India were never in contention to win this match because of the way they approached it, first their players were lethargic in fielding, then their bowlers gifted England tons of runs. The biggest culprit for me is their opener Rohit and Indian captain Virat, the way they wasted the starting 10 overs ended India’s hope of winning the game. Ms Dhoni was never going to finish it and we all know he can’t hit due to his age, he’s only there for his wicket keeping skills so pointless screaming at him.

The England bowlers bowled really well from the beginning and the slow start in the first ten overs and the time Rohit took to get going have cost the game as the run rate kept creeping and Dhoni cannot do anything when you need 100 runs in 45 balls and the English bowlers were mixing up slower delivers and it is hard to pick if they usually bowl at 144 KMPH and then mix it up with 118 KMPH deliveries and Rohit got out to a slower delivery and Pant got out to a brilliant catch, move on to the next match and learn from the mistakes.

Everyone is claiming England to be the at no. 4 position but technically they cant be at 4th. If they beat NewZealand, that will give them 12 Points pushing them to 3rd position and NewZealand will end up 4th with 11 Points.

I am not discriminating any of the English bowler, they really bowled well but come on, you had (India) 5 wickets left but you did not try to hit the balls until the last over when you need over 40 runs. I wonder what was the message for the batsmen after 45 overs in Indian inning? I do not care if it's a slow ball, if the pitch is slow, if the bowler is bowling 100mph, if the ball is spinning like it never did... HIT the ball (!) when your require run rate is over 12 runs per over and you have five wickets in hand.

England had a good bowling attack while strong Indian top orders , Rahul, Sharma , kholi aren't capable to face and keep the run rate good.

Yes, Sharma can make the century and Indians have wickets in hand and yet it is difficult for the batsmen to hit and score according to the req. run rate?

Hetmyer, Brathwait and Fabien Allen. That's really sad. WI could have easily win the match otherwise.
They still have the chance, Pooran needs to stand alone and face most of the ball. I guess he will make it.

Everyone witnessed how the Indian players were finding it difficult to read the delivers and if they could they would have won the game rather than play a test match when you got a big total to chase  .

West Indies lost crucial wickets and still they are on the match as they need 42 runs from 26 balls, they were sloppy with three run outs which changed the match altogether and Pooran is still in the crease, but it looks like a difficult chase for West Indies from this situation as Pooran is the only established batsman.

The Sri Lankan captain took a chance and it worked! Pooran gone by the occasional bowler and with this I do not see any hope for WI now. They came back to this match in a style but eventually they just could not held it.

Its obvious they wanted to avoid Pakistan in the semi finals but i do not think if it was a wise decision for them.

Well possible but very hard with the current bowling unit India have. Previous match, Chahal and Yadav didn't made an impact but that was pitch that wasn't spinner favourable I guess.

If Bangladesh had to win then they have to dent the Indian opening side I mean first 1-4 batsman quickly (which is hard to dream with the current form Kohli and Rohit are in).

So overall it's gonna be pretty difficult for them but Bangladesh will be like all-guns out in these last two matches.

WI did fought well in this match but what about the other matches in the tournament. The World cup is over for them and its time for Gayle to give some newcomers a chance. He is now too old for a 50 Over match.  Same is need in Srilankan team. We see two batsmen score 100 today and both were under 25 years of age.

The run out of Fabian Allen was the turning point. Had he batted for another 2-3 overs, then West Indies would have easily cruised home. The blame should be on Nicholas Pooran, who acted very selfishly at that point. And this is the issue with the West Indies team. The players only care about themselves, and not about the team. Unless this mentality changes, they will remain on the fringes.
