This amount will definitely make a meaningful investment, which is if you invest in the right coin and you are able to keep yourself updated on those coins. Well, if for example you have 1000, then buy 15-20 percent now the cryptocurrency that you like , I would advise the top 20, then the coins are very strong and are unlikely to give you a minus in the future

EOS and ripple don't seem to be suitable for newbies. for beginners it's too risky to invest in ripple and EOS. we must that the ripple is very vulnerable to manipulation and EOS is still inferior to ethereum.

I would suggest BTC, ETH, LTC maybe half and then with the other half spend some time checking out some of the other alt coins out there.  I would stay away from ICOs and focus more on coins that are already in existence.
