Given the current form of the Bangladesh team, the loss to Pakistan was not surprising. On the other hand, the Pakistani players are in top form (especially their batsmen). And it looked as if some of the Bangladeshi players didn't had enough match practice. Mustafizur Rahman was very wayward as well as expensive. The same was true for Hasan Mahmud as well. I find Bangladesh to be good in bowling, restricting Pakistan at 167 runs. The target could've been reached if the opening order batsmen of Bangladesh have played better. For Bangladesh, the bottom players have done well. If Litton have scored little more the match could've come into the hands of Bangladesh.

In the match of Australia vs West Indies, target of 178 is set for West Indies. Soon the innings will start and there is chance of win for West Indies.

Warner once Again proved to be trump card for Australia as he is the only one who scored most of the runs along with David. Its a good practice match for WI as they have to play upcoming T20 WC here too. Performance of WI in both matches is not up to the mark.

This T20 series is proving to be fatal for the Westindies side. 178 was a target that can be chased. I mean what can get wrong with the Westindies batter, they were struggling to hit like a bunch of ameature.

West Indies managed to score only 145 runs in the first match. In today's match, West Indies collected only 148 runs. West Indies batsmen are not playing well. Due to this, they lost both matches. No West Indies batsman could stay at the crease for long. If a batsman could play an innings of 40-50 runs, then the West Indies team might have been able to win today's match. Despite having many T20 specialist batsmen in the West Indies squad, they are not able to play well. If the batsmen lose form like this before the World Cup, it does not seem that they will be able to play well in the World Cup.

Bangladesh lost against Pakistan by 21 runs. We know the Bangladesh team is weak in the T20 format. But I wouldn't say that their performance was bad. Pakistan set a target of 168 runs. Apart from Mustafiz and Hasan Mahmud, the performance of Bangladesh's bowlers was quite good. Taskin managed to pick up two wickets for just 25 runs.

As usual, the performance of the batsmen of the Bangladesh team was very poor. Apart from Yasir Ali and Liton Das, I don't think any batsman's performance is good. If the performance of the batsmen does not improve and consistency does not come, then Bangladesh will not be able to win a single match in the next World Cup.

The real test of the Pakistan team will be againist New Zealand as NZ are most strongest in thier home ground.

Finally this has turned to be the day of Pakistan. India Women wasn't able to reach the target of 137 runs. This is a big turnaround in the Asia Cup, India lost all its wickets for 124 runs. The scoring between the two teams haven't got much difference. There is no big number for India as 56 runs from Nida Dar of Pakistan.

What happened to the Pakistan women team today  

No one expected them to win but it seems all the Pakistani women's cricket members got the soul "Super Women" and they beat Indian in the Asia cup.  
Again i didn't watch the match because I thought that we will lose but today was our lucky day.

I still don't expect anything big from the Pakistan team but at least they have something to be proud as they beat one of the best women's team in the world. I hope this confidence of today's win will bring new era in the team.

What many were saying is that Went Indies is still unable to return to his old form. The performance that they are doing this time means that they have no chance of winning the World Cup. Well upsets do happen and this is an example how an underdog team wins. I told yesterday that Pakistan betting odds were over 7 and you can take a risk with little amount.

It is really disappointing that a team like West Indies is struggling in T20 cricket. Chris Gayle, Pollard, Bravo were once the bedrock of the West Indies team and a dangerous T20 team to face. Their retirement, loss of form has made West Indies a poor team today. Even in the last World Cup, they could not do anything well and looking at the current performance, it can be assumed that they will have to struggle in the next World Cup and will not get good results for sure.

In Pakistan's historic victory against India, Nida Dar has named Player of the Match. I would have to say that Pakistan's bowlers dominated Indian batters and won this match. It was a superb inning from Richa Ghsh for his team, but today Pakistan women played brilliantly as well. Congratulations to Pakistan's ladies.

If you look at the odds before the match it was a major upset, i did not expect Pakistan Women to defeat India Women but all the credit goes to Nida Dar who scored a quick fire 56 runs and then Aiman Anwer bowled a tight spell and all the bowlers were economical.

You cannot completely ignore West Indies because they came to the 2012 T20 World Cup not in the best of form and lost to Sri Lanka in all the matches they played earlier and then went on to win the final against Sri Lanka, the same in the 2016 World Cup where they lost against Afghanistan in the initial rounds and then went on to win the final, so you cannot underestimate them.

This was actually not a very good target from Pakistan. A T20 match is not something you can go to bat first and just collect 116 runs and think that you will be able to win with that. In spite of that, I still expected that Pakistan would be able to win this match, as it is Pakistan versus Thailand.
However, this was not the case at all. After a nail-biting finish, Thailand was able to come away with the victory in this match. In my opinion, this is yet another slap in the face to those people who thought that Pakistan should have a chance at a certain ICC women's cricket tournament just because they are ahead in terms of their rankings.

In women's cricket, the average totals are much lower when compared to what we have with the men's game. And whether the target is enough or not will depend a lot on the opponent and the pitch conditions. For example, during the 2003 world cup, India was bowled out for a total of just 204 by the Netherlands. But still India won the match by a big margin, because the Dutch batsmen didn't had the capability to chase down such a target against the experienced Indian bowlers. The pitch also played it's part by making life difficult for the batsmen (from either sides).

I think that these are two very different games we are talking about. The match I am talking about is a T20 match and the match you are talking about was a 50 overs match. And you know that T20 is very different from ODI. Players can play fearlessly in T20 because you get the same 10 wickets and you have to play only 20 overs. But in ODI you have to play 50 overs with the same 10 wickets. So, it is easier to score runs in T20 compared to ODI. 

Yes, a lot depends on the pitch. I also agree that the average total of women's cricket is lower compared to men's cricket. But that does not mean scoring 116  in a T20 match is going to be suddenly enough. It was a low score from Pakistan which they were not able to defend.

The past few matches have seen where Bangladeshi cricketers have no confidence. Moreover, there have been many discussions to talk about their board issue. There may also be a silent war with many of their players and board members. Moreover, their senior players have retired from cricket very quickly. This was also a big problem for them. However, they are far behind now, so Bangladesh cricket will need more time to get back to its former position.

After losing against Thailand, it was a good comeback from Pakistan Women's team. They really outplayed our girls in all departments.

Although they were a bit lucky today due to Umpiring. Especially Pakistani skipper Bismah Maroof when she survived the LBW appeal which was dead plumb. She was about to walk but Umpire turned down the appeal and then She and Nida saved the ship, Nida Dar was amazing. Guess there are no DRS facilities in Asia Cup which is bad.
