^^ I would say it was a proper penalty. I understand that we are expecting major stuff in order to call it penalty because that has been what it is like in the past but these days in the past few years, maybe even in the last decade if you want to call it, there are more penalties called because we now realize that it doesn't have to be very dangerous tackle in order to get penalty, the meaning of penalty is basically giving someone punishment for doing something dangerous, by all means we all would rather have a game without any fouls neither, everyone tackling very professionally without doing anything dangerous but we all know that is impossible.

So, these years we see more penalty because defenders do act a bit more reckless and we can't just have injury risk things as penalty, we need to have dangerous moves as well so that when you give penalty players would know not to do it again. I feel like it was justified in that sense, it wasn't an easy call, but it was still a move that shouldn't have been.

It was very light but those sort of penalties are given all the time in the Premier League and they seem to have been a bit more strict in this tournament with not giving them with the exception of that one so I can see why it's controversial. I was expecting VAR to overrule it to be honest.

England only problem is their goalkeeper. That should be your frank point. And that's why I agree if they go to penalties they are more likely to lose.

England's goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is clearly going to win the Golden Gloves award at Euro 2020 after achieving the most clean sheets at the tournament with five matches in a row. I can't see how he could be a problem.

I'm not a big fan of him but he's played well this tournament and surprised me. Shame he conceded as it would have been great to go all the way without letting in a goal, but I think that's more to do with England's defence rather than Pickford but he's done well when called upon. Can't really pick a clear winner for the final. I could see it going all the way to penalties. I think Italy are the better team but the bookies seem to be favouring England. Maybe they have the advantage of playing at home and in front of lots of fans which may spur them on. I'm wondering if Southgate will mix the team up a bit. I'm not sure if he has the balls to but I think Grealish has earned a starting position and I think Foden should be starting as well.

Although England struggled to win in the semifinal against Denmark yesterday, but the English team played quite well and neatly in attack and defense in that match and unlike what happened in the last match the Italian team played quite badly even though in the end they won, I see when the match italy vs spain, the italian players played quite badly and even they often mis-passed the ball at that time and we can see in the first half not even a single italian player kick was aimed at the goal, from that fact makes me very sure that England will won the final match, because indeed the class of England and Italian team games in this year's euros differed quite a lot and it was clear that England played better during this year euro.

Don't think that way. Because, this is final match. I have watched all the matches of Italy. Their gameplay is awesome. They have no chance to call this squad weak. However, I don't think the spectators will do the same thing as in the previous match. It is illegal to win the match in this way. These should not be done in the game.

Previously I thought Italy might still be able to win in the final match later, but after I realized the English team that seemed to have a stronger defense and also, I just realized that England now looks stronger in every line. Also, with the full support of playing at home then I think England will really be champions this time around, considering the aging Italian defender who looks likely to be overwhelmed by England's attacks.

The England fans will be ecstatic as they are in the Euro cup final for the first time and i do not remember when they reached a final in decades and this is the best chance for them to change that history and Harry Kane is the player Italy will be marking and i am expecting Italy to play the same game they played against Spain and i am expecting England to shoot outside the box most of the time .

We all expect to see a lot of action. That is why we love it. 
Despite the fact that football matches don't usually have many goals, they do have a lot of action in both attack and defense, which makes them interesting to watch. Of course, the finals of big competitions are even more attractive because they are loaded with even more emotions.

What is clear is that the English fear Roberto Mancini's Italy and in particular its defensive solidity, combined with Jorginho's strategic acumen and Federico Chiesa's unstoppable speed.
Given what we have seen during Euro2020 the only reason I see England favored by bookmakers is because they play home. In Italy they would have had probably no choice.
Final result of the game? 2-1 or 3-1 for Italy. You will see.
Reading the British press I can definitely say that the LAST opponent they wanted for the final was Italy.
Coach Gareth Southgate defined it as "the most uncomfortable team that could happen to us in the final".

It is a reference to the questionable penalty and how they think that the referee helped England to qualify for the final game. In the other side how Donnarumma was a key player/goalkeeper for Italy. I saw talks about England goalkeeper having better record so he is clearly going to win Golden Gloves. Talking about saves both Italy and England goalkeepers did the same number. In term of punches and penalty saves Donnarumma was better. I think the final game will give a better idea about the winner but I find Donnarumma better.

It depends on which teams are playing this strategy. I remember the times when the confrontations between Real and Barcelona, Inter and Barcelona were held according to this scheme and each match was as interesting as possible. It was during Mourinho's time for the most part. A counterexample is Atletico Madrid - when they play this way, the match usually looks depressing.
