Both are good for investment.But I would prefer to own more ETHEREUM over RIPPLE because Ethereum has proven itself to be useful not only as a currency and investment but as a platform with a bright and growing future.However Ethereum is powerful. It is not just a currency, it is a world in itself. It helps for anyone with a technical background to create tokens, create smart contracts and even an organization in itself.

If I consider the performance of both coins from their origin I would say both are not up to mark and none of them is doing great. Personally I think ripple is better because ETHs price directly depends on price of BTC

Without doubt it has to be ETH as Ripple has not being giving you anything this year and do not know what future it will hold in coming years. On other hand their is a huge potential for ETH and it could also make a good investment if you do invest now.

I would actually go for Etherum because i do trust ether and also will do always. Ether has comparitively good price and also is a fluid coin which gives us the opportunity to make small profits in day trading. The price varies a lot depending on the demand and it is really a good opportunity for all those who wants to make small profits. Also holding eth for long term can be much profitable as already we have sawn a huge price in past for ether and ether can exceed the price above that which would truely be profitable for us.

Definitely, this Ethereum dominates the market after bitcoin and no ripple is even suitable for it .

I am not a big fun of Ripple as it has huge supply and it is not a fully decentralised coin but have to admit that $0.33 for XRP is a good entry price for investing.
Having much  more confidence in Ethereum.

I would go with RIPPLE right now as it looks way more steady.  Ethereum is flopping around like a fish over in the corner and I'm not sure what's happening with it.  I cannot believe it is this low so I don't trust putting money in at this point.

For me, i choose buy and invest in eth rather than xrp. If i see the progress of both of the coins's price, i think the price of eth is more stable rather than xrp now. It is more valuable to invest in eth and i believe in September 2018, the price of eth will raise again and be better. From all the altcoins, i think eth will be the best and can catch up btc's price.

I am more inclined to etherum if I invest, because etherum up and down is so significant, of course with a large price difference and certainly gives a big profit too but not to forget also with ripple

I cant suggest you directly that this one is better over that because today one is better but in next it may not. But i have studied on many digital coins. so i personally prefer ETH to RIPPLE.Now its your decision to distinguish between them collecting huge information.

ETH is more popular than ripple. 90% of the ICO uses the ETH blockchain. Ripple is a quite confusing coin to the crypto member.Basically people's trust are working in ETH.I think for investment ETH will give you the best profit.

I believe that these are currencies that target totally different markets, ripple tries to make the transactions more convenient between users and banks and ETH serves as an application development platform, now if we talk about it financially, I believe that ripple is better for the long term, but ETH is better for making weekly trades.

Both the coins are good but in my views Ethereum is much better than Ripple because Ethereum is very promising coin of this market and it have a very strong ERC20 platform. I personally think that Ethereum will continue matching Bitcoin's growth per year since it's a coin which got a good amount of customer preference also.

Between Ethereum or Ripple from my point of view there is no doubt that Ethereum is going to win that battle and some people believes that Ripple will soon disappear, i don't know if that is truth but it definitely won't beat Ethereum, thats what i think.

if I personally would definitely choose Ethereum, because I see Ethereum better than Ripple, that is from the rank of coinmarketcap which Ethereum ranks above the rank of Ripple.
