Australiua were too eary to hit the balls. They wanted to accelerate the run rate too quick, I think from the 33rd over they were trying to accelarate the run. Finch needed in the pitch for more overs but after his century he became careless. Now they are paying the price.

280 is the max I think.

Edit: Well we have 285 runs. So the target is 286 and I am smelling a close match. Both England and Australia has equal chance now.

Well England lost their first wicket without scoring any run. Vince is proving himself useless. We do not want to see the England that was against Sri Lanka. Just work for a good partnership and the runs will come easily.

This meant to happen. I never had much confidence with the English team even they say that this team is their best ever. I was expecting them to go to the Semi easily but now it looks like team like Bangladesh or Sri Lanka can take it away from them.

So far poor performance from English team in this match. They need to turn the table around if they wants to win this match and keep their hope intact for the Semi.

In case they lose this match, then they'll move one step closer to crashing out of the tournament. The toss made a lot of difference and the English were right in choosing to field first. But despite that they are about to lose.

The difference between England and South Africa is: SA were easy to eliminate from the first round and England is just making it hard, some resistance only but eventually they will be eliminated.

Not sure about Nasser Hussain and Vaughan but KP will be so embarrassed. I noticed in few programs Kevin Peterson was proudly predicting that England will be lifting the cup. Others will roast him AF LOL

I am also seeing England going out of world cup.  I don't think they will be able to beat the strong Indian side too.  It would be a big upset if this happens with the home nation.

Vince has been a pretty useless addition to the team, as an opener he has got just 40 runs from 3 games, including the duck today.

Roy's return is desperately needed otherwise I can't see them beating India like this.

Today I went with:

Root is obviously a lost cause (why did I bet on the English top order when they have been consistently inconsistent?!) but Starc could save the day with 2 wickets already.

So now it's up to Stokes and Buttler. The top order of England has failed today shamelessly. I do not think they have any chance today unless this partnership breaks any world record. I am not sure about the record partnership in the 5th wicket but assuming it's something 150+.

As I predicted, it was a game below 300 runs and now Eng are struggling to get 287 as 5 wickets have already fallen. With Stokes on strike, still hope is alive but if he gets out, it will be more tough to chase down 122 runs.
