Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin

Personally, I am confident in the huge development potential of Ethereum in the future, I also regularly invest part of the money in its purchase. But at the same time, I do not think that Ethereum will be able to surpass the successful positions of BTC in the future. After all, Bitcoin will continue to be a real king in the modern crypto market.

Ethereum and bitcoin are two different coins with different uses, so overtaking one another is actually illogical. Probably in terms of value but as of the moment bitcoin is way too ahead of ethereum so it might take years before ethereum can keep up. In terms of ICOs, ethereum is the king but right now ICOs are being overrated.

   How to overtake it? By the price, usage, popularity? They are different, Bitcoin is digital money on the internet, it`s a way to transfer value from one place to
another with very low fees. Ethereum is smart contract platform. In that light I believe both of them have a future.
   Bitcoin and Ethereum have a lot of competitors. Some other crypto-currencies offer the same things, improved they claim, but each of them is fighting for

Hahahahahaha, this is one of the most funny post I have come across over here. You must be dreaming thinking Ethereum will come from no where to overcome Bitcoin all of a sudden.  Bitcoin still remain the number#1 in the Marketplace and will forever be in that position till otherwise. Do Ethereum have the capacity to overcome Bitcoin Now? I do not think so with part of the reasons that the fall of Bitcoin still in one way or the other affects the value of Ethereum and any other altcoins in the marketplace.

My opinion is that Ethereum is a very good altcoin but nothing more. Bitcoin has always been the flagship in the cryptocurrency market and it will remain the leader. I understand that I'm saying trivial things but he dominates by more than 50 percent.

Bitcoin still has over 50% of the whole marketcap right now so I don't think this will happen too much soon. I do think though the price of ETH still stabilise as Constantinople upgrades take effect, plus the block size is being reduced from three eth to two eth, will make it more of a rarity, inflation wise. I do believe that ETHEREUM is a force to be reckoned with but am not so sure if it will be taking over the Bitcoin market cap any time soon. I do think though that for now it does deserve second place for the kind of innovations that ethereum has brought to cryptocurrency and the blockchain space in general. I think many Ethereum followers do believe it will over take Bitcoin but I am more cautious to this assumption.

It is not realistic to happen in the next 3 years for ETH to overtake BTC. In the future everything is possible and when ETH solves all the issues it has, and becomes the most reliable platform (fast, secure, efficient) I would not exclude that possibility.

ethereum does have the potential to defeat bitcoin because ethereum has a lot of "weapons" that support it but I don't think it will be easy because bitcoin is a powerful coin that is very popular and therefore ethereum has to wait long until true bitcoin has been abandoned by bitcoin enthusiasts because otherwise then when ethereum rises bitcoin has risen first even the increase tends to be much higher than that experienced by ethereum

if eth wants to overtake bitcoin, it needs at least more than 55,000 market circulation. and that takes a long time. and if eth market circulation is more than 55,000, then eth prices will rise.

I also think like that, seeing Ethereum's condition which is currently still low. Whichever Altcoin in my opinion can't overtake Bitcoin, even though it's a great coin, because Bitcoin is the king of coins, it's the first coin issued and known to many people. The movement of Ethereum was very slow from last year until now it never rises high.

I think that is over ambitious, I never doubt that Ethereum has a huge potentials and indeed would be even a bigger coin in the future, but hoping Ethereum would overtake or thinking that'd happen is something which I think is currently out of sight. For the foreseeable future i don't even think there's a slightest chance of that happening because Bitcoin isn't slowing down in terms of its market capitalization or dominance over all altcoins, Ethereum however has lost its 2nd spot on few occasions to ripple.
