Are there other systems that accomplish the same level of anonymity and decentralization?
No. Your other option is zero-knowledge proofs, which brings its own host of problems.

What exactly are zero-knowledge proofs?

If I had to take a guess, I'd wager it's the basis for zerocash.

One of the reasons why I mine Bytecoin is that it require less energy to mine this coin than Bitcoin.
So, Bytecoin is more ecological coin than BTC. IMO, it's an important advantage in the area when environmental issues have risen to the fore

Agree

Well, nowadays Bytecoin is like Bitcoin in 2009 - it's up to date coin which is true anonymous and recently have got more user-friendly interface with gui wallet.

Technology evolves over time and now there is CryptoNote Technology with its ring signature and private keys which make transactions even more anonymous. Indeed, BCN became more friendly to new users as gui wallet has appeared.

Do you know there is "Cryptonite XCN is the new software for completely anonymous and untraceable transactions" ??

Is that wallet legit?  Don't see much info about it anywhere else.

Edit: Crashes upon opening

GPU Mining in Minergate.com Miner

Hello everybody!

Now GPU mining is available in Minergate  miner.

Keep in mind that it is a beta version. It works with Nvidia and CUDA GPU on Windows only.

Download miner here

https://minergate.com/download/win-gpu-beta
https://minergate.com/download/win32-gpu-beta

Enjoy! Any feedback is welcome:)

It works (BCN/FCN) on my I5-K2500 and EVGA 570, but I think that I will get more h/s with cpuminer-wolf 05/30/2014 and ccminer GPU.

I like Bytecoin (BCN). BYTECOIN.ORG the best to mine with MinerGate

This block chain explorer has pretty good navigation and the interface is nice.
I like there is nothing superfluous that usually makes me confused

I have not had time to read it but I like the sentence: " Bytecoin (BCN) is probably the most prominent one since it was the first coin to have built its architecture around the CryptoNote protocol. "

I am total noob and don't know anything about this, but maybe you all can play with this http://www.gematrix.org

This is funny lol:
135   I am
477   President Obama
340   Image of satan
9      I
1354773409
I am President Obama Image of satan I

i have another option:

it is the epoch time of block 109176,
Code:
"timestamp": 1354773409,
you can add msgs to a block when you've found one
if you want to decode you should look at the github code
search for messages or extra_nonce

which github code?
