I think that to support guncoin is also important keep the wallet always online and conected to guncoin network to help it and to show people that this coin has supporters that will use it .
Agreed - the more connections we show to newbies the better. FYI, we did change all the seed nodes last week, plus we added one - there are now 4. You can see the config info in the user-guide. These have helped increase the speed we sync a little bit I think and improve part of the infrastructure we are slowly rebuilding for the longer term. |

OK, we now have the SSL certificate attached to the ad site and everything should be fully functional. We will not be charging for the classified ads. However, we think that we will offer banner advertising of some sorts and will charge a reasonable amount of GUN for that. We do have it configured so that we have to approve all new signups, so we would appreciate it if you use your forum names so we know who is who on the ad site. Please be patient as the new signup notifications typically go to our spam bucket, so if for some reason we miss the notification that you signed up, after a reasonable time, please PM us here and we will get you approved on the ad site. FYI, we will be moving the primary website at http://www.guncoin.info in the next couple of days to our server - maybe sooner. We hope this goes smooth - but you never know what hiccups might occur along the way. We will be switching to a WordPress style site from the current Joombla style - nothing wrong with the current one - just not what we are used to. Additionally, all the seed nodes are tied in at the registrar where they are mapped to the actual IP addresses of the true seed nodes. As such, during the transition, they may experience some delay in connections. Again, we hope this goes smooth - if it does not, we will work as quickly as we can to get everything back and going. |

I entered all the required info, none of the optional.
Many users will sign up this way, so having it function with minimal information is a must. If there's a particular part that it needs, change it from an optional to a required field.

OK, we are looking at it - think it has to do with a disconnect when we added the SSL certificate. There are some script changes that are required and we may not have made all of them. We have used the script before successfully, it just has dozens of configuration settings to get it right. Looks like we missed one or two. |

OK, we are going to say the website move and update is done - we have one page that still needs some updating - for other than that everything should be there. You will also note that the new Users Guide and Classified Ad site are now linked in on the main menu. We hope these are key attractors for newbies coming to Guncoin for the first time. We also wish to thank those who provided inputs on that Users Guide. The results are what you find there on the site now. We will try and keep it updated if we find errors in it or add new features over time. So just FYI, if you remember when we started the transition to our group, we posted our to-do list - so here is what we have got done in the past few weeks.
1) Added 4 new nodes, retiring 3 that were owned by the previous owner.
2) Moved the website to our servers and taken over email accounts with a Cloudflare front-end to protect the site.
3) Redesigned the website with a new look and added more information.
4) Created and released a Users Guide.
5) Created and released a Classified Ads site for GUN owners.
6) Taken ownership of Facebook, Reddit, and Twitter accounts
7) Created dozens of new banners and buttons (under Links on the new website) for us to use as well as those retailers who choose to accept gun in the future
So as you can see, it has been a busy month for us and we are pleased with what we have done in solidifying the infrastructure for a very good coin with strong support. Moving forward now, we are always open to more ideas to make GUN better. But here is our plans for the next few weeks.
a) Thorough review of the coin code - looking for opportunities to make it more efficient or add more features easily - nothing major at this point (although open to idea - some have already been sent to us)
b)Will start pursuing banner advertising on firearms websites to increase our visibility
c) Will hire an ad firm to help promote GUN in areas where it has not been promoted before
d) Create a GUN Quick Start Guide to supplement the Users Guide.
e) Get out the Vote campaign to move GUN up the voting list on some of the bigger exchanges.
f) Take over the remaining forum accounts from previous owners, including this one
Again, we appreciate your support here and on the exchanges - let's help keep those prices up and get some real retailers out there to use GUN !!!

I have a suggestion for you to add to the wallet.
You mention in the PDF to do backups as often as every day. How about adding a routine to the wallet so that every time the wallet is opened, it updates (which is normal), then backs up the wallet and blockchain when it's done. Then, when the user's wallet or pc crashes, it gives them the option to revert to backup (copy the backup files and restart the app to let it update from last backup), or they can wait to download the entire blockchain and start over which takes hours (and eventually will take days).
That would be a plus, if gun could users could pretty much guarantee no coin loss, and no super long recovery on a computer crash.
