Possible.
In my little experience in US Politics Mike has no chance: @77 years old is 4 years senior than Trump, the eldest President. In 2021 at the possible time of inauguration he will be almost 79: really?

I'm reading a lot of mixed predictions regarding Bloomberg. Some predict that he's just going to throw so much money at it that he'll replace & beat Biden, therefore winning the primary. The media certainly loves him. But I don't see it. He's apparently going to try running as a "better Biden", but he actually has a weird mixed record containing right-wing, ultra-left-wing, and ultra-authoritarian elements. He can be attacked a lot from both the right and left. I tend to think he'll go nowhere, like Steyer, but my uncertainty on this is high at this point.

Yeah. With a little whittling, you might be able to turn a tree stump into a chair. But who would want to sit on Biden like that!?

One good thing about Bloomberg is, due to his status as already having much more money than he can spend in his grandchildren's lifetimes, he is not subject to the same type of corruption as most Democratic politicians (see the Clinton foundation, Obama book and Netflix deals, Biden Ukraine deals, and more). He is much more moderate than anyone currently in the race polling over 2%.

Bloomberg can also survive getting past the lack of early primary success because he can self-finance his campaign, which may give him a shot of picking up many votes once the crowd of candidates thins out. His candidacy may also be intended to try to pull other candidates closer to the middle rather than moving so far left that Obama looks like a member of the Alt-Right.

No one currently in the race has any realistic chance of winning the general election, and whoever gets the nomination may actually hurt Dems in down ballot elections due to being so extreme on so many issues.

The fix to this is to lay out all the candidates on a row of operating tables, and start cutting off pieces and putting them together, until finally they have a stitched together product that resembles the Ideal Democratic Candidate. It can have a couple of heads, and I would imagine it would certainly have four legs.

I knew Bloomberg was rich but didn't realize till now that he's worth over 50 billion.  Holy shit.

Unrelated, but I am very impressed with Mayor Pete.  (I know his chances are slim to get the nomination) He's rational, willing to admit mistakes without hesitation and able to form coherent sentences.

He'd also make a great VP candidate for the Pete Pence debate alone.

Actually, store coupons are private money being used publicly. There are toothpicks or matchsticks in private poker games. If a store chain started a Private Membership Association where only members could shop, it could use private money exclusively. It would be able to give free money to everyone it wanted to.

"Bloomberg Officially Files Paperwork For 2020 Presidential Primary"

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/bloomberg-officially-files-paperwork-2020-presidential-primary

Once Biden drops out, Killery will show up too, and Bloomberg will do the hand off endorsement to her last minute.

Agreed, this looks like a probable strategy. At the end it's gonna be Killary again (assuming she'll be able to drink enough terrified baby blood to keep herself standing for sufficiently long periods required for the debates), simply because Biden and Sanders are too old and none of the others are electable -- see e.g. Styx's analysis on why Warren is unelectable (also touches on Butthurtgig).

There's Killary, Bloomberg, and potentially Oprah and Michael Obama, no one else stands a chance (i.e. won't get MSM and DNC support). Oh wait, don't forget Jeb Bush! Wink

Of course, if there was a shred of decency or sanity in the DNC and MSM, the nominee would be Russian stooge Tulsi Gabbard.

His candidacy may also be intended to try to pull other candidates closer to the middle rather than moving so far left that Obama looks like a member of the Alt-Right.

Good points, I think Bloomberg might be able to be presented as a moderate, but he's got a history of authoritarianism on the level of Killary or Kamala Harris. He's the kind of guy who'll hire corrupt mayors out of jail to join his gun control activist groups that use highly deceptive tactics (lies) like vastly inflating school shooting numbers. New Yorkers seem to be aware that he is clearly a tyrant who ruled with an iron fist (click to see the things he banned in NYC!!), for 12 years, a fact so obvious to those who experienced his rule that even leftists/MSM-believers at the HuffingPaintPost agree.

FACT: There were hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths by December 2020 due to the censorship of all effective treatments (most notably ivermectin) in order to obtain EUA for experimental GT spike protein injections despite spike bioweaponization patents going back about a decade, and the manufacturers have 100% legal immunity despite long criminal histories.

To be honest, I see a very conflicting run for whoever is a democrat in the US. I'm not from there personally but I find it ironic how the last election's runner-up candidate (Bernie) is a democratic socialist, while this year so far in the polls his percentages keep looming around Biden and Warren, two establishment-friendly politicians that have conflicting positions even within their own platform. If I was a democrat I'd be split between Bernie who's known to be honest in his voting record and also adamant with his positions, and the lesser of two evils between establishment candidates that have better chances to take the lead (as Hilary did).

^^^ Right! As someone said in a different post, by the time impeachment process of the Donald gets moving (provided there really is one), it will be a long time after the election before Trump actually gets impeached. And by then He will be in his second term, and things will have changed drastically for the country.

The Dems don't stand a chance in the election, no matter who runs.

If they work real fast, they might be able to give an AI legal status, and run it.

There's a very good chance Trump will be impeached by mid January, maybe even before Christmas.

You mean, so the Senate can run it's version of "Trumpo Peachy" through the election run up? Man that is the dumbest timing on the part of the dumbest Democrats Schiff to hit the fan.
