Don't know what to say. Works on mine. Does you GPU allow you to raise the core voltage? Mine's @ 1.25 using Sapphire Trixx software.

Don't think the settings I gave him could kill the card. My quad miner draws 250 less watts and runs 15c cooler on this coin that any other with those settings.

Didn't see any increase with new miner, still gettin 4000 kh/s on R9 270  (1100/1400 OC)

Anyone else with R9 270?

Same for me on 270/270x, but for the love of god save a tree and drop ur memory. No need to OC memory for HVC. All mine running at 800.

You may want to check to see if your memory is actually running @ 800. I have found with the 7xxx & R9 cards if you lower the memory more than 1000 MGz. below the core clock setting the memory will reset to the whatever the default setting is for your card. MSI afterburner will show the true memclock. The bat/config will not override it.

It seems it's currently more profitable to mine LTC with these cards than HVC.  Why not then just mine LTC and buy more HVC with the LTC earnings?

is it 280x or 290 or 290x?

It's 290 (Non-X) Sorry, forgot to write here, already mentioned in my first post though.

I'm getting 8,23Mh with my reference Sapphire R9 290 --gpu-engine 1090 -i 8 -w 256

Hmm, could you please let me know your Hash Rate after latest upgrade from 1GH miner & please share your .bat & .config setting if possible for R290 card.
I am now getting constant 9.46 Mh/s at 55-60 degrees Celsius @ 4500-4800 RPM Fan speed but I guess there is still room for improvement.

The speed improvement with new CGMiner is MASSIVE!! This are my actual stats:

R280x:  47.0C 2250RPM | 8.992M/9.034Mh/s  (previously: 6,5) -> 40% increase
R290:  60.0C 3587RPM | 10.89M/10.94Mh/s    (previously: 8,2) -> 35% increase

Hey everyone! Please start pointing your rigs at heavycoinpool.com! I know right now it pays lower due to the low hashrate, but the admin is SUPER active and there are VERY helpful people in the IRC. Please help support a 3rd pool and decentralize this coin!
