Tomorrow is a big day for the group 1 teams. AUS will play against Afghanistan and NZ will take on Ireland. Both NZ and Australia will have to win the match with big margins to ensure they have a better run rate to qualify for the semi finals. I think anyone team from England, New Zealand or Australia can qualify from this group.

Yes, it is not fair to do so. Such comments are arranging due to the last match playing against Bangladesh. The fake fielding of Virat Kohli on the other is the Wet out field. Virat Kohli is also a super star player. I do not want to impose any fault on Kohli. He has made the wrong and he will get his punishment. But it is their failure to those who have not seen especially the umpires. The umpires made such a big mistake but it was visible in the eyes of ordinary people which is questionable. And if India have the power then why need to play the game?. But i do not think Bangladesh can make an excuse. Due to the wet out field the fielders will also have more problems. A batman's pitch is always covered during rain. The bad performance of Bangladesh is responsible for losing the match.

In the end, the ICC and the TV broadcasters (as well as the online streaming platforms) need India to be in the semi-finals (and preferably in the final as well). The viewership for matches in the next stage will be a lot lower, if India fails to qualify. And that is the reason why some of the rules are being bent and there is not much outcry from any of the other boards. Even the PCB has remained silent on what happened yesterday. But then, it is the fault of BCB as well. BCB in recent times taken a negative view on spreading the game. And in the long run, it ensures that the revenues remain concentrated in India.

Pakistan is a very strong team and played extremely good in all previous matches except from World Cup so today's match was equally important for both teams and an exciting one. Pakistan managed to win this match with a good margin and their hard work was seen in the match. South Africa no doubt gave a tremendous performance in this World Cup  and all the matches

At one stage Pakistan was 48 for 4 and they again had a bad start as usual. The openers again failed along with the top order batsmen. However, later Nawaz , Iftikhar and Shadab turned the table around and Pakistan managed to score much needed 185 runs. This was a match winning total and with the bowling of Pakistan, it was hard to chase this total.

The rain also helped Pakistan and made the target difficult for South Africa. However, even with the loss, South Africa is in a better position on the table, and they have greater chances of making it to the Semifinal.

People do not cry about cheating, people just see what the umpires are doing. Who is behind all this and who is benefited? Of course, money buys everything. Also, I suggest that instead of coming to this thread seeing people protesting (not crying), why not come up with your arguments to prove that you are right?

So here is a question for you and others. If the zero wickets are lost, the target should be 133 runs and not 151 after 16 overs. So how will you justify this target of 151 runs  

Again, India tried every trick in the book, to ensure they win this match. I wished the same efforts could be done by them in the playing  field too.

I am no DLS expert for sure and this table is for Par score as per DLS not the revised targets which factor in the current score as well. Also it's mathematics if the calculation of target is wrong why didn't any association stood up for it? I understand no ball can be dubious but mathematics is very easy to prove isn't it? Because baseless allegations cannot stand a chance anywhere.

Anyways where is the calculation table today? Why no one questioning wet outfield today?  Why is everyone so quiet today? Nawaz didn't took review after edging the ball? Do you think BCCI paid him?

Pakistan batted very well. Pakistan bowled more better  than batting and all out South Africa for just 108 runs. I won't say Pakistan won this match because of rain. Rain was not the reason for Pakistan's victory. Pakistan set a huge target of 186 runs. And against a bowling line-up as strong as Pakistan's, batting at a target of 186 runs is very difficult to win. South Africa lost two wickets for 48 runs in the first 6 overs. With experienced batsmen like de Kock and Rossouw, South Africa is not performing well. If these two players of the top order play well, South Africa is capable of winning against any team. However, despite the loss in this match, South Africa remains second in the table. South Africa can qualify for the next round if they win the upcoming matches.

ICC exists in name only. International or Franchisee cricket is now nothing but business. In any important case, the ICC's attitude shows indifference which is never desirable. Pakistan's bowling action deserves good praise but their performances have not been consistent. They had a good win against South Africa today but lost by 1 run with Zimbabwe a few days ago which many couldn't believe. If they could have won that match, they wouldn't have been stressed today. However, if you want to watch a competitive match, it will be more effective if Pakistan is in place of South Africa. Because currently South Africa is not in good form in cricket.

Sithara007, All I want to say is why do we even need to have ICC if it is not meant to be fair to everyone? It feels like India is committee team right now. If India wins, the ICC is very happy, and if India loses, the ICC feels very hurt as well. And most of the 50-50 situation seems to be going toward India almost all the time. If ICC cannot do its work properly I don’t think ICC is needed.

I saw a news report that wrote about yesterday's India vs Bangladesh match. The report went something like this: "After India won, the crowd chanted India..India..., if they had chanted ICC..ICC... the slogan would have meant the same thing." lol

I don’t know if that allegation was actually true from Nurul Hassan or not. I think they were wrong. And if he had any problems like that he should have told the umpire right then. That might have resulted in Bangladesh being given five free runs. No point talking about those after the match, to be honest.

Why do they need a new captain now, when Babar Azam is doing such a good job? He is still in his 20s, and therefore the slot for Pakistan captain will be fixed for the next decade or so. And moreover, he is the backbone for Pakistan in all the three formats of the game. Unless Babar complains about additional workload from captaincy, the PCB is not going to consider anyone else for the job. And indications are that he is enjoying his role as the captain. Shadab can be the vice-captain and replacement captain when Babar is not available.
