for myself this year I bought some Ethereum because I saw there was a pretty good movement in the market and especially in Ethereum it was increasing.

Good job it might bring in plus position now .Do you agree that we should sell on news i.e. on 16th Jan or wait further because it will provide us more profit after hardfork .

the news will greatly affect people's interest in a coin so if there is bad news about coins, then people's interest will decrease even people tend to sell, then the price will go down so that when there is good news about coins and many people believe that then prices will definitely rise there will be many people will buy it and that also applies to ethereum who is having good news

This is all because of incoming hardfork of ETH which I believe again will cause another dump on the market. So for me better to trade your ETH while it is still high or probably wait a day before the scheduled fork.

Why do you think that after the hard fork will be another dump of the market? Write, please, your arguments.

I only based it from previous forks of different coin just like recently with BCH. Possibilities right? But basically one thing is for sure and that BTC will still dictate whether will go up or fall AGAIN.

What usually happens is true. When there is a Hard Fork, of course the price of the coin will go up. And what is happening now is HF for ethereum. It will work if traders react with the rumor and news, but if they remain to silence and not making any movement, then we cannot take any benefits. Yes Crypto markets in fact are very prone to these "Buy the rumor... sell the news".

Take the 2017 Rejection of the Gemini ETF by the SEC. People were basically 110% sure it was going to be approved, they did analysis of which personnel visited the SEC offices in the notes. And basically one "genius" on Reddit said that "Why would they meet with these people if they were going to reject it... its 100% approved". And it basically started a rally where it broke the previous ATH for a little bit and it turned out to be a rejection and price crashed a little. Only to recover a few days after.

Same with the Bitcoin Futures launch. Basically it peaked at $20K on the day of the launch and completely reversed from there. When it was announced back in Oct-Nov it created a huge rally which went from $5K to $20K.

Same with the BCH fork which created BAB and BSV, price rallied all the way to $650 per BCH and only after the fork caused a huge crypto crash of all the markets.

The upcoming ethereum fork is just a soft fork not chain split fork ,this fork is just an upgrade for ethereum to change the POW algo and that doesn't mean it will make ethereum lose value ,I trust the dev  he won't make a stupid move on a good coin like ethereum ,any other upcoming fork are scams ,stay away from them

Its not a rumour about hard fork. Yes ethereum is growing gradually but I won't say eth is rising aggressively and volume is also growing in ethereum. As I always believe in ethereum potential and due to the upcoming hard fork people are buying ethereum. I hardly see nowadays crypto news affect the market. I believe after ethereum constantinople hard fork market will not drop too much as many crypto enthusiast predicting. I believe little drop will be there and after that ethereum will rise again. After Eth Constantinople hard fork it is expected the Eth network will more faster and less costly to operate.

I recently heard about 3 upcoming forks that will going to happen on Ethereum, and I see, constantinople is great but the other two are dubious. But still, buying will give us profit anyways? Let's enjoy the forks.
