You can't just say to find the better strategy if you don't even know what that is :^). Everyone has their own strategy and probably it wouldn't work for some people and vice versa.

well I lose my money when the market was down, but it's ok it just small amount that I lose. If that happens to me losing big amount of money maybe I just keep hold and buy some more, waiting to recover the market again.

You are lucky that you lost only small amount of money but there are so many people who lost because they make mistakes they sell for panic and never wait for the price to be high, so if you made any mistake in past make sure not to repeat the same in future, try to buy some coins at low price then hold all of them until the price recovers.

Yes thats right. A rising tide lifts all ships, then again at low tide we all suffer. I think it would be very wise to invest in a broad basket of cryptocurrencies to avoid breaking all the eggs in one crash.

2. Trade off the the altcoins you have for BTC/ETH and invest into that hyped token sale.

These two can be a way out to cover the losses that we have experienced, but so far I have tended to the first choice because it could be that the altcoins we have can be hyped in the future. because after all when we analyze to follow the project carefully and not from the origin and of course the best choice for your token if you experience this you should hold it.

When the market fell quickly, I often sold my Altcoins to cover losses. Then I bought them at a cheaper price, which is a strategy I think you should use. Because when the market recovers your Altcoins will ensure better profitability.

Losses is quite common with cryptocurrencies, diversifying the investments over different altcoins were the best way to recover from the losses. Every altcoin won't experience a fall in the value at same instance. This way it is possible to eliminate the loss. indeed the best choice when the market conditions are falling and you are stuck at an expensive price then you have to be patient and keep calm not to be easily affected as much as possible not to sell the assets you have at cheap prices because surely prices will recover as happened with the price of bitcoin currently recovering even though slowly.
