I really want to get interested in this coin, but whats with the name beam? At least its better than Grin, but the Monero/Zcash/Stealth/Dark generation had better anon names IMO.

It is all about our perspective, for you it sounds stupid but for me and others, it sounds good and cool. What we need right now is not a better name but a better development and technology, they might have a better name compared to any others. But that does not mean they have better technology and development compared to others if you want to support something. Support it because of its capability.

There are a lot of people having problems sending/receiving BEAM transfers.  BEAM's design of requiring a online protocol between sender and receiver for transferring seems to lack robustness.  BEAM is interesting, but I think Dero has more promise.

HOTBIT just suspend deposit and withdrawal for BEAM, because problem with nodes.
Also, I sent my coins from biggest pool 8 hours before, nothing arrived...
BEAM devs? When can we expect the fix?

Yeah, this is what I'm talking about.

All Payouts and Withdrawals are too slow Sad
Pools rejecting workers (rigs) after a couple of hours of a mining (5-6h) with Polls rejecting error Sad ...
All about BEAM is weird...
Exchanges are slow too and with enormous fee (HotBit 0,001BTC fee!!!)

Mimblewimble made great innovative project, from which Grin coin take advantage of its later release to become the second payment gate of the forum.
People should proud of Mimblewimble.

the only exchange I have used to buy beam was chainrift but it's liquidity is a bit low.
I might register on Bitforex and see how it goes.

I also see that Beam will be running with AIOMINER free hash Friday.

this is a great contest that I've participated in the past for other coins.
when you see the tweet about Beam from https://twitter.com/aiominer then get involved!

I do not understand what´s problem you have with hotbit? Never had any problem with Hotbit, but understand Bitforex is much bigger exchange, so good news for Beam!

Many users have had a variety of issues with hotbit.
right from the start, they had bots pumping fake volume and both buyers and sellers found it difficult to place orders and have them filled. Exchange bots are detrimental to real users in a variety of ways - if you can never catch a bot price, you will always be buying way higher than the correct ongoing value.

this is just one example.

If it is a true, then they will have real difficulties with law or? Recently there were many investigations and I think that HotBit wasn´t on the list  Wink.
But, I am not from HotBit, I am not saying that it is the best exchange Wink.

I see that you are wearing Beam signature code. Is there any ongoing signature campaign? Could you kindly give me link where I can get more information, please?

No, it's personal preference.
to be quite honest Bitcointalk has really gone downhill these last few years. The merit system is ridiculous and the sheer volume of spam posts make it not really worthwhile for any project to run any kind of rewards-system for promotion.

I'm just here to ensure that news which is posted on the discord and telegram channels are replicated here.

Any info about wallet problem or some else problem? Almost 8 hours today trying to withdraw from sparkpool, wallet is online, beam is shown in wallet and stays on confirming and after some time goes to canceled.

I just leave it open and it eventually clears, not very secure thought about Ng to leave your wallet open.

Faced with the problem: in the console wallet was created by the address; this address was used for the BEAM mining on sparkpool and leafpool. GUI wallet shows that this address has expired. Consequently from the exchanges I can not withdraw their coins. Who faced with similar and solved the problem?

#1 - Never mine with an expiring address.

#2 - The newest version of the wallet is supposed to have an option to reactivate an expired address, but I have not tried it personally. I think that you will need to contact both of the pools that you mined at as well; I hope you didn't mine this way since launch?
