Does Altcoin price depend on BTC or ETH??

The thing that makes altcoins depends on bitcoin and ethereum is that most altcoins trade with bitcoin, when the price of bitcoin drops then automatically the value of altcoins also drops and vice versa.

Yes it is a pair which I guess most large and become the majority in Exchange. We can see all of the altcoin also have a pair to usd, eth and btc. It makes all the dependent against the movement of the market price which corresponds to the movement of these coins.

If the ICO and the token has no update but pure depending on the market value and its demand i may say YES, it will reflect much on the BTC VALUE.
THough even at bear market season if the development is good then there will difference on the value as the value of BTC going down it can still go up, though the dollar value will be unfriendly.

The answer is simple, regarding the sphere or cryptocurrency the big influencer is Bitcoin, conforming with the prove evolution of BTC the others coins go up or down.
