I think Spartan should consider a new announcement thread when the android client gets released to spur publicity.
This could be a good idea and simply put a link into the new page? Could title it to suit the new developments too. Perhaps encompass the innovation involved too! would draw alot of interest. |

In case anyone missed it, SPN has been re-listed on C-cex. Can't believe it  SPN is on c-cex again. It is really a good news. It should be the outcome after the dev talked to c-cex, I suppose. Anyway good job dev, and also thanks for the new Android wallet. |

great, holding it again Interesting news on c-cex. I never spoke with them in regards to re-listing. I asked when spartancoin gains traction after tools are out if it were possible to get relisted. They never replied. As for android app, I will be messaging my android guy today so I can get it up on google play. I will update the link later today with the beta (fixed qr code) for everyone. Also hope to have the next page updates for the spartanglory site. Keep everyone excited. Also a couple fellow spartans are sportan some spartanglory singlets running around australia. I will do some small updates later, I have been mia for a few days, ran the Spartan Beast in Killington, VT this weekend. Should have some photos too with spartanglory shirts. I will be checking out the Spartan.com site soon to see photos. Also in November the race is going to be aired on NBC sports so I will be loking there as well. Not a direct promo opportunity but I will be looking for videos on the web to start tagging Spartancoin and Spartanglory to. |

I would assume that after the wallets are all finished that we're going to be looking at a business type-front here soon? Being able to spend SPN will go a long way to boosting its value.

They never replied. Oh, ok, then maybe it had to do with the ticket I had opened. They took a few days to respond, initially saying that they had announced that it was going to be delisted and everything. But I guess they listened when I explained to them how you had been in contact with them, and that they had taken it off the delisting list about 4 days prior to delisting it. Anyway, it was a great victory for SPN. I don't think I've ever seen a coin re-listed anywhere before.  |

I'm not saying this is a bad idea, but we have to be really careful about this approach. If you just open up a store-front, there will be a lot of selling pressure as those that have mined the coin start buying stuff. See GPUCoin. Once they opened up their store, the price plummeted and never recovered. You need to make sure that you increase the demand, which is not easy to do. Edit: To increase the value of the coin, you need people not just to buy it but to hold it. If they buy and then spend right away (which most likely means selling as the merchant cashes out), it won't have much effect on the value. |

It will be a fine balance. One storefront won't create an empire. But it will create a beginning. I alone with my own projects will not make or break SPN. I hope it will be a start. I have been looking at ways to move the market. The sponsorship portion of my project I have considered accepting multiple coins with the intent to trade for SPN as well. Sort of a multi-pool effect to help with a buyers market. As these come together I will let everyone know what I decide. It will be easy to implement.
I had mentioned a while back about trying to move SPN into the betting markets. More direct.... MMA sports events. I had spoken with a few sites who had responded with interest but needed more from SPN before adding it as a coin to bet with. Its still on the table and possible. It is something I will pursue in the coming months. Any fellow with connections or the desire can work on this if they want. Let me know if you need anything from me.

Ive brought a couple of Asics in the past with BTC, but its way risker than using a system where the consumer is 100% protected, like with creditcard or paypal etc, and this is the main problem. And why cryptos are only really good for playing the exchanges If everyone was to hold, and no one sold, would be death as no exchange likes listing dead coins, and investors dont like buying them. and at the end of the day its all about the trade volume. So the idea is to both Sell and buy. Both sellers and buyers determan the success, not just buyers and holders. Sellers play a very important part also, they give buyers cheaper coins, and more chance to increase their investment |
