New shuffle already up - 17 6700 XT cards.   Early reports say they are not as good for eth as 5700,  43MH vs 55MH but with tweaking they may get to 50.  At least they are cheap.

I got picked for I think the most expensive one at $829.99.  I'm not sure I'm interested in a huge 2.9 slot card that only does potentially 50 mhs.  I'm on the fence.

Apparently this chip shortage is even affecting vehicles. The Honda and Ford plants had to shut down due to a chip shortage. I am going to assume that vehicles are much more essential than gaming GPUs and most likely they are going to get priority in the queue.

So prices of GPUs are going to remain high for months. It’s pretty crazy. I basically had an old old GPU from my Litecoin mining days. It was a Radeon 7950, basically like a r9 280x except the clocks are slightly lower. 2-3 years ago you couldn’t sell these GPUs. People only wanted r9 2xx GPUs and didn’t want the Radeon 79xx stuff even though it had a similar chip inside.

I made a Craigslist ad and it sold within 1 hour. And I forgot to remove the ad and basically every 3-6 hours got an inquiry for this 8 year old GPU. Within like 5 days it had a total of 20 inquiries. Which is crazy nuts for such an old video card. And people obviously aren’t mining with them since there are no algos.

my 2 omen 30l units came today they have nvidia 3070 cards in them.

I will be testing them today.
I have a nvidia PNY 3090 due to be picked up on sat at nearby best buy.

so 60+60 +110= 230mh coming on line soon.

apparently I did pick the asus strix 6700xt at  829 usd + 10 to ship = 839 + 60 tax = 900

I will decide later if I want to pay that.

That happened to me yesterday.  I got it the next day at 10am that i wasn't selected lol

Someone said you can check your newegg shopping cart and the items you were selected for should show up in there, if you were selected.

When you get it check to see if it's mem bus is 256 instead of 192 like the others.  I didn't notice this until today....  Should make it mine better.

pretty sure thats a typo...6700xt should be 192bit or 384gb/s or something like that.  would be nice to see me wrong though.  Hey a 7970 is still pretty good for gaming considering the alternatives right now
I heard the carmakers cancelled chip orders when the covid slump hit, but now they want to un-cancel them and they are blaming "chip shortage".  While technically true, I had a quick look at TMSC production numbers and they arent down.

That's interesting.  I didn't know there were different memory buses for different versions of the 6700 XT.

That's interesting.  I didn't know there were different memory buses for different versions of the 6700 XT.

that's just according to their spec.  gpu-z is stating 192 bit bus for the powercolor red devil 6700xt.   i'll post for the asus tuf 6700xt once i receive it.

Four years ago my son bought a used 980 ti hybrid for $290, he sold it yesterday for $379 plus shipping, it was listed for about an hour. 

I guess I need to sell my 4gb cards.
