What would you do to recover your losses?

If a certain trade didn't worked out for you, then it is always better to forget about it and move on. While investing, there should not be any emotional baggage attached to the assets. If you become emotional, then you will be unable to make the right decisions at the right time, and in the end you will make mistakes. So IMO, just forget about "recovering the losses" and instead concentrate on your set targets, such as 20% annual profit or 2% monthly profit if you are in to trading.

if not, I will move assets to ETH or BTC.

You are not alone, I have a lot of ICO tokens as well that is almost worthless as of now.
Though I love to move it in a more liquid assets and more popular, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to see it all as the trading volume is very low.

I am averaging  by inverting in every lower low in btc and ETH to recover my previous loss

My strategy is that I need to check if what I hold still profits me. I need to know if holding that altcoin will give me dividends or can be stake/stack. I never sold altcoins that gives this kind of benefit like $TELE from MIRACLE TELE, $BOLD from Boldman Capital and $CMA from Coinmarket Alert. These three ERC20 tokens sends me a bi-weekly income and monthly income just by holding them. I get EUROS bi-weekly from $TELE. I get ETHER from $BOLD every first week of the month and more $CMA from holding $CMA. Going back to the topic, second thing I look at if they don't give me monlty/bi-weekly profit is the project itself. Is the project still functioning? Does it have a high liquidity of at least 10 BTC per day? I check the road maps and its recent news. Maybe there is a mainnet launch coming which may give a boost in the price so better hold it. Last thing I check is the number of wallet holding the altcoin and the number of transfers from one wallet to another. If I notice that there are only a few people who got interest to it, then better sell it because Im pretty sure it's going to die anytime soon. That's 95% sure!

Almost all investors experience the same thing, I also lost more than $ 2000 for 2 coins, BCH and ETH, but I still believe that the market can recover soon and make my money back again.

Don't every try chasing your losses as in never do that and only take away the learnings from your mistake. Because if you do, then your emotion will drive you much more aggressive in trading. If I'm in your position, I will a fresh  start and then take it slowly to ensure my gains instead of losing much more.

And mistakes only happens when we go wrong in market like we buy at green and sell at panic, so it is our mistake but learning from it makes us internally stronger and gives us strength to hold and buy on right time then we can recover our lose but it may take time, till then you will have to wait with patience and try not to sell until the price rises.

It seems to me that first of all you need to decide on your activities, since daily trading can bring a certain income. But the fact is that selling and earning with the help of the difference in price is necessary only for those coins that have a certain stability in price fluctuations. Losing 90% of the portfolio will leave great regret and despair, personally I myself will choose to invest in the token sale because I will feel a little traumatized to continue trading and need more time to be able to start all market research again.

It is generally said that money is used to chase money or make more money. By extension of that, it implies that you have to simply put in more investment to enable you recover for the lost period.

It's so sad when one is on a loss but at this situation, you have to hold your coins that is almost worthless, wait for it's recovery, in my opinion, I think you should start afresh by investing in good coins that have lost it's  value and then wait for profit.

but if we find another coin that has the same price but has more potential to go up then we should exchange it for another coin because it is difficult for a coin that has gone down deep enough to rise again unless there is a large pump from the investor.

i buy more at dips because i believe that we will have another bullish market in the next coming months or years. i don't have a big capital but i am very picky on choosing altcoins which is i think that have a big potential to grow in the long run.

Returning a loss now is the right time. The price of all coins is now starting to grow and you can invest. In the past few weeks, market prices have risen and Bitcoin is able to pump, though not high. But this has a very positive impact.

Holding for a long term is not a solution to retrieve your losses, you might just add more more percentage to lose, what you need is an income that will going to supply you more of that particular cryptocurrency you are pertaining to. Trade also might do as well, risky but if you have more time to take part into, then go for it.

One thing I can add is to provide your own services (Anything that is in your forte) and get paid in crypto.

I think that is like something impossible (or very very hard), I invested some coins in 2018, and now I only have 400USD now (I invested 25K), so only when I get 60X then I recover the loss...

So if I invest Bitcoin/Ethruem, then it is not possible to make it, I can only risk investing Alts, like what I did last days for OCX/RVN/MITH/SHE/TRX/HTA, while I bought at the peak and I lost even more, now only 250USD... Lucky is that I never invest more, or I will lose everything.

So be cautious, please at most use 1/5 of your money on this, and even you lost all, you can still accept...
