Question guys - I mined about 50k of these back when it was launched. Does anything have to be done (exchange or something) since the algorithm changed?
Thanks in advance. I really just didn't want to wade through 60 pages...

Just get the latest version of the wallet. Check to see that your coins are there. Optionally, send all your coins to yourself at a new address, just to make sure that it works. (I didn't send my old coins, but I did mine a couple of blocks so far.)

Back up your wallet.dat and upgrade to the new wallet software. Nothing else should need to be done unless you have an issue.

Everybody caught up on their mining software?
It's updated and a considerably higher hashrate than the old stuff.

I'm actually surprised that the most regulated states aren't the most prolific. As, in places like NY, you can't even privately sell a shotgun to your neighbor or give it to your kid, without an FFL.

I was not surprised to see Wyoming on top, but was surprised to see Vermont way up there - good for them. In regards, to Texas with the population explosion down here, the FFLs have their hands full - but it is never hard to find one closeby.....

Good news, I do have some 3" Guncoin patches on order - hope to have them in my hands in less than 2 weeks. Also, I think there are some stickers already on the way. I think our plan is to put them on the classified ad site for general sale. If anyone else want to do pins or coins, etc. Please feel free.....

Rumor has it that the stickers are in... Yes, I am in NY, and that is all NY complaint!! FU Cuomo. I would post a pic of them on my truck, but they just arrived today, and it's snowing and blowing, and pitch dark, and the wind chill is cold enough that my camera wouldn't work even if I wanted it to.. And since I'm planning on getting rich and retiring off of those stickers, they are going to be for sale in packs of 10 (5 of each sticker) for $6, including shipping. (selling a couple billion I might break even) They will be listed on the guncoin swap site by this weekend.

Are the patches going to be iron on or sew on?

http://blockexperts.com/gunProblem is the rich list, I just don't know how did they got so much guncoins? What are their plans, there is no way anyone can mine that much now even at this diff. I started to mine few days ago but looking at this rich list there is no point for me to continue.

Does that mean you won't mine litecoin because you can't make the rich list? I've been mining it since the beginning in may, and have enough to make the first page of the rich list. (no, I am not #1 or #2) No, mining this isn't 'get rich quick' as the dev doesn't want it to be a flash in the pan, then flame out. If that's what you want, look elsewhere.

I started to mine few days ago but looking at this rich list there is no point for me to continue. Makes no sense to me. Like the last poster said, you are not going to mine anything if you cannot be in the top 5 or something??? The point of mining is to mine coins for a profit. If you accumulate them, you are investing in GUN hoping the price goes up. GUN has a pretty loyal following, we have never seen any serious dumping. When some dumping has occurred, our users view it as a buying opportunity and grab them up - me included. The Rich List is what is, we can not change it and have no desire to hide it. We are very happy that certain investors have the faith in us to hold GUN while our market in firearms community develops. Other coins should be so lucky. An other alternative is just to buy what you want on the exchanges - you can move up the Rich List pretty well then. You are going to find very few coins that are 6 months old that you can start mining and make a dent in the Rich List. By switching to the Neoscrypt algorithm, we are trying to move the coin towards the end market - beyond the crypto community, so any firearm enthusiast or gunshop owner with a laptop can mine GUN and make a few coins each day. So far we have a dedicated group of miners who have been mining gun for a very very long time - some since day one when GUN was Scrypt and continuing with GUN as a Neoscrypt coin. If you are looking for get rich coin, to be part of a pump and dump - GUN is not it. If you are looking for a solidly designed coin, with a dedicated community and long term potential - GUN is a perfect choice. I guess for a crypto enthusiast/investor/trader, you need a few of each in your portfolio. Regardless, thanks for stopping by and checking GUN out.

I agree with the things you said, all of that makes sense. Guncoin is interesting coin and if you look at my posts on this forum you will see that I m not the kind of person who is dumping coins, I did that only with one coin because dev was acting crazy. Anyway, I think that you didn't understand what I wanted to say, it is not important for me to be on richlist or something like that. Problem is what are the plans from the investors side because I have seen lot of coins dumped because of huge premine or because someone lose his fate in coin. I have no problem to see someone have 12 millions of guncoins as long as he playing smart but those coins in such volume are not in any exchange where guncoin is listed only few thousands are for sale. This only tells me that someone is waiting for bigger exchange to dump them.
