You can't say it's scam or not in the beginning, because everything seems very promising and very professional. But you can see before the ICO end, if something strange happen than it's usually a scam behavior like spam is allowed in their telegram channel, or the team one by one disappeared and cannot be contacted again.

HOQU seems pretty fake to me. They wrote a block about stealing of 1500 ETH from budget, but there were no prooves, so I consider them as fake.

Nowadays there's a lot fake ICO and Bounty that's why we should be very careful of choosing because you might get one worthless and surely it will cause you money lose. So to avoid encounter fake ICO and Bounty we should have enough knowledge about it, also before we participate to them make sure we have a proof that they are worth it . Study it before we waste out time and effort.

The best way is to invest your own time in the research of a project. Even if the project is hard promoted and no one have ever checked the team members, the ICO is going to turn scam. Just prepare yourself and it would help to save your money.

Yes, this is a big problem of today's market, but no one has invented the right ways to learn the scam, I pay attention to all the little things, and most importantly to the manager of the bounty campaign, and make sure that the table is filled in time.

Pls what are the best way to detect fake ico and fake project... We can't continue working to promote them and later discovered that it is bounch of fake... We really need tools to detect fake ico

there is no tool for that and what is very reliable is your logic and knowledge, so you must have knowledge in ico analysts. especially if you are an investor
every choice of speculation must be involved with your experience and knowledge.

It is impossible to be completely confident in any project, but you can always reduce the risk in the selection. To do this, you need to analyze the team, ideas, goals of the project, its social networks, white paper, website. An integrated approach will help to eliminate obvious fake ICO and bounty.

For me, the best way to select a promising project becomes a careful study of its beta product. It allows me to understand whether the project has further chances for development and success. Be sure to examine the documentation and the project site before starting an investment.

You don't need a tools to actually detect whether the ICO campaign is fake or not. By just viewing the site, reading the whitepaper, verifying the team, and also joining in the community chats in telegram, and also in following its social media, you can know if it is a fake or not.

Usually at every start of new project or when i'm looking for a project to join into the bounty campaign. I will check all the data provided by the project while cross checking any other data from many source if possible. Including to check the member of the team, is it valid or not.

The tool for detecting fake ICO and bounty is your experience and knowledge.
If you don't have enough experience in cryptocurrency, the results will be tricked by Scam ICOs.
Thanks buddy.  I concur, you just said it all.  Experience is the best teacher as we all know at the same time some must be cautious enough.
Have you ever experienced something like that?
Fraud in ICO or bounty, if you have such experience then don't hesitate to keep telling me in this thread.

Always check the team involved and their site. Almost all information will be given, check thoroughly their main address, CEO, CMO and Devs. If the token is a bit dodgy when in it comes to giving information about their team and themselves better to skip that campaign and look for another. Also, there are guidelines here in the forum regarding known scammers, fake icos and fake project. Read a lot and let the information guide you through your choices.

To avoid false ICO, I did more research. First I will check the website summary and then look at the development team and see the number of tokens allocated. You must be able to distinguish fake ICO projects if seen from the token extension. You must check your wallet and make sure there are genuine investors or not. And you also need to find out more information.

Sure we can detect them. Unfortunately, there are some unfair projects on the market at the moment, but if you spend around 3-4 hours by investigating the project and searching for legal proofs, you won't lose your money at the end.

there are a lot of fake icos and bounties because people want to making money easiest way and cheaters using this. If you are an investor on the market, and you do not want to be circulated, you have to research.

I still don't understand why people are investing in ico these days...it is dangerous and it is not like 2017 anymore.
You answered your own question, people are investing in icos because they are not realizing that it is not 2017 anymore and they are trying a strategy that worked very well in the past but that is not working at the moment those people will need to adjust their strategy to account for the current problems that the ico market is facing or they will have to risk losing all their money by investing in icos trying to get the profits that you could get in the past year something that is very unlikely.

You will never know which ICO is fake with your checker. It is an old-fashioned way of checking and now the scammers do everything that looks great. I have seen some ICO with over 50k members in telegram, website, whitepaper, team..etc, everything is great but it is a scam

We have to admit that in today's ICO market there really are a lot of scammers and failed projects. With this circumstance just have to accept. But in any case, today there is a chance for successful investments, you just need to carefully study the project and its development prospects.
