There's no way UFC will hold his last loss against him given the 11 days notice and the fact he was fighting a top guy in a higher weight class (and did quite OK).

Usman agreed to fight Chimaev because of the huge payout. This is natural because Usman has won in negotiations. This defeat was also beneficial for Usman because it could be assumed that Usman lost this fight due to lack of preparation. Chimaev has been training for months at the training camp, while Usman has only started preparing for the Training Camp in just 11 days. And one more thing, Usman has received a very large fee from the UFC (I don't know how much) to fill this fight.

Numbers say that he got only 20k+4k that night, but recently he said in the interview, that he has spend almost 70k on his preparation for UFC debut, and he is kinda broke already, because he had no fights for almost a year.

I just wonder what is next for Usman. The guy still has champions ambitions, but he is rather old already. 37 and already 8 years in UFC. He wont get a title fight as a next fight. Imho he wont have a title fight in the fight that comes after his next (if he wins). 2 fights that is like a year in fighters career.

He's 36, he'll be 37 in May, not that this makes any real difference. There are plenty of potential match-ups for Usman that would make sense. He's still the number one contender, so probably will be matched against Belal, and the winner will get a title shot. This would work best if Colby defeats Edwards. Usman beat Colby twice already, so it would be a sort of test to see if he's still there in terms of fighting ability.

Alternatively, he could be paired up with some rising new star like Shavkat Rakhmonov, but I think the first option is much more likely to happen.

And not only that.  He saved the co main match up of a PPV event and somewhat made it better imho.  Usman is also like Tony Ferguson, Nate Diaz, Michael Bisping, Daniel Cormier, etc, etc...  Just one of them guys who the UFC likes keeping around because they're an asset to the company.

Given his age, Usman is still tough as a bull and the ones he fought before may refuse to fight him again. So far it's Belal Muhammad that qualifies the most in order to push Usman's rank down. Usman winning their fight I think will not get him a title shot again but he'd be a gatekeeper preventing Colby from getting a belt. Usman and Colby are in the same situation where they are given the shot twice and lost twice.

We may be divided on who to bet on if Usman is matched against Rakhmonov. It's also time to give Rakhmonov a tougher fight.

I also don't know if that is the Salary for Sharabutdin Magomedov and I haven't seen that as well For sure this is just his 1st fight and I think if a fighter is in a better rank then he can also get better pay but that is just a maybe,

Yup! I agree that Kamaru Usman is still considered number 1 in the welterweight and sure he still has what it takes to have a great performance against Khamzat Chimaev getting that fight in a distance is something that is many have expected Khamzat Chimaev will be dominant against Usman but the fight was really a close match

Not just wrestling defense, but defense and head move in general. If you rewatch the fight, he was very straightforward, even though he has changed stances, he barely move or protect his head from punches. And most important, when he was in close distance, when it is better to use hand, instead he has used knees. They are useful mostly in striking sports, but in a clinch or on distance when you barely can make a straight punch but rather use hooks or swings, doing knees can cost you balance and position. Imho he is way to into muay thai or the mma opponent he had are on way lower level than UFC guys, because they allow him to knee on such distance.

I got to know Sharabutdin after UFC 294. And that was Sharabutdin's UFC debut. So to be honest, I didn't know who Sharabutdin was before. His opponent that night was Bruno Silva, who had fought with Perreira when Perreira debuted in the UFC. I noticed that even though Sharabutdin is a Dagestani warrior, his fight with Bruno Silva showed the level of wrestling Sharabutdin was lacking. As far as I remember, Dana White even said "just found out there is a Dagestan fighter who doesn't have Takedown Defense" .

But I liked the match and it looks like Sharabutdin will be a new face in the Middleweight top 10 in the future, provided he has to improve his wrestling technique.

That's a bummer. Not sure if that 8 months is only the time it takes for the healing time, or is it the total estimated time it'll take him to return to the fighting shape.
UFC again did pretty good in finding replacement. Aspinall Vs Pavlovich is, to me, equally exciting fight. Both are No. 1 and No. 2 in stats for the shortest average fight. It's a shame they only have a little over 2 weeks to prepare.
I wonder if Stipe will have any other fight or will he just be waiting for Jones to return. It' not obvious UFC would still want to make it happen. It would make more sense to match Jones against whoever wins the interim title - likely Aspinall.

Yeah, that's terrible, it was brutal. I wouldn't damage my face for thousands, doesn't worth for me to turn into ugly man or get my face nerve damaged. By the way, I have to admit that this sport is very entertaining for me, I have a rush of adrenaline when I watch Vasily Kamotsky.

Well, Uncle Fester would surely be frustrated if they refused to fight but the amount of money is surely tantalizing for them to refuse basically they are just being practical even though Islam Makhachev is saying that Volk shows up because of the money I truly think it is only normal because he is feeding his family with his hard earned money and basically risking his life for that, while I will be a hypocrite if I would not tell that I will be fighting not because of money but for the glory of being champion for sure all just wants money at the end of the day,

Bare Knuckle fighting is still interesting because you will need to be very technical in this fight as well, but people think so much crazy stuff is just unimaginable like they are just crazy thinking something like this that they would likely want a riskier fighting sports than a non-risky ones,

Power Slap is more dangerous than bare knuckle fights. The argument "you arent allowed to defence" in power slap crosses every single brutality that BK has. Open first indeed may cause lots of visual damage, but the opponent always have a chance to dodge or block to minimize damage. With slaps, it is a little concussion and you arent allowed to defend from it. I think I would better watch kittens fight that watch two men slap each other

I would choose Football, Basketball, Tennis and some other sports games absolutely every day if I had to make a career. Fighting is brutal, it affects your brain, your face and you get paid small, doesn't worth it.

To be honest, I like it when they slap each other and then there is a slow motion of how dust and particles leave the face surface and how skin then moves on face like waves in the ocean. Bare Knuckle is just brutal because lack of gloves increase cuts on face, I don't really enjoy it. I don't think anyone will ever make a career in it because injuries will be very frequent and very damaging, there is a very high risk of getting your wrist broken, which means, your career is gone.

Not a fan too but I like to watch non UFC events that's on from time to time and make small bets here and there just to make it more interesting to watch.  But tbh it was a good watch.  I mean I don't think it'll be as huge as the UFC but it could have its own spot among sporting events.  I wouldn't mind watching the next one.

And as a new sport, the lines could be soft for the next events until the books adjust.

Jon Jones just got injured during his wrestling training and he is officially out of UFC295 fight against Stipe Miocic, and I really wanted to finally see this one  
Jiri Prochazka vs Alex Pereira is now the main event, and Pavlovich vs Aspinall will be a co-main fight for Interim Heavyweight title.

Well this is very surprising because the fight between two monsters from this heavyweight class is an event that is highly anticipated by UFC fans.
Jon Jones will undergo long period of treatment and recovery and it is even reported that after he recovers he will not be able to immediately return to the UFC to fight.
It looks like he will gain quite significant amount of weight because during the recovery period he will only sleep and eat.

Indeed there is replacement fight for Jones failed meeting with Stipe Miocic namely the interim heavyweight title fight between Sergei Pavlovich vs Tom Aspinall.
Unfortunately this fight isn't that interesting.

Meanwhile for Alex Pereira, I will have hopes for his victory against Jiri Prochazka.

The whole idea of an interim belt is for situations like this one when the champion is unable to fight for a long period of time. Jones wasn't quite stripped off of his belt, it's more of putting his title on hold. When he is back, he'll have to face the interim champion for the undisputed title.

Jones's career is full of unfortunate events. He got to the very top effortlessly and (if I'm not mistaken) he was the youngest champion in the UFC's history. If everything went right, he would've had even more impressive record. But he still has the most title fights in the organisation.
Other than the recovery period issue, there's also a question if Jones will be willing to fight whoever holds the interim belt. He seemed quite picky in choosing his opponents recently.
