Bitcoin price went up to $55k from $52k in only five minutes according to Coinmarketcap. That is just insane. I hope that we are in a bull run and this increase can continue for a long time period.

You seem to be under appreciating the Upward potentiality of this asset class, Rana590.. sure you might end up being correct, and there is another dip, but you better fucking be ready for UP and not just betting (and hopening) on a downity that may well not happen.

I am not saying that we will never be able to get BTC below $55k again but I am saying that we might never be able to get BTC below $55k again....ever.. and that lillie dippening that you are talking about at or near the end of the year may well happen, but it might come down from $300k to $80k.. so yeah, it is feeling like a BIG ASS dip, but there end up being a lot of opportunity costs for those who fail/refuse to sufficiently and adequately prepare themselves for UP because they are dreaming about lower BTC prices (from here) that never end up happening. 

You do what you want, but several times in the past, we have seen such high expectations for down... that end up in tears for those waiting for "another chance to fill their portfolio..blah blah blah."

I believe it would depend on which billionaire who wants to sell before the end of the year, IF there’s such a HODLer-billionaire. Most of them came in during this current bull cycle, and they came to HODL, not BUY and SODL. If many plebs sell because they think the price will drop again, then the billionaires will bid them all out.

Yes all of us does not want to become empty handed. Yes buy low, sell high. Simple but difficult especially to beginners because the time to enter and exit the market is not easy to determine. Anyway, I have checked bitcoin price yesterday and I notice that the price is good and is high. For those who bought last bitcoin last month, and still holding right now, congratulations you already gain profit. I hope bitcoin price continue to go up high until the end of this year.

Yes, this thread is focusing on buying and accumulating BTC and not upon selling, as your post is changing the theme.

Sure, you can do what you want in terms of your choice to sell your BTC and try to time the market.. and a lot of folks have turned into no coiners or way under stocked in BTC (including having way the hell fewer coins than they would have otherwise had) by screwing around with trying to time the market and getting it wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I am not against shaving off some profits on the way up, as long as you already have a lot of BTC, and you are not either screwing around with too much of your BTC stash, and you understand the risk that you may well NOT be able to buy back cheaper than you sold.. in the event that your goal happens to be to buy back cheaper than you sold.

If you invest in BTC for the long term such as 4-10 years or more, it is quite likely that you do not need to get too preoccupied with the ups and downs of the market.. but of course, if you are either a newbie to bitcoin or you are somewhat timid (or unsure about your BTC investment), you may well end up screwing around with trying to time the BTC market and trying to determine what is high or not high and end up with fewer BTC because of your ending up being wrong... and sometimes being wrong 1/10 times is enough to end up screwing you into having fewer BTC than if you had just focused on BTC accumulation in terms of buying rather than incorporating selling into your BTC accumulation strategies.

It seems that you are very optimistic about the price of bitcoin that will not fall below $50K, although I have a little doubt about it, but I applaud your optimism about the price of bitcoin , but I think you should give a few reasons and facts that can strengthen your reasoning about the bitcoin price, so that the members here can see if what you say might come true .

I believe that Wind_FURY has already learned his lesson about being too hyperbolic and certain about some price drop that "will not happen".. in other words, I believe that he is assigning a decently high value to Bitcoin never going below $50k again, but he is doing it in a bit of jest and hopium too.. while still proclaiming that the odds are decently good that something like "never below $50k again" could happen.

You DU18 need to make sure that you are decently prepared for your own expectations, and I have some difficulties understanding why it might be helpful for you to find out why there are decently high levels of conviction that are perhaps higher than your expectations in regards to BTC prices currently being posed for UP rather than down.

I have no problem with guys engaging in various levels of preparations for the possibility for down, but it has been quite problematic, historically, that guys prepare for down without adequately being prepared for UP.. and historically UP has been the killer and recker of a lot of people who are either no coiners, or low coiners.. or maybe have some other issues that are causing them to wait on the sidelines too much.   

We are not going to necessarily come to the same conclusions regarding which direction bitcoin is going in the short term or even in the long term or what kinds of preparations would be prudent and adequate.. so surely in that regard there are a variety of strategies that should be able to help any of us to prepare for either BTC direction and without overly preparing for one BTC price direction while neglecting the other - since in the end, we can only gauge short term or long term price direction in terms of both time and quantity of movement based on probabilities including that we are not going to be able to ascribe much if any absolute certainty to what is going to happen (until after it has already happened.. and even then there can be disputes about how to describe what has happened).

no one can be sure that this positive price movement will last long, as you said that the price of Bitcoin moves quickly both high and low prices.
like what happened earlier in the year bitcoin price touched its new ATH and it didn't last long, I think it will happen again this time.
