I think some exchanges are under attack.  The hashrate for Credits has plummeted.

These exchanges seem down:
http://cr.poolerino.com/index.php
http://cr.cryptopirates.net/index.php

Well we consider ourself a pool not an exchange.

But for now yes, its an 100-200GB/s attack and Hoster (OVH) just pulled the plug.

Was my bad, I know it's a pool, it was just a typo on my part.  Sorry.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

dedicated and poolerino are behind on fork

these coin developers are terrible and need to be shamed.  They fork the coin within a week of launching it, and don't even notify pools.

SHAME.

We did notify the owners of the donation pools (not just over BTT, but over IRC and other means of communications) however they just didn't respond.  We of course wanted them to know about it haha, them not knowing doesn't help us at all believe me.

Edit:  However, I must admit that we did not notify the owners of ALL pools, which was completely our fault.

Are you going to refund the money any users lost during this time when attempting to make manual or automatic payments?  If not, it's going to look real bad on you.

I think you should remove the "FAIR" from your title.

I can tell you for certain this coin is amongst the most fair i have seen since being on this board.

DEVS - take some fee's now on your pools

MINERS - think about it... mine on the dev pools, they have ZERO coins right now.... they need coins to fund development. Without development the coin is going to die and it is pointless mining.

There was no premine/ no instamine so and their pools have been on 0% so we need to give them some incentive to develop this coin.

I agree though the casino is 100x more important than the android wallet for now. Credits need some uses

Linux wallet where? I think I have some issues due to the fork but no way to update.

I tried deleting and redownloading the blockchain but it still hangs.

Meaning I've got 21k credits I can't get out from poolerino which was a waste of fucking time.

That was your fault for mining on that pool.  If you used bamboohouse like I do, then you'd be fine right now.

Don't fucking blame the devs for your own choices.

We need more hashpower to keep the blocks coming!

Address: cr.p2phash.com

Some P2Pool benefits:
* No registration
* Immediate payouts after a block is found
* Slighty higher payouts including block fee
* No account hack possible

Fee: 1%

If you don't like bamboohouse, the dev pools were not forked; you could have mined there like I and others did. The fork announcement was made a while ago, so I don't think anyone was really surprised. It's the pools fault for not keeping tabs on the coins.

Honestly, it sounds like bad timing since the pools got DDoS'd right when the coin was forking. You can't honestly blame the fucking devs for that....

Your best best is compiling it yourself on whatever system it's pretty easy.

Skip this step if you already have the dependencies:
Code:
sudo apt-get install build-essential libboost-all-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev libdb5.1-dev libdb5.1++-dev qtcreator

And make sure you have git:
Code:
sudo apt-get install git

Then git 'er:

Code:
cd ~
git clone git://github.com/usecredits/Credits.git

Open the credit-qt.pro file in the "Credits" folder that was just downloaded to that directory..

Build and run.

That's about it! Ill make an executable if it will be easier.

cr.poolerino.com is back on track.

Biggest attack so far, Hoster (OVH) had to pull the plug. Went on until this morning 1 AM.

Credits pool updated and paid out all outstanding coins (had be disabled for security reasons)

Hey everyone, please keep in mind that our four official themed pools are STILL UP, with 0% fees
http://deusex.cryptocredits.org/ - 0% fees - Set donation fee if you want to contribute extra
http://dredd.cryptocredits.org/ - 0% fees - Set donation fee if you want to contribute extra
http://batmanbeyond.cryptocredits.org/ - 0% fees - Set donation fee if you want to contribute extra
http://masseffect.cryptocredits.org/ - 0% fees - Set donation fee if you want to contribute extra

why not put some fee's? these are the dev fund right? i mean we need development for the coin to survive. No development = game over.

What plans do you  have next for the coin and how much do you need to raise to get started with it?

We're going to put some fees when the net hash gets a bit higher, we're trying to give people incentive to start mining.

Next dev plans, in order of importance (feel free to critique)
Android Wallet
Credits Casino
Improving the Marketplace

It's hard to tell how much we need to raise to get started, really anything will help.

There are a lot of ideas that we are still pondering here, you guys think that any of these could potentially build interest?
http://www.coinboards.org/thread-list-of-open-source-bitcoin-projects

I personally think the casino is more important than the android wallet. But it might be because I've never used an androind wallet before. Is there any way I can donate credits directly to you guys btw?

Yeah me too. And i find more important to improve the marketplace than the android wallet too.

Big up Dev, you are doing a very good job. Keep going !

Peace
