Well, you are right about it getting small bets for most fights is not that hard but sometimes not also profitable for sure it is fun as you can surely enjoy the fights that are boring to your taste, but good advice we never know if it's going for the best, but right now I am interested with some of the fights in the event right now so maybe I will make my bet later.

To me, Chandler was a better example of a gatekeeper (before he went semi-retired waiting for Conor), you had to defeat him to be considered the top of 155 division.
Oliveira had a great run (in the later part of his career) losing only to Islam, but it's not like you had to go past him to fight for the title. Gaethje could have got that chance if the UFC didn't match him up against Holloway for the imaginary belt bout.

Anyhow, Tsarukyan is the bookies' favourite with odds x1.45 Vs. x2.65 for Charles. But we already know they overly favour younger fighters.

I'm not qualifying Michael Chandler because of what he is doing right now but if he keeps on fighting after that Dustin Poirier will lose maybe he could have won a fight again, and maybe in the past Chandler was one of the big fighters in the UFC but right now I am really doubting what he is capable right now even the upcoming fight against Conor McGregor is really doubtful if he can do it, that is why I am saying that Charles Oliveira is a great fighter and is the number 1 contender but maybe Chandler can still perform well, while Mateusz Gamrot and Arman Tsarukyan could be the next gate-keeper in his steed.

I think McGregor is done.

He was done long time ago when Khabib finished him  
UFC and Dana kept him only as UFC mascot and I think they know the truth, new fight for him will be lost together with his reputation.
He can continue making movies now, or try fighting in lower quality competitions.

Mmm nah, not really.  After Khabib there was still a wide window that McGregor could come back and still win the 155 belt after Khabib retired.  It was at that time when he broke his leg vs Poirier that really got him on in the deep end with the drink and prolly also the drugs.  There could be no coming back after that esp with how old he is right now.

I think so too. As mentioned before, I see some benefits of the UFC letting him retire gracefully, but his fight(s) can still yield them at least few millions $ in revenue, so the temptation will be too hard to resist.

The more I see of Conor the worse he looks. I don’t think he’ll fight again. He looks like he’s a total mess in his interviews.

It's hard to deny. I think that's what coming off steroids did to him. I find it very plausible that he put himself on steroids to speed up the broken leg recovery, which made sense as he didn't have to go through any testing in that period anyway.
When he talks, he's got that "retired" vibe already and looks much older than he is. But I'm not writing him off just yet and will be happy to be proven wrong.

So many decisions in the latest event, damn it was so boring. Only Igor Severino decided to save this event and bit his opponent lol. A perfect way to spoil UFC debut and get kicked out. What makes it even more funny: After the first ever UFC biting disqualification took place at this event, CEO Dana White gave a Bite of the Night $50,000 bonus to André Lima whose bout ended prematurely as a result of being bit on the arm by opponent Igor Severino. Dont know what motivates one fighter to bite another. And how can you do it with mouth guard. Or why would someone be so stupid to fight without a mouth guard.

As for the rest of the event, the guys to look out for are Talbott and and Zalal.  Talbott could be next level and Zalal looks like he improved from his time away from the UFC.

I think they gave away the hint already when Sean considered a 3rd fight even before the 2nd started. We should have considered it a good hint that the fight will be a decision and that a 3rd fight will be coming.

Whats next for Tuivasa? It bet for this man to win lol such a careless. He was winning. He could prevent that takedown by just pulling Tybura up but couldn't resist punching, the worse part he gave up back.

For sure we can see another fight between these two fighters but that was a very boring fight I really don't know if that deserves a rematch how I wish they move on or maybe a Merab Dvalishvili fight could take away that belt from O'Malley how I wish that could be possible as I don't want to see a rematch anymore,  

While Tai Tuivasa is going down the rankings in the Heavyweight division I really don't know what will happen to Tuivasa I don't really know, but 1 thing is for sure Tuivasa already has 4 consecutive losses he has to change his style and technique if he wants to win in his next fight.


I totally missed UFC Fight Night: Ribas vs. Namajunas but some finishes were really incredible the Edmen Shahbazyan vs. AJ Dobson fight ended up in a Knockout left hook and ground and pound by Shahbazyan, Payton Talbott vs. Cameron Saaiman fight ended up with Talbott winning with a Knockout straight left, Youssef Zalal vs. Billy Quarantillo ended up with a submission rear naked choke a win for Zalal, Fernando Padilla winning against Luis Pajuelo with D'Arce choke submission, Julian Erosa winning against Ricardo Ramos with a submission guillotine choke.

the odd thing that happened in this event was the disqualification win of André Lima against Igor Severino because Severino bites André Lima here is the picture of the gruesome bite



Here is Andre Lima getting his instant tattoo after the fight and because Dana White saw this he also got a bite bonus and doubled it to $50,000 to the usual 25k.

Igor is 8-0. Such a waste of talent if Igor is banned permanently. He does have the potential. He got frustrated like Mike when he fought Evander. I think it's still not the end of him but he has to learn sportsmanship. This bite is what he will be remembered for until he can do something bigger than it. 

Bite of the Night lol but he was winning, right? Igor wants a mounting position on Lima but Lima is so good at throwing him out.

I don't think anyone knows what he was thinking to do all that, it clear that biting is form of foul play in the UFC and he learned lesson he really needed to learn.
Fight went bad because it didn't go according to plan and this is one of the offenses that created heated discussion among UFC fans, he has earned himself criticism and bad sentiments from everyone.
And if look at the shape of the bite mark that occurred, it is not like bite with tooth guard and it is clear that the shape resembles direct bite with teeth, but this was ridiculous experience for Andre Lima during his UFC debut.
He got much bigger payout due to Igor Severino ridiculous actions, hahaha I think what Dana did was the best for the industry he owns and for Andre Lima.

A really great card from top to bottom for a Fight Night imho.  But then again it's an event that's not just held in the Apex Center.  Lol.  It's gonna be in Atlantic City, New Jersey...  The gambling capital of the east coast.

The only match up I don't like here is Silva vs Weidman.  Why are they doing this to Weidman.  It's gonna be so much pressure for the guy.  I think he's gonna retire after this one.  :/

Rose Namajunas got the job done, but it was not an easy fight for her. Ribas was ranked 8th in the Flyweight, so it's not a massive win for Rose, a former Strawweight champion.
She wasn't looking bad, landed few really nice strikes, but didn't look as hungry and sharp as in her prime years. Not quite sure why is she sticking to the Flyweight rather than going down to where she had the most success. Maybe cutting weight to 115 pounds is too much strain on her body.
At least she'll jump back into the top 15 rank, I'm imagining she'll jump at least to 8th place of the Flyweight.

I have no clue what went through Da Silva's mind when he decided it's a good idea to bite his opponent. He's UFC adventure ended as soon as it started. Maybe they should start doing some basic IQ/psychological testing before signing up new fighters.

How funny it will look if this is true. Imho the biggest Weidman achievement was the moment he knocked out Anderson Silva and ended his 16 win streak, got middleweight champs belt. Moreover it was a moment when Silva was winning that fight totally and was making fun of Weidman with taunts, and boom, a left hook. Then it was a quick belt defence against Silva, where Silva broke his leg and his career was basically over. Now Weidman is facing Silva again, but the other Silva It has started with Silva and ended with Silva.

Sounds like a decent match up as both are on similar level right now and both lost 4 times in their last 5 fights, so are desperate for a win.
I'm not very familiar with Silva, but judging by his record he's pretty aggressive with 20 out of the 23 wins by KO. I don't think it'll be a walk in the park for Weidman, but good to see the UFC still gives him fights and didn't dropped him after that horrible injury.

^ Weidman got his last win in 2020. After that, he does not have a single win if I recall correctly. And he is going up against a guy who has seen his last win in 2021. Honestly, I don't think a lot of people are going to be very interested in this fight. Maybe the people who are interested to see how Weidman might end his career will probably be interested. But too many people are not going to be interested, I also don't think that the fight itself is going to be very interesting as well. I think we all understand very well that Weidman’s prime days are far behind him. And about the achievements of his career, we can only remember the exact thing that @TopTort777 told.

I would laugh if this bite turns to be a perfectly drawn black and red ink tattoo, and docs were just blind But actually Severe was wearing a mouthguard. Take a look on this picture (its more high res). There are direct teeth marks on one side, and inaccurate on the other, were guard was. What really is strange that Limas reaction was so expressionless. Bite is deep. Skin is soften and tender in inner biceps area. But he was like just Ouch only. Try biting yourself so that marks would be red and stay for around 5 minutes. It hurts

You made it sound like his on a massive, 4 years-long losing streak, but after that win he suffered a badly broken leg in a fight against Uriah Hall which side-lined him for years. He returned in Aug 2023 and lost by decision to Tavares.
I don't predict Chris will achieve any notable success in his career, but I'm glad the UFC respects his past achievements and lets him fight. Of course, if he loses another 1 or 2 fights he might get forced into retirement.

Honestly, I don't think a lot of people are going to be very interested in this fight. Maybe the people who are interested to see how Weidman might end his career will probably be interested. But too many people are not going to be interested, (...)

I don't think you appreciate the value of having recognisable name. As a former champion who dethroned the legendary Anderson Silva, he made a name for himself, and for many (myself included) is still more interesting than better skilled but unknown fighters.

But then again are you trying to say that Weidman is gonna win this fight since he's against a Silva?    The event os also gonna be in his home state of New Jersey too.  So most of the fans in the arena will be backing him.  And the bookies have him at 3.05.  So prolly taking a small shot for him wouldn't be that bad.  He could rag doll Silva or grind him against the cage for all we know.  :/

Silva is a decent striker but he's not really high level as an MMA fighter.  It's just two different games.  But Weidman is also washed so that prolly evens it out.  Lol.  He could eek out a win tho.
