I will quote myself when you won't be able to sell the BTC and get half the price of your house, no doubt at the back of my mind.
Bitcoins won't last as an investment, stop with the greed.
Tada What do you mean? Are you familiarised with volatile assets? This thing may go to double digits (although Im pretty sure weve seen the bottom already), but it will bounce with fury, and yes, it is an investment

everyone keeps talking about "he will be rich when" "He will be wealthy" blah blah
we don't even know if he kept the coin he could have sold it buy now.
if he was living off of his fathers inheritance and squandered it on bitcoin he would have to sell the bitcoin to make back some money. Not many people could thug it out in a crack house working at ben and jerry's while they have 600 bitcoin that they sold their home for.

Hi All, I have been following Bitcoin for over a year and was the first person ever to put my house for sale for bitcoin. http://www.cbc.ca/newsblogs/yourcommunity/2013/03/alberta-man-accepting-bitcoins-in-exchange-for-home.htmlNot sure if you followed my story from a year ago, but the house just sold on Friday, and will make the news tomorrow I suspect. When the house closed on Friday I got approximately 648 BTC for my house which is based on prices over the past 6 months when the deal was actively negotiated, legal fees, realtor fees, and a bunch of contract wording that I frankly don't understand. I am now all in! I really believe in bitcoin. It is the future of the world. I look forward to the continued price increase and one day I plan to own my own island. I will truly be a bitcoin billionaire by the time I am 25 I believe. This house was inherited from my father who passed away a few years ago and he always believed in me and told me I would make it big one day and so I shall. Wish me luck Tay More Good luck, and it's not actually a bad idea to sell for bitcoin, since the price can change quickly (whether it rises or plummets is the question ) .

Wonder what it will look like in March myself.

What is the purpose of life, really? Pure hedonism and hording of wealth? I definitely recommend to everyone interested in having savings that they keep their savings in bitcoin to minimize exposure to the grotesque masquerade that is the modern banking system. Although it would be nice to see people doing things like this out of genuine conviction rather than desire to get rich. Ultimately it is those who do that secure the future and success of cryptocurrency. If you travel as much as I have, particularly in post-soviet countries and former colonies, I think you will learn to hate borders. This should stand even more so for advocates of free trade, who are essentially advocates of prosperity. This translates to love of anything that erodes those borders, and with national currency being one of the essential components of "the nation" as an institution, bitcoin absolutely qualifies. To love the end of these distinctions is to love equality, justice, and truth, because in the long run this divisive system benefits a few at the cost of many and creates divisions that ultimately lead to conflict and suffering, and is ultimately based on the illusory and fleeting designs of a few misguided individuals. Bitcoin is not a solution to human nature. But realization of our interconnectedness on this planet is a beginning, and the education that would be enabled by the kind of prosperity that would be generated by increased freedom of trade coming with a decentralized, global currency, would be a major step towards this consciousness. Change does not happen without taking some risks, so if you have money why not

You do not need to literally fleece yourself to have convictions. Bitcoin is cool, but no need fight the herd while you can by in lower.

Give me a break buddy, until you have some substantial proof to substantiate your claim button your lip. Your greatest resource is your logic, when he said "all in" what the hell do you think that meant? He either sold his money took a huge loss,I calculated it already (if you need to revise go do so now before you reply) or is still holding them and living with friends family or maybe he even moved into a studio apartment. One thing is for sure,he doesn't have some "backup" house.
