My original question was why you would want to reward hoarding--whether it be just for the month of June, or in the long-term.  I understand that this payout is a one-time thing.  But I have also seen information that would indicate to me that there is some possibility of future payouts of that nature using revenues from miners, games, etc.  I've seen no guarantees, but it seems to be at least potentially part of the plan.  If that's incorrect, then that answers my questions about long-term dividend payouts.

Thanks for clearing that out for me, wasn't sure where u were asking for.
It is indeed a possibility that the program will be extended, BUT this is currently being heavily discussed by the foundation, so no guarantees.
We wont release anything official untill everything has been decided.
If it would get extended, everything about the funding etc will be explained in detail.

We are not trying to reward the hoarding itself, we are rewarding loyal community members and the dividend program was the best way to do that in our opinion.
How would you suggest we should've fairly distributed the 14 BTC? Maybe you have some good ideas for us Smiley. Suggestions are always welcome.

Off the top of my head, I would say partially reimburse some retailers for selling goods in exchange for CAIx.  Throwing money at people who happened to mine the coin during the POW stage or buy it up shortly after does nothing for the longevity of CAIx that I can see.  But helping to actually make the coin useful makes it more valuable to anyone who actually wants to use cryptocurrency, rather than just mine and translate into fiat.  And, not to nitpick on your wording, but I would like to say that this isn't about "fair" distribution; it's about what increases the value/utility of the currency.

Just out of curiosity, what is the level of economic and marketing expertise within the development and foundation group?  This isn't intended as an attack.  I am just trying to get a better feel for how this is operating.

Hi All

I bought a lot more CAIx just last weekend, just before the price nose-dived.

I had been playing the market spread with 10~11 BTC. Whether it was one whale or a number of people selling to me and buying off me, I kept pulling it off and ended up with nearly 26,000 CAIx.

I eventually pulled all of these to my wallet and it seemed to be after this that the unit value crashed. I think I may have upset a whale who was accumulating. It's not just the unit value, but trade volume has gone too, which would suggest a whale was doing a lot of market manipulation to keep the volume up. He's now simply disappeared.

So, I think, in part, this may be my fault. I'm sorry I ruined the whales game and he's thrown a tantrum and dumped his remaining coins. Probably the same person who then signed up this week to spread FUD.

Good luck to us Smiley

I've been watching the books closely. Someone was holding the price up at 50k for a very long time. I think it's more an issue of whales couldn't afford to keep buying it back up to 50. Whoever it was, I'd be thanking them rather than calling them a manipulator. Buying coins up to 50 for that long means they must be stuck with quite a lot of them.

It's possible you sometimes saw my buy walls pop up around 50~52k for 10~11BTC.

When I say manipulation, I don't necessarily mean in a negative way. Sometimes it's a good thing.

i hold a good sum of this coin, bought at a way higher price than it is now, like many others.

i have some questions :

why are you paying out the dividends in btc?  you don't believe in your coins?

that 14btc should be used to buy back Caix and pay out in Caix the dividends....because you tell us to believe in this coin by don't touching/moving/playing it for a whole month, but you will pay a dividends in bitcoin?!?! is it only me or is that shit is very hard to understand?

I think i just really don't understand this "hold this coins, please don't do any transactions with it" june program at all...

btw, cheerleaders, i'm not fuding by asking these questions. and if anyone care to answer this, please can you avoid using any words or wording like "hope", "you will see", "wait 'till", etc....
i want explanations and believe that if you think this is a failed idea, just say it. i prefer honesty.... it's not like we will start to dump that coin at that current price anyway.

I do like the idea of buying up coins with the BTC and splitting them accordingly.

This would push up the value of caishen, get rid of weak hands and put the extra bought caishen into the hands of people who have shown to be strong holders by holding the coin for 1 month.

If you buy caix with the btc the ones who want btc will just dump what they have and drive the price down. 14 btc buy up is not much. Steady buying pressure is what is needed. A quick buy up will only leave a void to be filled and then dumped more on by some holders wanting btc. I see nothing wrong with getting btc if you want more caix then you can buy it with your share.

Hi guys,

Looks like some very interesting questions have been asked in my one day of being AFK. I'm very glad to see these genuine questions.
Here we go...

hello folks hevent been in in a bit whats new in the world of caix and new changes coming out or is everything fine as it was 1 month ago? Smiley

Hi DARKANGEL6415, good to see you're still around.
We are now on Cryptsy so you can buy as much CAIx as you'd like Wink.
The developers are currently developing a multipool, which is about to be tested internally.
They are also developing a new wallet with some great new features. You'll hear more about that soon.

Excellent question and suggestion.
This has been discussed multiple times on foundation meetings, we are not 100% sure yet. There are a lot of pro's and cons for either ways.
Currently the 14 BTC is 14 BTC Wink.
Like Stuhlman said on the launch of the dividend program, we will do what's best for the coin at the end of the program.

I can see both pros and cons, but depending on the price and how much of an impact 14BTC makes and how much CAIx the 14 BTC can buy come end of the month, it may be better for everyone to receive CAIx. Titans + PSP come along and push all that CAIx way way above its original 14 BTC value.

It's hard to know what's best, I agree - it really depends on how things are going at the time, I guess. Like you say.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the original plan was to use the income from the game to buy CAIx?  Isn't the 14btc from the game?  Wouldn't it be changing the plan if you distributed btc?

It was never mentioned to buy CAIx with the revenue of the game. Revenue will be divided 50/50 between developers and CAIx holders.
In total Tiny Elementals generated 28 BTC, half of that is given back to loyal CAIx holders.

Thanks for your suggestion, a foundation member also suggested this during a foundation meeting and we are discussing the various options for the dividend program.

No offence is taken in your question, it's a good question.
The foundation is a very diverse group, here's a bit more information about what expertise we have:
- Various business owners (IT, web development/marketing,...)
- Project/brand manager
- Experience with crypto marketing
- IT hardware specialists
- Quite a big reach on social media and in the crypto world in general
- Sales experience
- Computer and healthcare background

If you think u have what it takes to further append this list, u can always sign up to become a foundation member. More info here.

Hi pieterjanvh,

Any (even small) update about multipool?

How is the progress? Smiley

Hi saperka,

Foundation members will start testing the multipool tomorrow, hopefully there wont be too many hick ups.
It really depends on how many bugs we find, so no exact ETA, but we will keep you updated!
The devs are making progress on the wallet update, they have fixed quite a few bugs that were present in the SC wallet we used as a base for our new wallet.

i hold a good sum of this coin, bought at a way higher price than it is now, like many others.

i have some questions :

Hi gnargnar, as said before we did NOT say we are paying out the dividends in BTC, it hasn't been decided yet.
There are a lot of pro's and cons to be considered, u mentioned some in favor of CAIx payout, StolenCoinSalesman has mentioned some in favor for BTC payout Smiley.
A decision will be made based on what's best for the coin at the end of June. We will keep u updated about this.

As always, you can find us at caixboard.com or #caishen on Freenode.net if u have any questions or suggestions.

Note: English isn't my native language, so I'm sorry if my grammar or vocabulary isn't alway spot on Smiley. If there's anything in my answers you don't understand, don't hesitate to let me know.

Hey, pieterjanvh!
It seems like your own multipool built from scratch is very important thing in psp development.
What would be the next step on your roadmap to make psp happen?

It is indeed very critical that our multipool works perfectly and that we can deliver the same level of support for our miners that we are currently offering the CAIx community daily.
The next step is actually pretty simple: wait for KnC to deliver the titans and get them running on the multipool.

There will be a section on the multipool showing real-time PSP statistics.

one buy order and the price will reach 0.0001, second will reach 0.00001. Then we expect the PSP program to recover the price 100 - 400 times. Well waiting to see this.

all buy orders. If there were games or someting we can buy with caix, that can make cai wanted then may be there will be some buy pressure. Now it looks as bye pressure.

Can somebody tell me in what game income did  CAIX earn 28 BTC?? Is it by selling some game the developers developed or just contest?? Does Caix foundation still own the game ?Basically I want to know where the 28 BTC came from?? I am Talking about the 28 Btc of which 14 btc will be distributed at June end.
