4th T20 Thailand Women vs Netherlands Women The match between these two teams has started. In the match Netherlands Women won the toss and decided to bowl. Now Thailand Women came to bat. They scored 55 runs in 7 overs. Thailand Women have lost 2 wickets so far and  8 more wickets are in their hands. If Thailand Women can play complete overs then they can score like 150 runs.

Thailand women have lost some quick wickets, and they are at 98/6 after 15.3 overs. So far this has been a very disastrous tour for the Dutch women. They lost the ODI series 0-4, and so far they are trailing the T20 series by 1-2. Only one win for Netherlands in 7 matches so far, with the 8th match being played right now. Remember that Netherlands is a country with almost 200 years of cricketing history. On the other hand, Thailand is a relatively new team, which started playing international cricket very recently. 

At the moment Netherlands W need 45 more runs on 18 balls with 5 wickets remaining. It seems like Thailand will take away the T20 series 3-1. Naruemol chaiwai the thai captain was top scorer with 47 runs while all bowlers have contributed there part in taking wickets. Thailand Women team will soon be part of ICC main events not sure whether there men team can do so or not.

I believe everyone in BCCI, stakeholders, including fans are aware of this reality.

Yeah WNBA is kinda subsidized by NBA in general so that would be a challenge in WIPL too and the goal should be self sufficiency in the longer run, even if it faces some roadblocks for a year or two.   

My opinion is slightly different. IMO, there is enough fan support for the women's game in India, to make the WIPL profitable from the first year itself. We'll get to know the full picture once the auction for franchises is completed. There is a good chance that the final price may be much higher than what the BCCI has as the reserve. Already a lot of sponsors and advertisers are lining up for the first edition of the WIPL. And don't expect multi-million salaries that the players enjoy in the IPL. For the WIPL, salaries will be much lower.

I guess yesterday BCCI made some changes in their rules regarding base price, now i suppose it's not fixed at 400cr, it could be less. There are not much details but they are not doing e-auction. The last info i had yesterday was that they are not going with the e-auction for teams, for players they are considering a draft base system (it's already in the public record).

Not sure about the last decade but 2017-18 was a good time as Indian Women team did an excellent job reaching the finals

Slowly and steadily they will win this race because this slow style is culture of the subcontinent they never love to give their best for the projects which are helpful for the common peoples and have hope of good future I personally have experience of many things like these when we need to do some quick work then we have to face many on and off the field issues but at the end good thing now we are near this historic event which will bring big change for the game of cricket and surely revolutionary change in women's cricket in India.

If already established franchise will take teams then surely this will give some good help for both parties, and we will be able to have first seasoned quickly without any big hassle.

Honestly, right now India has a lot of support for women cricketers. And that support is increasing day by day. But when the WIPL takes place, let me tell you that not a lot of people are going to come to that matches consistently.

Probably a few people are going to come for the first few matches. Probably because it’s the first women’s IPL. And probably there will be people for the final. But I don’t think the attendance is going to be consistent, or I should say, consistently high like the men’s IPL.

The first T20 match between New Zealand women's team and Bangladesh women's team was played today in Christchurch. The series will consist of three T20 and three ODI matches. In the first match, New Zealand set a target of 165 for the loss of just 3 wickets. That's a good enough collection to win against a team like Bangladesh. And I was sure that New Zealand would win easily. But I don't expect the Bangladesh team to bat so badly. Bangladesh Women's team batted 14.5 overs. But their total collection is only 32 runs. The Bangladesh team was defeated by a margin of 132 runs. Bangladesh lost the first 5 batsmen by just 12 runs.

This was a really bad performance from the Bangladesh women’s team. They should have done better. No, let me rephrase, they should have done much better. This performance shows how far the Bangladesh women’s team still has to go. And I honestly think that this evening from Bangladesh women’s cricket team has to be up there for the lowest total in T-20 cricket.

After a devastating loss like this, will the Bangladesh women’s team be able to make a comeback?

I really don’t think so. They might give their opponent a hard fight, but do they want to be able to win?

In the 2nd T20 match New Zealand Women vs Bangladesh Women batting first, New Zealand Women scored 148 runs in 20 overs. And they lost 4 wickets. The runs scored by New Zealand Women seems to be a tough fight between the two teams. Now  If New Zealand Women can take the wickets of Bangladesh Women's good batsmen then New Zealand Women will have a chance to win this match.

Bangladesh has not made any progress in women's cricket. In response to the New Zealand women's 144 runs, the Bangladesh women's team failed to win the match losing all their wickets for 111 runs. Most of the player failed to collect comparatively good score but only Nigar Joty was able to score 32 runs and that was the highest score from Bangladesh women's team. He managed to score 32 runs. She was run out by G Plimmer to send her back. In the end the New Zealand women's team got a big win by 37 runs.

Indian Women cricket could be good and improved still possible to lost against any team because we all know this is funny game and every thing can happen with any team here I agreed about few facts but with the not domestic infrastructure and facilities these teams are giving good performance and hopefully this will change, and these teams will also improve in quality and performance as now we are watching Bangladesh women's team in playing into New Zealand and Ireland women's team visits Pakistan means things are changing in this region and improvement is foreseeable.

Well.. I am not going to disagree. Even the Indian men's team have failed to win the T20 world cup for quite some time, despite playing in the IPL. Money power alone will guarantee wins in T20 format. And meanwhile India is going ahead with plans for the WIPL, the other teams will also try to improve their domestic structure as far as the women's game is concerned. And foreign players will feature in the WIPL, despite the fact that it is being organized by the BCCI. So overall it is not doom and gloom for the teams other than India.

There is no doubt that the prime time of Bangladesh cricket is behind them. It was from the year 2014 to 2019.
At that time, Bangladesh was improving very quickly in cricket. Regardless of whether they were men or women, they were playing really well.

Correctly, that was the time when the Bangladesh women's cricket team brought home the women's Asia Cup trophy.
And in 2014, Bangladesh qualified for the quarter-finals of the World Cup competition for the first time.

But right now the situation in Bangladesh cricket is not encouraging at all. And I think that reflects in the performance of the Bangladesh cricket team.
