Wow, thank to the donors who brought our faucet balance to 10k+! http://162.209.109.81/thcfaucet/now gives 40+ THC per dispense instantly! don't forget to get your THC treats after voting on Mintpal.com tell yo wife, tell yo kids...they giving out THC to errbody out here. Thank you for your work! Do you have a domain? If not I do have hempstuff.net so if you wanted me to point faucet.hempstuff.net to your ip or something, I could. Just sent ya a lil donation. Use it all for the faucet or split it between yourself and the faucet. guys, the donations are getting ridiculous. 70K+ now??! that's close to 300 THC/hr I'll keep the faucet donations in the faucet. maybe down the road i'll take a percentage for hosting cost. but right now, i'm still playing with the code and doman and working with cloud. right now still got couple of month of free credit on rackspace.com. I think that should be enough time to get it on to Mintpal. Personal THC donations here: HEu72yvzsviosbPc4uLBjjXp77Vv4vso8h

I don't have a domain set yet, as I am working on faucets for other coins too, and maybe a pool. since it's still in development, I like to keep it like that until we get footing. you are welcome to redirect to it, so your users can get some THC while it's hot. I'll keep you guys updated to any big changes i may make.

The network hashrate is so low now. Just notice someone that hit a 1750 THC block on his own. 4 days ago i had to mine 1 day for this amount. Great Job. From the moment this coin will have 10 times more hashrate the price will move higher. Maybe 500 sats.

been solo mining for almost a week now, I switched to the pool when the hashrate jumped last weekend (I think), but right back to solo when it dropped back down. been doing pretty well, hit two 15,750 blocks and almost twenty 1,750. Is it really a 1% chance to hit the 1750 and 1% chance to hit the 15,750 ? from my observations it looks a lot more like 5% and 0.5%..... i know it deviates, but i am usually not this lucky. I posted a while back about the bonus blocks not showing up in the windows wallet... well they are starting to show up now, it seems it takes them about 3-5 days before they show up in the history (GUI). they show up right away when I do a listtransactions from the console. must be a windows bug or something.... either way, coins show up in wallet just as they should. i would love it if it hits 500 sat... but kinda want to continue my run at solo-ing this coin for a while longer, 205k and counting....

I wanted to get you all up to date on x11. Despite trying for countless hours to integrate (fork) the existing source into a x11 we are not able to do it flawlessly. The issue is in the PoS algorithm which is much different than a regular non PoS. We cannot release something less than 100% correct. We are sorry to get your hopes up and don’t like touting something and not following though but this is very difficult to accomplish with 100% accuracy at this time. As soon as we thought it was close it would fail in long range test. We have had some top coin coders in the world spend time with the issue and at this time it’s not an option. Also a coin swap which is super easy is not an option. We are going to take a break from it and spend time promoting Hempcoin. On this subject the Proof of Stake coin is significantly better in regards to attacks and asics hog mining. There are not a lot of Stake coins based on the amount of coins out there. Especially one with Bonus Blocks. Here is a like for those not familiar with the Hempcoin Stake (PoS) feature. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Proof_of_StakeTake a few minutes to check out our BCT Front page. We have added lots of new links. Shout out to sillypothead for the Faucet. We tossed a few in the faucet. Shout out to placebo for pushing Hemp in Pot BCT. Any other promotional help for Hempcoin is appreciated. Cheers! Dev

THC: H6j9jNjRELqCiV6vXFVCp8QQ7sM8e1Afvo You have all heard of Hempcoin and seen it in the forums. Hempcoin (THC) was released March 9th. This was released with the Proof of Stake Growing season. Hemp Coin is not like many other crypto currency creators who scheme others into mining and then dumping. We are here to make a currency that is considered the main currency within the hemp community. This is why we chose the hemp leaf symbol. It symbolizes the liberty that we should have around the world but are still not given, primarily within bank practices. This is where Hemp Coin comes in. Hemp Coin is committed to donating to hemp research and legalization. Donation wallets will be setup exclusively for hemp research. Lets be real. There are a thousand coins out there and only a couple dozen that has an actual purpose and use. Hempcoin is a fair community Zero Premine coin. Support Hempcoin. You will see huge profit!ZERO PRE-MINE Proof of Stake (PoS) 250 Coins Per Block Halving at 500,000 Block Intervals Minimum Reward of 1 Coin Per Block 250,000,000 Total Proof of Work Coins
BONUS Blocks 1% Chance of 1,750 Coins
BONUS Blocks 1% Chance at 15,750 Coins
45 Day Coin Age Requirement for 5% Stake (Growing Season) Season lasts for 45 additional days and then can be started again

Is everything okay?

I noticed that every single bonus block found happens right after i find a regular block (consecutive blocks on the chain)... it has happened too many times to be a coincidence. I assume other solo miners out there are seeing the same thing?

what the heck your right... i only see them on thc.mine-coin pool, the others seem fine..... but i just realized i got 8 orphans in a row in a span of 2 hours ( 1 hour ago - 3 hours ago ) solo-mining, but have gotten a good block since that batch..... richie from bittrex just posted about seeing something like double spend not too long ago.... maybe related... this goes beyond my knowledge of the blockchain.

It does look like there is some kind of issue with the wallet. I haven't seen an orphaned block in weeks and now almost every block is showing up orphaned.

Yes, Bittrex disabled this for Double Spend: https://twitter.com/richiela/status/462315749672230912I wonder if anyone can do an audit of the blockchain to see when the attack occurred. This would the second confirmed Double Spend attack is as many days. We altcoin community member might have a big problem on our hands securing these blockchains. At least Bittrex is quick to catch this before it goes too far and CryptoAltex did a great job too. We need to up our security measures as a community to stop this type of thing. Once a cybercriminal gets a taste of easy money they'll keep coming back.

Once a cybercriminal gets a taste of easy money they'll keep coming back. How do you fix something like that? It's a relatively complex issue. I think detection is probably extremely important. Monitoring of newtork hash rates with an alert system would be very helpful. If such a system existed then there might be a way to load balance hash. I've been talking with multiple people about this issue because I think it's going to grow. There are literally hundreds of low hash altcoins that could be vulnerable to attacks. And new altcoins with coding errors are too. The community needs to fill in the gaps on defense. On the bright side, that's a likely profit center for anyone who specializes in the area.
