I show 7 connections to the ULTC wallet, and the blockchain works. It was being traded on Cryptsy, so it did have value until Cryptsy became insolvent recently. I don't know of another exchange for it so it could be removed, but the wallet doesn't cause any problems and merged mined coins are freely gained I just haven't been in a rush to get rid of it.

I recently purchased a PinIdea X11 ASIC to evaluate it, and can confirm that it works well on the pool. I would suggest using fixed difficulty of 4096 for best results to keep your reject rate low.

I don't find the pool disappointing. It is actually quite reliable and profitable. Anyway, it is good to try out something new once in a while.

The problem is actually with Feathercoin itself. There's no "fix" that I'm aware of, as they have multiple different/slightly incompatible versions of the wallet code that are running on the network. Those versions (0.8.x and 0.9.x) will fork blocks from each other. Unfortunately there hasn't been any active core FTC development work to fix that problem for a year+ now, and the last time they tried it failed -- with version 0.9.3 I believe. Lots of discussion about that in various posts at FTC's forum.

Altmining was the only standard pool that I have listed as active Swing mining. I'm not sure if there are any still pools on the Internet they take us. If you find any please let us know!

We did have Swing mining when it was launched, but it was removed due to low activity from the development team and lack of interest from miners eventually.
