Bitcoin and Ethereum, that's if you are new to crypto space. There are other coins and tokens to buy but I'm not a financial advisor and won't mention them. To be on the safe side, get BTC and  ETH.

Ive never bought any coins before and am considering opening an account while the coins are low

How would you invest $1000 - 2000

Thanks

If you never bought any cryptocurrency, i suggest you to learn about the cryptocurrency value in the market first.
Cryptocurrency price is not stable as stocks, so maybe you will having gain or loss in the near time after you buy them.
$1000 - $2000 is enough to buy some good coins / tokens like BTC, LTC, ETH or BNB.

in my candid opinion, i will say you do your own research and find out what coin and what projects you fill and perceive will be great in the future as it is not about the adverts or another persons advice. you have to convince yourself and know that it is solely your research that is giving you the confidence in the investment you want to consider.

My tips if you are real newbie and have such capital, you can try to invest into top 10 or top 50 coin. Then make a daily trade with it and don't forget to read the news about them from their social network and telegram groups. From profit or loss in daily trade, I am sure you will enhance your level about trade.

In such questions, many people always try to answer unequivocally in the top100 coins that you can find on the coinmarketcap resource, although there are still no guarantees because everything is falling in price. Therefore, everything is not easy.

I think any coin can be made an investment for beginners, especially now that the coin price has fallen and there has been no significant increase, but you still need to be able to analyze the good coins, because not all coins are worth investing in.

Top 100 is a kind of guarantee of reliability, but not a guarantee that the money invested will bring profit, you need to analyze and choose the most promising coins, which even in a weak market can be a pleasant surprise

I will still suggest bitcoin for beginners, they can still buy a small amount for their 1st investment, an amount that they can afford to lose just to try first if they think bitcoin investing is actually good for them and better to read a lot here in forum under Bitcoin discussion or Altcoin Discussion to know more about coins that it is affordable but worth your investment.

Because you're a beginner, it's better to first learn about trading.
So we're not going to fall prey to scammers who are now scattered. It is better to invest in top coins today especially in bitcoin, ethereum. Here we can be assured that our investment will not be lost and we will have the opportunity to earn a great deal here.

For beginners, I think a good investment is a coin that has a large volume. Like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP, some of these coins are very good and worth buying. If you experience difficulties in trading every day, of course, you can invest for the long term.

bitcoin or another coins in market actually could give us profit if we know how to buy and when to buy it.and to know about it we must have speciall skills in analizing coins.and our experience will help us about it.

When it involves real money the only person I feel comfortable giving advice to is myself.

That being said, I think from a beginner's perspective definitely check out Brave browser for free download here ----> https://brave.com , 1st, Internet browser is something everyone knows, it's a technology beginners can take a test drive, kick the wheels and feel comfortable doing so, 2nd the Brave browser comes with many privacy & security features baked in, security plays hand in hand with crypto and many of these features are enabled by default to help protect and secure a beginner from some less desirable aspects of modern Internet, 3rd after install Brave browser transfers a free grant of 40 BAT (Basic Attention Coin) into the browsers built-in wallet, grant tokens can be tipped however the user desires as reward for content providers participating in program, for a beginner you get technology you know, introduction to tokens & wallets, a small stash of real cryptocurrency and the opportunity to use and experience cryptocurrency in a live environment all at no cost.  I would say only cost is time, but Brave browser will speed up Internet times vs competing browsers & tracks this time-saved feature for users on its landing page.

For me, this is how I'd do it as a beginner, baby steps.

For a beginner, definitely it will be bitcoin and ethereum. Those cryptos are already proven and been in the market for a long time. Its less risky compares to other crypto. If you are really a risk taker, then thats the time you can consider altcoins or tokens in ICOs.

Well it is a good thing to invest in coins especially now that prices are low, but as a beginner I would advice you to understand  how crypto works before buying any coin,  if you understood  already good,  now do some research on some of the coins you likely might want to buy,  the aim of the project,  the team backing up the project, the activeness of the team.  These can help you in deciding on which coin to buy. Good luck
