the only growth I personally rely on. Anything else is a bonus.

I like your optimism ... but I think we need some Chinese help!

while your wallet was open (and unlocked) with mature coins the wallet automines, which is called minting or staking.  in doing so your node is processing transactions, supporting the network; for this service you are given a reward aka stake, to the tune of 20% (of your mature balance) per year, this year.  Wink

Color is grey while minting.
If your client is locked it switches to green when new blocks are ready for minting.
(means: Hey guy, please unlock your wallet - some blocks are matured for minting)

If your client is fully synced - why not.
If your client is not fully synced it may cause lots of orphan transactions.

To put it in a nutshell:

If the green leaf lights up it means that you have mature blocks which are ready to mint Zeitcoins.

Wait for your wallet to fully sync - important (good advice for all POS coins).

When your wallet is fully synced, open it and eventually your mature blocks will mint.

When all the mature blocks have minted, the leaf will turn grey.
