The guys who started in 2017 had these dreams and could easily earn 3-10 thousand dollars a month, it was ... but did not last long, and those who waited for even greater market jumps lost even those 3-10 thousand.

I dont know if the idea of buyback at listing is new , some cases have the lowest price at listing except for bear market effect. I expect bounty hunters not to eat everything they earn if they got no job, there are cases hunters can have a reward up to $15000 on a project, It shouldn't be meant for lambo  or gambling if he doesnt have a job. I think there was reasonable dream before bounty opportunity came so such reward should take u there.

For that does not make the bounty hunter work as a bounty hunter because the cryptocurrency market is not stable and there is a lot of risk here. It's a good idea to make bounty hunter and explore it but there is no guarantee that you will earn it because of the new crypto market situation. so find stable income and just make bounty hunter as part time job to earn extra income. And if you are hardworking you can join it because there is a huge potential for cryptocurrency to earn.

Absolutely I agree. In my opinion, bounty campaigns cannot be a full-time normal job. Because you don't know how much you're gonna earn until the end of bounty campaign you've joined. Also you don't know exactly what day the tokens will be sent to you. However, the bounty campaigns you participate may sometimes be canceled. That's why I think we shouldn't see the bounty campaigns as a normal job that because has so much uncertainty. I think bounty campaigns should be an additional income for everyone.

There was a time when you could live off the bounties and almost all ico investments would turn to gold. However, those days are over so at best it is a part time job, mostly though a waste of time

From last year the bounty market has fallen as many coin had turned out to be worthless and due to which it is result in many people losses and waste of time by participation in various bounties campaigns and yielding nothing. Thus now not many are interested in joining them unless they see some future in it.

Good point mate but instead of joining bounties that won't get you anyway or its just trying lucks why not join bounties with no ICO or even premine ? They have better chances of success than ICO bounties ,you get paid you sell if you want

You have right OP, always is better to join bounties and do extra work as a second job. Why? because a job can give a salary every month and you know that an income will come, instead a bounty can't guarantee a fixed income, and can value very low amount of money.

That's very true, Participating in a bounty is certainly no guarantee that every month we can make money. Of course it's very good to make a side job for the bounty. Very risky if you make a bounty for the main job. Everyone can't expect us to get payment from a bounty, of course more is late.

Indeed, Bounty prizes are now not as they used to be so easy to get thousands of dollars, but for the current bounty prize to reach $ 100 alone it's hard to even wait for months.

Of course, you can not be jobless and you can also participate in bounties (only if you have main job). Just be careful to pick a bounty so you won't get scammed.

Though, if you are keen enough to notice and understand campaigns and opportunities, you can get a decent job but the fact that these job cannot be trusted as a mainline activity that will provide you alive, I would still recommend you to find a physical job where you can rely all your physiological needs into, then just think about these bounties as support whenever there comes a time you will need funds.

Project owners can also decide to execute their "reserved rights" by changing the rules at the end of successful campaigns. Rules changes can usually mean bounty rewards are reduced, locked, subjected to uninformed KYC checks, or distributed over a very long period of time.

If you consider all this then you will see that bounty campaigns are a gamble and cannot be always relied on to provide regular income for people participating in it. Those that participated in Deex bounty campaign (which ended in January 2019) are still waiting for their rewards (3 months after) and the devs are not communicating any date for the distribution. If you ask them they will say "soon". They have been saying "soon" since January, by the way. I'm not trying to slander the project or anything. I'm just advising fellow bounty hunters to try to get something else to do that will fetch them money and not to rely too much on bounty campaigns for payments.

Gone are the days when bounty reward can give you a living.  2018 is the start of the decline of bounty campaigns.  Many campaign either needed to wait for several months to get paid or not paid at all.   Aside from that, even though we are paid, another problem  is the value of the reward token.  Majority of these token are worthless so there is no point of cashing out the reward since it will give us almost nothing at all.  

Another thing is the change in rule, I believe only fraud project will change their rule.  Fraud in a sense that they trick people into  joining with a promised reward but changed it at the latter part.  Another thing is the dependency of the reward on the sold token without burning the unsold one.  I have no objection about the reward being dependent on the sold token as long as they burn the unsold token.  That way the owner had kept the value of the promised token and at least fair to the people who advertised their project.

And if you are lazy enough to look for a job, learn how to trade and make it your career.  If you master it, it will even give you more income than an ordinary job.

It is not about laziness from my point of view and there are other ongoing  assumptions in bounty campaigns. First of all, the bounty managers can't do their job properly due to nature of  market or decisions of team.

I'm guessing that a lot of get rich quick become a millionare through crypto noobs read on bitcointalk about people who earned thousands through bounties.
They thought that they could do it too and decided to invest all their time in it.

There are some really important things they didn't consider.
All the bounty hunter profits came from successful ICOs during the biggest bull run in crypto history.
That type of profit is totally unsustainable.

Bounties way back 2016 to 2017 are good one, the weekly BTC campaign are everywhere, majority of altcoin bounties paid  a week or two after their ICO ended , and it was easier to get the coin on an exchange.  We have experienced this kind of environment, and honestly my friend got a 13k USD worth after selling his token on a 2-month bounty campaign (single campaign) during that days.

I agree, never quit your job because bounty campaign are not  meant to replace your day job.

Bounty for me is also an additional income. I until can't leave my main job, because I can't provide my family fully. But I know a few people who live only on profits from the bounty and they do it well.

I don't think anybody here would be relying on 'Bounties' as a full time payment. People have earned a lot through bounties but those days are gone now.
It's so hard now to earn a substantial amount of income through bounties. Payments are not even guranteed in bounties these days.
A person must only be a fool to solely rely on bounty as an income source. Not only bounties but people should not rely on any kind of campaigns which has unstable payments.
It will only make your life miserable.
