Still, at the same time in the next decade they need to beat top teams on a regular basis too, and not just when conditions are favorable to them but in alien conditions too. Bongbros are just freefalling and it seems they don't have any answers.

Although the national team is not playing very frequently, Afghan players are very popular with franchise T20 leagues and they usually have a very busy schedule. That seems to have helped, given that T20 format was used for this edition of the Asia Cup. On the other hand, Bangladesh doesn't play T20 matches very regularly. Only a few of their players are active in the T20 leagues. Compared to other formats, ODI is their preferred one. Anyway there is no doubt that Bangladesh (as well as Sri Lanka) is on freefall now.

IMO despite SL losing against Afghanistan, in recent times SL has shown a fair amount of improvement with their young team so I won't put their name in the same bracket as Bongs.

They are already in the super four and they might play with either India or Pakistan. I am pretty sure this Afghanistan team will give a hard time to either of the team. Their bowling has improved a lot and that can become a pain for both India and Pakistan. I also feel after the Asia cup a few of their bowlers might get selected for the next IPL season too.

Among the batsmen, I have noticed players such as Rahmanullah Gurbaz (IPL, SLPL, PSL & BPL)  and Najibullah Zadran (CPL, PSL, SLPL, BPL, GLT20.etc) participating in the T20 leagues. A lot of young Afghan players are now part of the franchise leagues. And unlike the other cricket boards, the Afghan board doesn't create any issue for their players regarding NOC and other formalities. They understand that these players don't have much of a chance to get match practice at home. Also, the central contracts are not worth as much as what it is in some of the other countries.

I don't think this is a very easy task. As it turns out it is a bowling pitch. So it is natural that there will be a low scoring match. 127 runs not an easy task especially in such a pitch. Where in the last match, a country like India was almost overwhelmed by the pressure of runs in a low scoring match. So any thing can be possible.

Afghanistan proved you completely wrong.  They are already completing the target of 128 runs easily.  I congratulate the Afghanistan team for their outstanding performance.  After Sri Lanka, this win against Bangladesh also gives them confidence to maintain their good position.  And it is being noticed that Afghanistan are can't be underestimated in the T20 format.

If Bangladesh could have scored 150 runs, it seems that the game with Afghanistan would have intensified.  But Bengal country is playing such a bad game which is beyond words.  Mahmudullah scored 25 runs off 27 balls.  If everyone had run out like him then Bangladesh would not have played like this.  I think this happened due to some mistakes of Bangladesh.

If Bangladesh could have scored 150 runs, it seems that the game with Afghanistan would have intensified.  But Bengal country is playing such a bad game which is beyond words.  Mahmudullah scored 25 runs off 27 balls.  If everyone had run out like him then Bangladesh would not have played like this.  I think this happened due to some mistakes of Bangladesh.

And despite the loss yesterday, I still believe that Bangladesh has a better chance. Sri Lanka do have some promising young players, but they are unable to perform as a team. Bangladesh lost the match yesterday, because their bowling was an utter failure during the depth overs. Apart from that phase, they were ahead of Afghanistan during most of the duration. And it is surprising, because bowlers such as Mustafizur and Taskin are usually very good during depth overs.

And in terms of quality, as far as I know they are much below other associate sides such as Scotland and Namibia. This is going to be a completely one-sided match. And in case Hong Kong bats first, then the match will be over within 1-1.5 hours.

What a performance by Afghanistan, their biggest strength was their bowling but as of yesterday's match their lower order batsmen performed so well. They can hit big sixes in the slog overs this shows now Afghanistan is a complete team and trust me they will give a tough competition to India and Pak as well it's not going to be a cakewalk for them to win the match against them. If it won't be an Ind vs Pak final then other 3rd favourite team is only and only Afghanistan.

I think Shakib knows his batsmen very well. Had Afghanistan batted first and given a target of 170/180, Bangladesh would have been badly beaten. This is why Shakib decided to bat first. This decision is for the Bangladesh team. If Bangladesh were able to collect like 140 they could have won this match.
I think Bangladesh and Afghanistan from Group B will qualify for the next round. Bangladesh's performance is better than Sri Lanka's team. If the batsmen of Bangladesh are able to perform a bit better in the next match, then they will easily win against Sri Lanka.

No team will be able to win the match if they play with such low mentality. Bangladeshi players start their batting by being nervous, which is the main reason for their worst batting performance in T20 matches. Recently Bangladesh has lost ODI and T20 series against Zimbabwe. Where Sri Lanka has played better against strong opponents in the last few matches. In my view, Bangladesh has very low possibility to win the match. The betting odds is also in favour of Sri Lanka.
