Sucks phil.  I watch Best Buy a lot myself.  For the first time since I have been watching, the CyberPower R9 3080 system came in stock for a few minutes today, so I said screw it and jumped on it.  Will replace this 3060 ti system I got with it as my main home system.

I have 4 3060 ti systems I have bought over the past month.  Considering pulling the cards and putting in a open air rig and just selling off the rest of the systems to recoup some of the cost faster.  I have a couple of open air rigs minus the GPU's laying around collecting dust.  Will any of these newer cards work on the old H81 Pro BTC boards?  Keep seeing conflicting info online.  Be nice if they would as everything I need for them is there but the GPU's, could get them going again.  If not, mobo suggestions for something that can actually be bought right now and run at least 6 GPU's?

I am not gong to be able to get it.
However I am arguing for compensation as they tied my money up from March 12 to March 22 and cancelled without my permission.

Maybe I can get a 75 or 100 dollar gift card from them.  As this was their fault not mine.

I would prefer the gpu but at least a gift card helps a bit.

Downpayment by default should be returned in double if cancelled by seller, but I believe they fine print set it different in their terms and conditions.

Anybody got any idea how much I can get for a couple of nvidia MSI 1070 Aero? These cards are giving me the lowest mh/s and thought might as well try to sell them asap and get the newest gpus. I checked ebay and the few selling are about 450-500 bucks and most from japan. I never pushed them too hard and all are taken care for, but they're out of warranty.  Thanks.

My logic would be try selling here in the marketplace.  Offer escrow (hint use me).

Offer lower than these on ebay.  these are the lowest usa buy it now.  say 425-450

https://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-GeForce-GTX-1070-OC-8GB-GDDR5-Graphics-Card-DUALGTX1070O8G/353429316136?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/GIGABYTE-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-1070-8-GB-GDDR5-Graphics-Card-ONE-BROKEN-FAN/353427708737?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/ZOTAC-GeForce-GTX-1070-Mini-8GB-GDDR5-Graphics-Card-ZT-P10700G-10M/324530526345?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-1070-SC2-GAMING/274731804452?

If you sell on ebay 10% goes to ebay
If you sell here and use me I charge 2%

A 450 card gets you 405 on ebay
Listed at 350 here you clear 343  with no fears of a 2 month or 3 month claw back.

I always beat the best ebay prices by 15-20% when I sell here in the marketplace.
You also do not worry about claw back 2, 3, 4 months later.  The buyer gets the cards has a day to test and I release the funds to the seller.
If you are a usa seller $325-350 and free shipping at the marketplace is reasonable.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=75.0

if the cards do 20mh they make 2 a day and in 175 days they are paid off. It is basically all profit for you.

You can do the Newegg Shuffle and maybe get lucky.

https://www.newegg.com/product-shuffle

If you sell on ebay just under cut the lowest seller by 5 bucks to 10 bucks.

Newegg Shuffle is up.

Some asus top of the line cards

3090 strix black or white models
3090 tuf
3060 tuf

https://www.newegg.com/product-shuffle

I picked the 2 strix
Wish me luck

Good luck.  They put it up late today, didn't think they were doing one, so thx for posting it.  Not really interested in a 3090, so just the 3060 and for kicks, the PS5, for me.

So My winning shuffle  asus strix 6700 xt from the 18th of march showed up today.

Can't change any setting to it on windows 10 so it is doing 153 watts and 43mh.

I will switch it to smos in a few days.

I tried asus tweak  = fuck you phil
I tried after burner = fuck you phil

Still turns profit for now.

I will post back on it later.

Oh gpu-z say bus is 192 not 256 so it is going to be a 47-51 mh card at 130 watts eventually.

I really would like to get the white asus strix 3090 card today.

What is coming next to the house.

an rma  power color 5700 50mh

the arock rma arrived new  sealed retail box does 26mh

sent both the ASRock and the power color out the same day.  no sign of the power color and what is more annoying is the power color was not  on a mining rig. Just worked on my thread ripper rig which does not mine with the GPU.

So I am due

1 amd 5700 xt
1 nvidia 3070 on back order
1 mini sha mining node

I kept the 5700XT I got from Newegg couple of weeks ago.  I was able to get it to 54mh at little over 100 watts fairly easily but driver would crash occasionally.  Since its in my desk computer at work that I use frequently, I dialed it back down to most stock settings other than the power reduction, so getting 51mh at about 110 watts for now.

I have 10 Dell systems with 5700's also coming in a couple of weeks that I bought at a pretty good deal.  I plan to pull the cards and sell off the rest of the system for whatever it will bring.

phil - Did you see my H81 Pro BTC mobo question above?

Dam.  Was hoping the Asus website for that card was not a error.  The 6700xt's seem to be a bit over priced for what they deliver vs the 5700's.

That white Asus Strix 3090 goes for some ridiculous money on eBay and stockx.  Went for all the cards today so I am in for another you weren't selected email; in about 6-7 hours.

Anyone looking for a 1000w psu these seasonic's are in stock as I type and on sale if you are a bestbuy member at $161.99 limit 9

yeah I did.

I don't know for sure. What is the cpu?

I know any mobos that uses celeron g3900 or newer should work.  The oldest cpus I have now are the g3900 they work with 3000

series.

I even have some mobos that use ddr3 ram with celeron g3900 they are fine. if you keep them all the same.

3060ti up to 4 tested and work
3070ti up to 3 tested and work
3080   up to 3 tested and work on the 6 slot onda clones

If I could cool them I think they would do more.

I also have a buddy with some 12 slot boards running 11x 3070's with g3900 cpu and 1600 speed ddr3 ram

at btcshiner best buy has been outstanding to buy the seasonic 850 and 1000 watt units.

CPUs are older than that.  Just looked it up, they are Celeron G3220's, 8GB DDR 3 in HTC Pro BTC boards.

And you can get away with plain ddr3 with no L some  ddr3 ram will work .

I have many mobos with ddr3 no L using g3900
some use sodimm only 1 stick

some use dimm 1 or 2 sticks.

on a lighter note newegg shuffle was a big fuck you.

Cards are next to impossible to get.

some signs of a peak in hashrate maybe no one even big farms are having issues with chips

The only hard requirements are PCIe and GPU drivers. A 64 bit CPU (and OS) are only required
for new cards because Nvidia doesn't build 32 bit drivers anymore. I had Maxwell cards mining
on an old Pemtium D with 32 bit Windows, as well as a Core 2.

How many GPUs were you running on the Pentium D rig? I ask because in the past I bought one of these and wanted to use as a mining rig however I couldn't get any more than 4 GPUs to run on it. Even if the motherboard supported it.

Basically got the rig with a cheap motherboard but good CPU, replaced it with a better motherboard with more slots. However no matter what I did, I couldn't get more than 4 (or 3 don't remember exactly) to run.

After much investigation it turns out that the Pentium D or the North/South gate chipset on the motherboard just can't support too many PCIe lanes. So hence there is a limitation when it comes to mining. Sure it can mine with 1 or 2 GPUs however anymore than 3 GPUs and you run into issues.

And there is the issue with the huge power consumption of those old Pentiums. I remember from my old days of the Pentium 4 and how the fan always ran on max when you were doing light browsing. It was a huge power hog.

You pretty much nailed it on every point. My D's mobo only had 2 slots (x16+x1 ) so I didn't get the opportunity to push it.
The choice of CPU can limit the number or PCIe lanes, even now. I have an ASUS B350 that supports Ryzen and Athlon CPUs
but the specs say the third x16 slot isn't supported with an Athlon.

Funny you mention the fan noise. I used the D as an HTPC for a while but the fan spinning up and down drove me nuts.
A steady drone would have been less annoying.

I went for all of them.

Blew the dust off my old rigs today and currently making sure everything is working on them, updating Win10, BIOS, etc.  Going to try a 3060 in there see if it works ok and go from there.
