But I don't know if it's for PC or web users.
It's available on web. I am accessing through browser and I haven't done it with the software and mobile. I'm more convenient doing it through the browser. And I think that's a good option for what swcpoker provides to their users on what we preferred as we sit on the tables. Though there were times that even if I am seated on the table, the round passes me and there were no checks/calls. Maybe sort of bug but it happened to me a few times.

Wow... It seems like the PC interface is more appealing and clearer. You don't even have to search for the settings because they appear right at the bottom. I think I'll have to try this too.

But the interface for live web users seems a bit different, right?

Yes, it's different for the web users. I think that kalaea's shown an image of the software and it's a good one. You can check it through your browser and see the difference on it. But with the software, it looks smooth and brighter compared to the web. I might try it soon but I'm still going to access through web.

The PC app's interface seems clearer and more appealing like the one above. I personally use a tab, and the interface is nearly identical to the web.

By the way, I've been a bit busy these past few days and haven't had time to log back into Swc. Are there any new events? Or are there still freerolls with increased rewards?

The hourly free rolls are still on going, you're not going to miss it if you'll join one and play. But you should be patient on these tournaments because there are a lot of participants and if you're aiming to end with a good place, it will take time for you because everyone wants to win those free chips.

I don't think there's been any new events. There are still freerolls every hour. I'm even playing in one right now.

Yes, tournaments test patience more than the tension of fear of losing a bet. And yes, they should be done when we have ample free time, because it will take quite a long time if we persist and aim for the best ranking.

Stud is my least favorite type of poker game, because there are more exposed cards than hidden ones. (Just kidding) Although the real reason is because I lose more often in that type of game. Tongue

Is there anyone here who is actually more skilled at this type of poker game (stud)?

Yes you are right, currently there is no new event going on, it is the same as before. However, there has been some change in the freeroll. One hour is held by NL hold'em and the remaining one hour by other games. However, maybe a month ago an announcement was made, a new event is coming. But they haven't published it yet. Hopefully they will focus on that soon.

In stud it's vital to keep track of upcards (especially folded ones) to help calculate odds. One tip for this is to type them into the chat box each hand (Obviously don't hit enter afterwards lol).
Chasing dead draws gets expensive.

That worked, ty. This is the PC download client.

I see. So you've been using the PC Client and I have been using the web version on my laptop, the layouts and everything are different on both, and that was the reason why I was having "Any" in the filters, and you were having "All" as a section where all the tournaments are displayed. Now I understand.

Also, it's a good thing that now you are able to post images using talking.com. Smiley

And that is the reason before I join any tournament, I make sure that I have enough time for it so that I can finish it for as long as I can. I want to finish it with a good rank but even if I try harder, there will be times that I might end the first one to get eliminated.

I don't know if this happens to you guys or not, but it happens a lot with me. Whenever I'm playing a freeroll, and I want to play carefully so that I can at least stay in the tournament for some time, but my hands don't support me, and I get eliminated quickly. However, when I have to leave for something and have no time anymore, I keep betting recklessly to finish my stash so that I can get eliminated, but then I start getting good hands, and keep winning.  Grin

It does happen to me but it's tempting as well to just go on with toe-to-toe with those that does the all-ins, sometimes I'm lucky with that and I am the one who eliminates them. But many times it happened to me that I was the one that got eliminated. And like with this one that I have posted and joined, with the 100+ participants I only ended up 30 because of being impatient and challenged by those all-ins. Too bad, no prize but it's fun and it took a while before I got eliminated.

Lately, I have been joining freerolls for a very small amount. I seem to get impatient very quickly at this point. Since it's free, don't hesitate to participate and try to have as much fun as possible. And here I was joining yesterday but there were many skilled players. Gradually fall out of it and cannot survive for long. Besides, I think you should join paid tournaments instead of joining free tournaments. Because there are not many participants and it ends very quickly.

I think your impatience is for the prize money. Since the prize money is so low , we often feel like this is so low prize pool, either go all in and have some stack of Chips or nothing. Wanting to gain some quick chips usually leads us to lose all chips. Recently I've joined some  low prize money & Free roll I saw that surviving on those match is very low for me. Than I thought for it and anaylzed my couple of match and I found out that prize money is what influencing us to play more serious. If you're dealing every match with a serious view you will findout that eventually you will be playing good . If a bit luck is with you haha. Just be paitence play your usual match.
The more you spent in the game , more you could learn the psychology of other players.

Yeah, many people tend to forget about estimating the required time a tournament can take. I was guilty of that too in the past. I even had a situation when I had to abandon a tournament, but had enough chips stacked to still make it to a paid place.
You can somewhat estimate the maximum time a tournament can take by checking its structure (i.e. in the "Tournament info"). This shows how often the blinds/ante will go up, as well as the amounts. Eventually, they will become so high that it will force the game to come to an end.

While there are free rolls, we have to enjoy them. I think that the essence of it is to get us prepared for the paid ones. And we can still join both of them, whichever we think we're good at. Since it's not going to cost us nothing, it's best for those who have patience issues to practice there.

I think if you have some time to just sit out while having those stack of chips, you might even some chance of staying longer. But if you had to go, then there is no other option but to leave it as is. So, estimating the time is really important if you're aiming to tick on the top place and make sure you have no other things to do.

On the contrary, I actually quite like this type. However, if I had to choose between Hold'em and Stud, I'd definitely prefer Hold'em because it's simpler. However, Stud is also one that I enjoy quite a bit.
A few days ago, I also participated in a freeroll that featured Stud. I lost my patience and only finished in 6th place.  Wink

Your comment is correct but we cannot be patient all the time. Because patience is broken for many reasons. If you don't get good cards, your patience will automatically decrease. I have read many times in such situations and tried to keep myself calm but could not. Since winning the tournament requires a lot of strategy as well as patience, it is right. I notice one reason, if I get good cards. Then there is no need for patience, time will pass automatically and chances of winning are very high. But freerolls are a good way to practice patience.

True that, I participate in them free rolls on SwCPoker, I bet we've met several times. It doesn't matter for me that the prize pool is so small, if I finish ITM - I'm happy. Btw, I became Young Seal recently, congratulate me, guys

For those of you who don't know - it's quite an achievement

Overall, I like this site very much. Playing there 2-3 times per week at least. And chatting with other players during the game is fun too, or even just reading how others chat. Smiley
