This will going to be one of the most awaited events on cryptocurrency space and the social media, what I can see on here is that, I can convince more people now as the power of cryptocurrency is approaching a greater market which is the social media. But I can't really think that it will be a big competitor to bitcoin.

Politics should not be distributed to cryptocurrency. This is completely stupid. Fb closes the largest global markets. Korea, China, Russia. For me, this coin has become interesting today. Develop like this GlobalCoin - the name does not justify itself. In general, the coin for the NATO countries. Cry

yes, I also heard the news that Facebook plans to make cryptoqurency itself, but it is still in the planning stage while Bitcoin has been around from the beginning until now, always growing well. I think it's still too early for globalcoin to compete with bitcoin.

Indeed, i am believe big investor wait for this because this is very promising investment. With member all around the world, facebook have a chance to dominate online transaction with their own globalcoin.

Bitcoin takes a long time to become what it is today.
in Crypto is not easy because new coins or new projects can grow quickly especially if the market conditions do not go well.
so I also agree that Bitcoin will still be the best for now and for a long time.

I guess it is far from rival of bitcoin. The globalcoin launched by facebook will only become an exclusive coin.
Facebook is already an established company. Unless they plan to divide the generated profit from facebook to the coin holders,
i doubt it will attract investors to buying the coin.

i guess so, and i heard a lot about this project even they can send this GlobalCoin through WhatsApp...im very curious everything about this project, it is good way to make people learn and analyze about cryptocurrency but on the other side i think GlobalCoin will also treat Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. Every kind of coin has its own excellence and deficiency, it will need many years for Globalcoin to build awareness among facebook users.

We may hear too much about the existence of certain coins that will become heavy rivals and maybe even replace the position of Bitcoin. But until now has this been proven?
The answer, "absolutely not".
This is due to several factors. Aside from BTC being the first crypto coin, BTC is also crypto that is most loved and trusted by investors, token holders and traders. This coin can also be used at several merchants. Value BTC is increasing every day. So, I feel doubtful if crypto initiated by Facebook can be a substitute or a tough rival for BTC for now.

If it is going to be centralized, there is therefore no way it can be said to be able to compete with bitcoin. As far as i am concerned, no coin, not even the Facebook GlobalCoin can compete with BTC, irrespective of whoever might be behind it.
Well, i believe it will succeed, but let us wait for it to be lunched first to see how far it will go.

As some recent rumors pointed out, Facebook's Globalcoin is deemed a stable coin, running on its own blockchain. Obviously a private own coin can't be something like bitcoin. It's more like XRP and totally against cryptocurrency's legacy. Even if facebook coin will be warmly welcomed, there's no way it could replace bitcoin.
Yes, facebook coins will be very difficult to replace bitcoin even though in public the response is very good, but to replace bitcoin will be very difficult to do, especially they are new coins even though born from a large company.

I thought facebook progressive company. And they call the coin Global and remove key countries from the list. America and their companies have recently been digging a big hole for themselves. I am disappointed. Thanks for the news.

There's should not be an ICO for this soon to be launch coin from Facebook, it's going to be a big joke if they are going to launch one, I don't see this shooting to the top 10 as soon it's launch, not because Facebook is the biggest social networking sites, they have to offer something not just their payment processor to be able to beat the top coin in the market.

Am actually also seeing a possibility of a strict competition for bitcoin if this eventually becomes a realistic project. Yet, i know bitcoin will do all it can in full capacity to remain up there..

Yeah.. This bitcoin rival should come fast. We have waited for long and willing to wait even more.. Lol. Facebook coin will really go along way in this space cos even users who castigated cryptocurency are eager to own this coin.

The main function about cryptocurrrncy is decentralized but fb coin would be centralized I think,so how we tell it's for next Bitcoin rival.

Personally, I do not regard the new cryptocurrency from Facebook as something grandiose. I do not think that he will become a rival for Bitcoin. Most likely this coin will be used mainly within its social network and will not be in high demand outside its borders.

Nice write up but I don't agree with the topic. Facebook coin sounds great since it will pull in more crowd into the crypto ecosystem, and also drive towards adoption of crypto. But referring to it or probably asking a question if it's a bitcoin rival is far fetched. Definitely a great one but never going to be a Bitcoin rival. Moreover, rumours have it that it will be a stable coin.

Alright like it or not the new Facebook coin can never be a rival to bitcoin ,just imagine how many good coins are already on cmc that are way better than bitcoin in every way yet they fail to take the crown I believe same thing will happen to this fb coin

Honestly I just heard this news and it looks like the name is bigger because it uses the global word "world", I haven't read the concept even the system at all but in my opinion this will indeed be a strong rival for Bitcoin. People have known Bitcoin for a long time and have collaborated with many large companies even though they have not yet been approved, we are just waiting for who is better.
