Oh I didn't had any issues or troubles, I just wanted to point out there was a lack of communication here but that is not important part, if you keep bumping your thread up you would probably get more people to your website as well. Having like promotions or any other marketing would increase the customer numbers but you could stop that until the new version launches and that would make sense, however when you come in here and talk about anything, and I mean anything at all because you can't just write "bump" which would be unprofessional so you could write about anything that wouldn't look suspiciously like a "bump" .

You could probably get more and more people. One of the best ways to get that new version a lot of attention is to make it known that you are working on it to plenty of people as frequently as you can.

I remember when I was a bit active here, when I was participating on the signature campaign. There were so small number of active players at that time, perhaps 1-3 online players only every day. It is better now, at least there are more online players recently. I'm sure mintdice will have more players once v2 is launched with some kind of advertisement and promotions. Surely, regular and frequent updates about the site in this thread will be good.

I remember when I was a bit active here, when I was participating on the signature campaign. There were so small number of active players at that time, perhaps 1-3 online players only every day. It is better now, at least there are more online players recently. I'm sure mintdice will have more players once v2 is launched with some kind of advertisement and promotions. Surely, regular and frequent updates about the site in this thread will be good.

That is what I am trying to say, if people do not know that mintdice is working on a new version and they just come here afterwards they will not know how much it improved and it wouldn't really matter to them, for them the new improved version will be the only version. That is still fine, I mean you can't expect to make the whole world see this version and then improve it and make them see the new version, there will be a lot of people who have never seen the current website as well that will come to the new one.

However, if you do marketing now about how people who register now before the V2 happens will get some benefit when V2 happens and make them stay as long as they can, that improvement to the new website will blow their minds hopefully and be a reason to stay even longer.

Thanks a lot for the update. I know this is none of my business but if you do not mind sharing and if it is not a crucial information at all, could you tell us where the main traffic comes from? Because if it is not bitcointalk I do wonder where casinos get their people from, there are tons of casinos in the crypto world and I have asked this probably to a million different of them and only one of them answered so far and all others declined (I assume they think I own a casino as well or work for another casino which is not true but how could I prove it) and the only one that told me said it was basically SEM where he advertised it on regular places they could, there was some places that bans gambling ads but the rest was available so he spent 50k on ads to make a huge entrance at first and got some people back that wasn't enough at first but as long as people there it would help him. Where do you get the customers? About the same idea?

Reasonable enough IMO, as it is a part of competition among online casinos in general and bitcoin casino to be more specific.
But we can guess about it, mintdice has many social media accounts including twitter, youtube, facebook, reddit, etc.
This can be source of traffic even if they do not announce the project in this forum.
There are also many other advertising service out there, so the source of traffic can come from anywhere.
The more places they promote the project, the higher chance for them to get more traffic.

Do you know how to code? If you don't I don't think that is a good idea. If you don't know how to code, even if you hire yourself devs for the job, you won't be able to distinguish their shitty work from quality work >> waste of money.

I do remember that mintdice ran their sig campaign as it was handled by yahoo.
They started with dice game and bit.rocket, if I am not mistaken.
Now they have plinko and slots. Nice addition to their games.

Yes the campaign was handled by yahoo, I was one of the participants at that time. It was running for few months and as I remember they have a plan to relaunch it when the v2 is ready.

You get it wrong if I can recall it correctly. Mintdice started with dice, plinko and slot while the bitrocket is the newest one.

It seems that mintdice has found other sources of traffic outside bitcointalk. I doubt that they will relaunch the signature campaign anytime soon. What they need to do is offering more promotions because there is lack of promotion since mintdice came into this forum. I believe if mintdice can offer more promotions, it will boost their traffic up than what they get so far.

Yeah, this place has insane potential with all the information we have and it is not even funny, it is seriously incredible. Think about it, they said that they have seen some increase in numbers in recent months and that is with the current version, they haven't done signature campaign in a while and they still have a new version coming up.

With the new version, with the increased numbers, with the new signature campaign if they do, with the new games they put in, we are talking about maybe 5x of the number of users that they had only 6 months ago, maybe they are there already but I just wanted to be conservative with my prediction.

This place was somewhere I always liked because the owner is basically feels like a "friend" type of person and that matters in casinos but its also getting insanely recognized in crypto gambling world as well.

The problem with third party slot providers, aside from the fact that they aren't provably fair and you can read about real verifiable "rigged" stories where providers don't pay out due to "machine malfunction" and the like, is that you aren't really providing any new value to the casino / Bitcoin market. To get people to come to your website you need to offer something new and compelling. So that would be my best piece of advice if you were ever to reconsider is how you would offer something to make players really want to come to you.

If your website is solely going to offer the same products that already exist on 100s of websites, I'd ask you to try to look from the outside-in and then ask why you'd ever want to play on that website. Once you can answer that question honestly, you are on a much better footing.

All that said, the Bitcoin casino business is definitely tough, but Bitcoiners are very smart people and as our trust profile grows and our offerings grow, we think we'll start to win over some decent market share. We're really looking forward to our new product line we're launching but development is always a bit on the slow side. Nonetheless, things are always getting closer.

I mostly agree with that sentiment. We're going to offer better quality promotions eventually. It's hard to offer promotions at the moment and compete with other websites because of our investment bankroll where roughly 50% of profits go to investors (meanwhile other sites can use this 50% for their promotions, for example). Once we have our new games, we'll probably have some promotions that we can roll out so long as we can ensure they are fair to the public since some of our new games won't be attached to the investment bankroll.

Personally, I've never been a fan of these "races" because these can always be rigged internally. What's to stop the winners of these races always being an account that the house controls and paying themselves rather than their true gamblers? How would anyone ever know? I've never heard a proper answer to this and I dislike the transparency of these things personally.

If you have any ideas for promotions that are fair, or if you'd like to see races or other standard/normal promotions anyway, we can offer them. I'd be happy to hear from yourself or others what types of promotions you would like to see on MintDice once we start releasing our new games and I can keep a list of things to keep in mind once we start discussions and developments for this. We won't be able to do promotions until then since all of our development is focused on getting 2.0 and the new games brought to you all as soon as possible.

On the discussion of promotions, we will have our rewards program releasing sometime after 2.0 and we have almost entirely figured out what we're going to do with this in the mean time on paper, but the deployment is a separate issue but we'll be able to write about that here soon enough so you'll see what's in store with that.

^Yeah usually on marketing classes that example is given with word "apple". When teaching about SEO they tell you to google the word "apple" and most often the fruit apple comes up but you will see that apple the brand will come up a lot as well, and that is to show you that name doesn't matter, a ton of people try to be unique and try to get their SEO awesome and all that so that they can find customers, but in reality if you are good enough, you will be ranked without a trouble ever.

So, it is not about how you do the marketing, it is about what you market and if you market something very good that everyone wants, that means the marketing will be quite easy as well, hell most of the huge companies marketing is just flexing on how great they are and better than the competition most of the time.

It's true. Google as a search engine is fairly complicated and takes in many factors into account. Mostly, if Google feels that the search results provide the best end value to the customer, then it will rank higher for those terms. Even if the word description is not identical.

In many countries/regions presently, MintDice has started to trend towards the very top of results for the search "bitcoin dice" among other things which is testament to something, at least, on that logic
We hope to continue rising on many other terms as the brand and product increases in quality and user base.
