Ok been on AskCoin.net all day and voting every 10 minutes...Where is everybody?  ?? Guncoin is number two on the voting block If we get together here it can be number one real quick!!!!! We only have a few more hours until they announce the winner!!!! |

AskCoin had 508 votes....508......then all of a sudden it changed to 504 for a loss of four votes. AND now we are in third place. Is someone hitting the wrong coin? |

Ok people looks like we have another voting sights that messes around with the votes. AskCoin had 508 votes....508......then all of a sudden it changed to 504 for a loss of four votes. AND now we are in third place. Is someone hitting the wrong coin? +1...and LOL |

LOL we threw a TON of votes towards the "askcoin" exchange. I am sure we will be listed there soon, but they are a brand new exchange and have nearly 0 trading volume for most coins.
On the other hand, please keep up the voting on BTER, Mintpal and AllCoin! We have a steady stream of votes and are rising on all of those lists.
I do not know what is up with Cryptsy. They put soooo many crap coins on the voting list for apparently no reason at all and yet they will not put Guncoin on the list even though we have an outstanding voting record with all of these other sites. We have contacted them many, many times and I have seen lots of you contact them as well. They obviously have something against us. Meh, whatever. It would be nice to be on Cryptsy, but it does not break my heart.

The hash rate is currently at 78 Mh/s, which is right around where it has been for about 2 weeks. We have not seen double that since the day Guncoin went live. It is steady. Marketing is slow and steady as well. Unfortunately, our advertising budget is getting very low so we are looking at other ways to get some more dollars flowing in for the project. We will always manually market, but advertising dollars are important. We believe it is important that Guncoin get listed on some larger exchanges. We really need those votes people! |

The hash rate is currently at 78 Mh/s, which is right around where it has been for about 2 weeks. We have not seen double that since the day Guncoin went live. It is steady. Not really, it's climbed to about 130 mh/s several days ago, then dropped back to the 60's where it is now. A simple look at the difficulty on the blockchain will bear this out. Currently it mid 1's for difficulty, while it was up in the mid 3's. Marketing is slow and steady as well. Unfortunately, our advertising budget is getting very low so we are looking at other ways to get some more dollars flowing in for the project. We will always manually market, but advertising dollars are important.
We believe it is important that Guncoin get listed on some larger exchanges. We really need those votes people!

UPDATE -
Voting, voting and more voting!
Guncoin is holding excellent position at bter.com and allcoin.com (top 20 in both). We are also still rising on Mintpal! Keep voting and keep in mind that allcoin.com now offers 50 votes per day for posting a tweet! Check out their voting page for more info.
Team Guncoin is beginning another round of advertising next week and it would be great to get listed on another exchange to promote before that begins!

Unfortunately the exchanges are not full of gun enthusiasts, or people who want to support a cause; they are crypto enthusiasts, and people out to make a quick buck. If they see there is nothing that sets this coin apart from others, outdated scrypt, or top tier features, the coin may not last too long on the exchanges

We have decided not to change our algo from how it is currently configured. We are very pleased with how the Scrypt with DigiShield has performed and we are not eager to change the source. |

I think we shouldn't close any door for now. It's still the beginning; maybe not changing the algo is the right move, maybe not. Let's say 50-50 to respect anyone's opinion  so...

I think we can talk about the algo again after this next round of advertising mmhm?  Let's say no-one will join the coin after the campaign; maybe we should apply some tech changes and face the fact that we have to attract crypto-people... or maybe guncoin will finally reach those facebook fans, they will start to buy the coin and we won't need to change anything (just keep improving and following the "projects" in the home of the main web site). More data can change an opinion. Like that story..."you're in your house and you need money, car-key and the cell-phone: what you take first?..." and then you say "nothing, because the house's on fire!" more data can change opinions...if our minds stay opened for changing. |

I've been thinking about desirability, and how it relates to guncoin.
Go to it's base, gun owners.
Where do you get the most gun owners for the buck? Gun shows.. Put a pic of the coin, the name, the website, and a QR code going to the website, on quarter page flyers and hand them out, and leave them on tables. 9 out of 10 will end up on the floor, but one here and there will end up in the hands of someone that's going to get interested in it.
