Let's make the buy wall at 3650 the floor! If you believe in EXE, then throw even a .1BTC buy order up at 3650. A few BTC stacked close on the buy side is what this coin needs to keep the network power up and this coin strong.
I've been watching the big order (15,000+ EXE ~ .5 BTC) @ 3500 satoshi since yesterday to see if it would grow or move. It's stayed at about the same price and size. I think it helped support the EXE price when it broke down through 4000 satoshi yesterday. Right now there are eight 1000-5000 EXE orders just above the big one. Maybe some of these are altcoin mining profits intended to be coverted to EXE but they also add to the wall being so close to it. I've just put in a bid for 3000 EXE @ 3500, to increase the bid there to 18,417 (0.645 BTC), having sold my NXT position to raise some BTC. I don't necessarily want to sell those BTC right now (for the sake of diversification), but I'm willing to risk them on the bid wall. I'm continuing to mine profitable altcoins and buying EXE with the BTC proceeds, usually in the gap between the ask and bid price on Cryptsy. I was mining FLT but after only a day the price dropped too much, so I looked for others. I tried to join manicminer.in (as recommended by reddit user /u/winterm) but my cgminer didn't work with them as they warned. I tried switching to bfgminer but couldn't get it working so I started looking elsewhere. I found a nice multi-coin pool hash-to-coins.com. It's small but it's been working well so far with cgminer. This pool tracks the most profitable coins and allows you to switch between them (or split your workers between several) with a few mouse clicks. I've been mining FLAP for a day, although right now transactions are frozen due to a hard fork. The operator of hash-to-coins.com is right on top of it. For the first time I've tried withdrawing my coins directly to an exchange (Poloniex in this case). I thought this was not recommended but it's working fine for me and saves the trouble of going through my wallet, or even needing a wallet.

Here is the Cryptsy EXE bid wall as of about an hour ago, using data from the Cryptsy order book http://pubapi.cryptsy.com/api.php?method=singleorderdata&marketid=183: https://i.imgur.com/dv86UyK.pngNotice the nice wall being constructed at 3500 satoshi, with help from a step at 3650. The wall is about 40,000 EXE in height (1.4 BTC). My guess at the minimum height of a rock-solid wall capable of withstanding a modest assault would be at least 1% of the coin supply (5877450 EXE * 0.01 = 58,775 EXE or 2.06 BTC). A bomb-proof wall capable of withstanding a tsunami-scale attack would probably require 10% or 20 BTC. If we can get to 2 BTC, that would be a good start, and we're most of the way there already. If we are successful with this campaign, the next question would be when and how much to move the wall. We could have an ongoing discussion and move the wall by consensus, or we could have a guideline that requires no further discussion. For example: "When the bid wall reaches X percent of the outstanding coin supply, advance the wall 100 satoshi. If the wall falls to X/2 due to an attack, retreat 100 satoshi." This formula automatically accounts for the steadily increasing coin supply, and requires no ongoing discussion unless the formula needs to be changed. If the chosen height X proves to be too small, we can double it.

If someone wants to buy a large chunk of EXECoin from me, say at 4200sat, I will put all the BTC back up as a buy order. PM me if interested. Plus, there's no way to buy this much EXECoin at market unless you want to pay crazy prices.

Hi, execoin devs and execoin community~ Any news from china Bter exchange the EXECOIN BE list in Exchange trade?
Did not see any progress, include Bter,AMA... EXE doesn't need another exchange right now - we need more buy volume on cryptsy to ensure a solid marketcap floor. EXE's biggest potential advantage is the falling profits in scrypt mining by GPUs. To take advantage, we need to create a solid price floor so that miners feel comfortable not just leaving their rigs on EXE, but also comfortable holding the coin knowing that the price is likely to increase. I think it should be this community's goal to create enough price stability that EXE can surpass VTC in network hashrate.

We're thinking to reduce the reward, details will be provided soon! Also, we're thinking to add some more technologies to EXE that will increase its value.
I've been mining Execoin with five R9 270X cards (about 1050KH/s) almost since it hit Coinwarz. I've accumulated a decent amount of coins and would stand to gain considerably if the coins suddenly became "more rare", but I strongly feel reducing the mining reward will backfire. So much in fact, that I signed up here just so I could post this reply. More than anything else, a crypto coin needs hashrate to survive. Sure, I'm thrilled to see 300+ Execoins being mined by my rig each day at the current difficulty, but the low difficulty is also a bad sign that this coin is losing its appeal to miners. Reducing the reward will only further deter miners from choosing to point their rigs at Execoin. What is really needed to reduce the overall number of coins being dumped at exchanges is more miners who are willing to hold their coins. I have no idea how you'd make that happen, but that's the medicine Execoin needs.

We will see what happens when the big scrypt asic hit the streets. I'm glad I started mining this coin 1 hour after launch! Just holding for now

That's easy to promote YC with millions premined! YC could be good for quick profit but exe is long term I guess, I hope in fact! Only the coming of asics can increase the popularity of exe and it's not yet the right time..

Just holding for now Doing exactly the same, would be stupid and rather silly to dump my coins at this stage. Price is too low to make any real return worth it on the mining. definitely keeping this one long term.

Well, the bid wall at 3500 just fell after the step at 3650 fell a few hours ago. Yesterday I added 3000 EXE to the large bid of 15,417 sitting at 3500 by itself for a day to bring the total up to 18,417. A full day later, not one other person had added to the bid wall at that price. A few minutes ago the large bid was pulled, leaving my 3000 EXE exposed. After 800 of my EXE quickly sold, I pulled back the remainder. The bid now stands at 3444.
I think it's safe to say this campaign has failed. I'm moving on.

I did donate some to the Execoin dev fund though

I was just reminded of this Scrypt-N trait from reading the execoin.net website:
Lower power usage compared to normal scrypt algorithm
I've confirmed this by watching the amp meters on the PDUs my miners are attached to. With the cost of electricity and warmer months coming up, this could help a lot!

I love this coin, but best to mine is now KimoCoin and Im leaving thisone and start mining KMC. There is now such a great block reward!
Lately I've been mining other coins, selling them to BTC and using that to buy EXE on the exchanges.
