Just when it looked like Pakistan was about to win, they lost their star batsman Haris Sohail. Wanindu Hasaranga got him out after a well made 50. Pakistan needs 54 runs from 29 balls, and the required run rate has now climbed to 11.3 runs per over. I would say that right now Sri Lanka is having the upper hand (you guys can disagree with me, but I am saying because I have seen Pakistan choking during similar situations earlier). Imad Wasim and Sarfaraz Ahmed are out there, and both of them are not in good form at the moment.

110/5. Just 15 balls and more than 40 runs to score finally a sigh of relief. I think the problem is with the top order of Pakistan who are unable to play as per the pace of game or maybe just sheer badluck for them that they were put to bowl first? I never expected Pakistan would have been clean sweeped in this series. I think the ahmed Shahzad and umar akmal experiment failed terribly for Pakistan. Misbah-ul-Haq has a lot of questions to answer.

Pakistan showed their true color in the end  , after loosing the first wicket they played really well and scored runs without loosing much wicket and now they have lost 6 wickets all of a sudden and it looks like an impossible total as all their batting power are in the pavilion, Sri Lanka is ready to white wash the series and they are bowling really well and their fielding and catching were impressive as well.

Can international cricket get anymore unpredictable than this? I don't remember anyone predicting a series victory for Sri Lanka for the T20I matches. The best prediction was 1-2 loss to Pakistan. And they performed beyond everyone's expectation and won the series 3-0. Not just "won", but clean swept the series. And that too with some of their key players missing from the squad.

It is unbelievable. Even now, Pakistan is the no.1 T20 side if you trust the ICC rankings. And a below strength Sri Lankan side have beaten them 3-0, at their own backyard. Now the dilemma will start for the Sri Lankan selectors. Are they going to stick with the squad that achieved something this much exceptional, or are they going to go back to the regular squad?

Hold your horses' mate. The match ain't over till the last ball is delivered. Pakistan has a history of making a mess out of small run chases and i can bet this won't be so different...

Haha exactly and we are only at 4th over with only 12 runs so far scored. Sri Lankan's are bowling very well. It's not gonna be easy for Pakistan even if somehow they manage to win.

I had only one hope that your bet will save Pakistan today, but even then they lost. This shows how bad they played.

LOL yeah! I got that you meant. But this is Pakistan mate. You can not predict anything about them. But to be honest the result was this match was predicted. It was clear to me after watching the last match that Sri Lanka is a better team. After seeing them batting first, I was very sure that they will be winning even tough they were scoring slow.

I think PCB should think it's better to play the series in UAE

This Pakistan team may need a fix. Emotionally they are not fit to be honest.

The answer is that the team is Pakistan and they are well known for their unreliable performance. In one match they will perform like the world champions, and still they can lose the next match to teams such as Kenya or Scotland. There is no dearth of talent in Pakistan and probably they have the second largest player pool (after India). But they are not being able to convert these to their advantage.

That said, there will be a group of people who will be more disappointed than the Pakistanis right now. I am talking about players such as Dinesh Chandimal, Akila Dananjaya, Dimuth Karunaratne and Suranga Lakmal, who refused to travel to Pakistan giving pathetic excuses. Many of these players will come under pressure now, as the youngsters have performed exceptionally well.

Really LOL!  Its not whitewash its called Lanka Wash . I did not expect that Pakistan who is the Number 1 ranked team in T20 will white wash by Sri Lanka. Pakistan should win at least one match.

You already mention its typical Pakistani style and other thing no something wrong too many wrong things in Pakistan cricket even we have new management but many old and stupid peoples still envolve and they are playing games outside ground which are hurting too much and they will hurt as well in future.

I'd not agree with that. Pakistanis might be well-known for their unreliable performance in cricket, but that unreliability has always remained within the two formats: test and ODIs. If we take a look at the track record of the T20s, then the Pakistani team has consistently scored and won the matches. However, this Sri Lankan tour changed it all. I don't remember ever seeing Pakistan's T20 squad being this bad; something has terribly gone wrong, and I guess it has something to do with Misbah. Since he has been hired for the next 3 years, I hope that he doesn't repeat the same mistakes again.

I am not sure whether Misbah alone was behind the decision to drop Fakhar Zaman for the first T20 match, but it was one of the horrible mistakes that they made. They replaced him with Ahmed Shehzad, and he had such a pathetic performance. They brought back Fakhar for the second T20, but his morale was down after being dropped earlier (and he performed exceptionally well during the ODI series). I guess had Fakhar opened the batting with Babar Azam for the first match, the outcome would have been different. The first match was very crucial and Sri Lanka gained the upper hand by winning it. Another poor decision was with the inclusion of Umar Akmal. I don't understand why he was called back all of a sudden.

Good choice, the odds for SL winning the final T20 is still good even though they don't give 5x or 6x now. But I'm planning to bet on Pak if they bat first and if any site gave a 2xodds. As of now, the odds are less than 1.5 

I was lucky that the odds for Pak was not greater than 2x and didn't bat first. Otherwise, I would have lost some btc. Now I believe that even if Pak batted first they wouldn't have made any difference. Overall a poor performance from the team.

The T20 series was a big mistake for Pakistan   , i thought that Pakistan will play well and i never considered this kind of performance from Sri Lanka as the entire media was telling about the B team being sent because of security issues and with the T20 world cup coming up and the T20 ranking will not make you think twice.

Now I believe that even if Pak batted first they wouldn't have made any difference. Overall a poor performance from the team.

Even if Pakistan won all the toss i do not see any change in results as Sri Lanka demolished them in grand fashion and exposed the Pakistan team.

Followed the 1st match only and am surprised to hear that Pakistan screwed up so badly in their own backyard. Who would have expected a young Sri Lankan team to defeat the mighty experienced Pakistan team so badly?

I read so many posts about people declaring that Pakistan would easily defeat Sri Lanka and I wonder what they are thinking right now. This is why you cannot be 100% sure about any result in sports matches people(This is how sportsbooks stay in profit). Players like Hasaranga made the difference in this one. Well done Sri Lanka!

Pakistan still retains the no.1 ranking for T20, but the 0-3 whitewash by Sri Lanka is going to leave them volte-faced. This is yet another example to prove the argument that in international cricket, you can't take any opponent for granted, what many advantages you have. You can't even take teams such as Scotland and Netherlands for granted in T20 (as England found out multiple times), and I guess Sri Lanka is a step ahead of these teams.

But my personal opinion is that this tour was a grand success. The first match was washed out, but the remaining ones got completed without a single issue. The crowd participation was fantastic and even the Sri Lankan players acknowledged the sporting behavior of the crowd during the post-match presentation ceremony. I hope that now the PCB can get more tours from the other nations.

You can't even take teams such as Scotland and Netherlands for granted in T20 (as England found out multiple times), and I guess Sri Lanka is a step ahead of these teams.

This proves that when it comes to T20 matches you can underestimate any teams and it is very difficult to wage a bet on any team, i never expected a white wash in the T20 format considering the rankings and no one would believe if someone said that Srilanka will win a single match at the start of the series let alone a washout. I wonder what the odds would have being for Srilanka winning all the matches.

I hope that now the PCB can get more tours from the other nations.

That is really doubtful as majority of the teams will not be bold enough to tour Pakistan.

Well.. no one can blame a particular team if they refuse to tour Pakistan. Terrorist attacks do happen in that country frequently. And Pakistan is not one of the top 3 countries in cricket for other nations to think about the revenue loss if they don't tour that country. Even many of the star Sri Lankan players had opted out of the tour due to security concerns.
